I Go Big

September 3, 2010 by Julie 44 Comments

It seems that whenever I eat a meal I always end up with crumbs on my clothes, a smear of food on my face or chocolate on my arm. Yes, chocolate on my arm. This has happened multiple times. I don’t know how.

Today as I was eating my ham unwich at Jimmy John’s with Ryan, he motioned to the side of his mouth, signaling that I, yet again, had food stuck to the side of my mouth.

Pre Food-On-My-Face

Ham Unwich

“Why do I always do that?” I asked. “I always seem to ‘save some food for later’ when I eat!  This is ridiculous!”

Ryan said, “Don’t worry about it. When you eat, you just go big.”

I agreed. Mealtime isn’t for quitters in my book. 😉 Go big, or go home.

Ryan Goes Big at Mealtime, Too. One of the Many Reasons I Love Him.

Once we were done eating at Jimmy John’s, we headed over to Mochi for some soft serve.

I filled a cup with peanut butter soft serve and topped it off with Butterfinger pieces and shredded coconut.

PB + Butterfingers + Coconut

This combination was winner, winner, chicken dinner.

So good!

After finishing our soft serve Ryan and I talked about making tonight a “fro yo for dinner” night. We have yet to visit Menchie’s, a new soft serve place in Winter Park and tonight we may change this.

I also feel like being a little experimental in the kitchen this evening, so we’ll see how things end up!

Totally Random

I know this is totally random, but I am seriously loving the song “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz.

I can’t get enough of it. It came on while Ryan and I were eating our frozen yogurt and I wanted to drop my fro yo and break into a dance party on the spot. (Okay, maybe not drop the fro yo… More like place it to the side to enjoy after the song concluded.)

I wanted this song played on repeat during my bachelorette party last weekend and whenever it came on, it was like Christmas morning. I actually looked over at my sister dancing when it was playing and I felt like I was looking at myself dancing.

Turns out all the Bream girls dance the same: Not sexy, but with utter abandon.

At one point Leslie even busted out the cross your arms over your legs move.

A Classic

Obviously I had to join in.

We’re more of the “spin me around” and do the “Carlton” kinda girls than the “drop it like it’s hoooot” type.

Go big or go home. Love it. Dainty eating is for sissies 🙂

I’m horrible at “popular” dancing, but actually really good at stuff like ballroom and the jitterbug!! My friends may make fun of me now, but I’ll be tearing up the dance floor to all the classics at their weddings!

Depends how much I’ve had to drink 😉

I like to touch on a little bit of every style… classic/romantic for my wedding, goofy & fun to oldies, and the occasional pop lock & droppin’ it when I’m hanging out with my girls 🙂

#1, whenever I snack while watching tv, I’ve got like a trillion cheerios on my shirt and my fiance always remarks on it. I always answer back, “whatever, I was saving those for later” 😛
#2 I love fro-yo! Green tea with mango, kiwi and coconut is my fav combo.
#3, I do the ‘shrug your shoulders & raise the roof’ as I “ooh, ooh,” it’s hot 😉

I sadly have one move… my old roommate refers to it as “the dice”. Both hands go into a fist and I shake them, it might sound weird because I’m sure it is! I’m convinced it goes with every song too!

I am the same way! I feel like I constantly have food everywhere… I think that tends to happen a lot with healthier foods, too. Lettuce just goes all over the place! 😉

Oh, and I used to get the same “saving it for later?” joke, especially when I had long hair.

I have absolutely no dancing skills whatsoever, and yet I love pretending like I do!

Once, I began dancing and my guy friend thought I was KIDDING. My girl friends and I enjoy making up dance moves such as “deliver the baby” and “the Jackson Pollock.” So I guess our style is kind of dancing superstars?

Also, for solidarity and hilarity: I once put my bra in the wash only to realize that there was CHOCOLATE all over the INSIDE of it. Um…apparently I stuff my face AND my bra with sweets.

I love that song too. I loved it even before I knew the name or who sang it.

We were at California Adventures and they have this section in the park called “GLOW” where they have dancers and DJ’s , looks like a music video set. They played the song and I couldn’t get it out of my head the whole night.

    Haha! Love this question.

Totally with you on the “that does not look sexy” kind of dancing. But you know what? I think that’s sexy in itself 🙂

When a good song comes on, I just can’t HELP but get my groove on! It’s like the greatest dance party on Earth in my mind. But on the outside, it looks like way too much elbow flailing and head snapping . Still, that doesn’t stop the party going on inside…dance away!

Go big or go home is definitely the best motto to have when it comes to eating! I am the messiest eater, my boyfriend always makes fun of me because I somehow get food on me no matter what I’m eating. My clothes have so many stains..

And for dancing, I am definitely not a sexy dancer. I just have fun with it and dance silly- it’s more fun not to take yourself – or life – too seriously.

I do a form of swing dancing called ‘Imperial’. It is sort of like the jitterbug, but it can be done to fast or slow music. I also like waltz, cha cha, and some of the newer line dances.
