Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake for Dinner

August 26, 2010 by Julie 42 Comments

Remember that time I ate a huge slice of coconut cake for dinner?

In the words of Britney Spears, Oops, I did it again.

Check out tonight’s dinner:

christas bday 003

That would be a half-eaten slice of Godiva chocolate cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. I almost ate this lil’ beauty too fast to snap a picture, but I busted out the camera half way through so you guys could ooh and ahh over this deliciousness.

I nabbed this slice of cheesecake at a birthday party for Ryan’s supervisor after work today.

To celebrate his supervisor’s birthday, a big group of people met at Cricketers Arms Pub & Eatery and enjoyed cake, cheesecake and a selection of appetizers.

christas bday 001

I enjoyed two pieces of a quesadilla, a mozzarella stick, several chips, many more onion rings that are pictured above and a couple of ribs (unpictured). Healthy options were limited (or completely unavailable), but I’m not gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoyed this greasy bar food!

I’m cuttin’ this post a little short tonight because I still have a lot to do tonight!

Packing is on the agenda for a special trip I have planned for the weekend.

See ya in the morning my friends. 😀

Question of the Evening

I love when bloggers show that even the healthiest lifestyles (like yours!) has a little wiggle room in it 🙂

That cheesecake looks amazeballs. And I never say amazeballs. 😉

Heck yes I do!!!! Sometimes my friends and I go out for “Dinnert”, which is dessert for dinner 🙂 I usually go for a big piece of choc cake + a glass of red wine. Perfection in my opinion 🙂 I also make your protein brownies (well a huge one with PB and ice cream topping) for dinnert quite often 😉

I’ve eating massive amounts of frozen yogurt for meals… there is nothing wrong with having a splurge meal! Although I will say I can never make it through an entire piece of cheesecake. They are so big!

Though I might skip the dessert-for-dinner thing if I could have a big plate of those onion rings for dinner instead!

My husband’s birthday was on the 12th this month and I ordered a whole one of those for his birthday! It’s currently chilling in our freezer (after we gave half away and ate some ourselves), but that thing taunts me every time I open the freezer! It’s sooooooooo good. We love getting a piece here and there from The Cheesecake Factory to try, and Red Velvet was his favorite. Sooooo, I rambled all that to say that we have plans next Friday to have cheesecake for dinner! 🙂

    AH! Looks so good!

I do eat dessert for dinner sometimes, but I’ll try to eat carrot sticks or an apple after to make myself feel better about it and “balance it all out.” I know it’s silly but I feel better about it afterwards haha

It would probably be better for my waistline, but no actually. I find that I don’t feel full if I just eat dessert.

So I have to eat an actual dinner and THEN dessert. Many more calories than just eating either one alone!

loveee dessert for dinner! okay fine i just love dessert in general, doesn’t need a specified time or meal name. and i also love greasy pub food – i secretly get excited when there isn’t a healthier option on the menu. I’m always down for mozzarella sticks and nachos!

I usually don’t do JUST dessert for dinner. Usually it’s more like dinner as an appetizer that I inhale to get the oh-so-sweet main course!

That Godiva cheesecake brings me back. In college, me and my 4 girlfriends would go out to the Cheesecake Factory downtown, order a couple slices of these and giggle the night away. We actually had a name for that particular cheesecake – “The Man.” E.g. I failed this final AND my bf and I are having a fight. I need The Man stat. 🙂

P.S. Have you tried the red velvet cheesecake? So good!

Oh yes! When I was younger, my dad would golf on Thursday nights and my mom never wanted to cook. Thursdays were usually our DIY nights and eat whatever leftovers there were from the week. My mom would often take my brother and me to Friendly’s to get a Reese Peanut Butter Cup sundae for dinner. She always said we’d have our “real” dinner afterwards but we were always too full to eat anything after the ginormous sundae! 🙂

That’s obviously the best dinner ever. I have to tell you, your tip on adding instant sugar free pudding mix to greek yogurt is the best idea ever. This morning I added some choc mix to plain greek yogurt and stirred in some frozen raspberries…insanely delicious.

If presented with a pumpkin pie versus a pizza pie, I’d take the former!

I went on a trip to Guatemala this past November, and almost all the meals were in restauarants…. being a vegetarian who doesn’t like/has trouble digesting vegetables, and also really dislikes greasy food, left me with few options, so several of my meals were straight up dessert!! And my tummy actually felt better after those meals than some of the more “normal” meals of pizza or pasta!!
