Well, I actually like two-ingredient crock pot pulled pork even more. Though the pulled chicken lends itself to more recipes, this crock pot pulled pork is tender and moist and oh-so-good when topped with a little BBQ sauce.
Like the crock pot chicken recipe, you only two ingredients and a crock pot to make it!
Grab a can of beef broth and some pork and let the crock pot do the cooking!
After covering the pork in the broth, I set the crock pot on low and headed to work yesterday. By the time I came home, it was ready for pullin’. Using two forks, I pulled the meat before topping it with BBQ sauce.
My lunch today included leftovers from last night’s pulled pork dinner.
Along with my BBQ pulled pork sandwich, I enjoyed cucumbers and grape tomatoes.
For dessert I had a few holiday pretzels to satisfy my sweet tooth.
These babies are good.
In other news, guess what arrived in the mail last night?
A disk of our wedding photos!
Brace yourself for some picture-packed recaps coming up soon. 😀

I am so not kidding when I say I purchased a crock pot a few months ago and have never used it! I’ve been wanting to find some great recipes to cook with, and this just might be the first thing I try!
Thanks, Julie!

And we’re having crock pot chicken for dinner tonight. I’m trying mine cooked in the slow cooker with a can of diet root beer. I’ve heard that works well too. It’s my first time trying it that way. Should be interesting. LOL
Michelle says
Can’t wait to see pictures!!!
I just got a crock pot aka slow cooker for my bridal shower! I can’t wait to use it. When you make the chicken what kind of chicken do you place in the pot? tenders, breast?
peanutbutterfingers says
i use chicken breasts b/c it’s easier to pull, tenders will work, too!
Michelle says
aahh awesome! thanks! defrosted of course, right?
Hope says
I love using the crock pot. I really need to try using it more often. It makes for such an easy dinner.
I can’t wait to see more of your wedding pictures! Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful from the pictures you posted already and the video from yesterday. 🙂
Annette says
I love LOVE crock pot chicken. Thanks for the new ideas for recipes- can’t wait to see pics of the wedding!
peanutbutterfingers says
yes! i’ve heard that placing frozen chicken breasts in a crock pot can cause them to remain in an “unsafe” temperature zone for too long. not sure about the validity of that statement, but i always make sure they’re thawed!
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
WOW that’s easy! i think i’ll be making crock pot pulled pork and/or chicken tomorrow!
Amanda (Eating Up) says
Ahh you must be so excited that you got the wedding photos! Can’t wait to see them!
BIOCHEMISTA says
WOOO! Can’t wait to see the photos! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Jean says
What type of pork did you use? tenderloin? ribs?
I used boneless ribs once (didn’t know they were boneless). Left them in the pot all day and when we opened it for dinner – they had basically pulled themselves. hehe. They just fell apart which was great.
peanutbutterfingers says
i’m hesitant to answer this b/c i really don’t know! for some reason i want to say the butt???
Jean says
That is probably it. I meant to ask that one too. I know it wasn’t chops 🙂 haha. I usually throw in a bottle of BBQ sauce, but will definitely have to try out the beef stock.
Nathan Miller says
Um perhaps by the look of the cut it appears to be pork shoulder which is more lean and healthier as well
kelsey says
Next time, instead of beef broth, try it with a can of Dr. Pepper. Makes it SO tender! I love it!
Holly says
YES!! Can’t wait to see pictures 😀
And, I still have to watch your wedding video- my STUPID speakers at work decided to blow yesterday- total bummer- and I forgot to look @ it when I got home. But definitely watching it tonight- I’m sure it’s beautiful.

I cannot wait to see your photos Julie! I’ve been following your site for a few months now and I’ve never commented before. Your video nearly made me cry!! But I had to hold back because I am at work. I’m newly engaged and I HOPE that we get a videographer if we can afford one. If not, maybe one of our friends can do us a huge favor. Congrats on your wedding! 🙂 You looked beautiful.

lili says
I’ve never had pork– dont punch me.
its weird, i love chicken, fish, and all that good stuff, but red meat freaks me out, though i sometimes will eat a burger 🙂

Cassie @ A Very Busy Mind says
As someone who – at 24 – just learned how to bake chicken (‘This is so EASY. I just put it in and let it bake – no flipping or stirring? Why have I let this intimate me for so long?’), I’m very intrigued by the crockpot idea.
I can throw something in and let it cook all day without touching it? I’m sold.
BUT
How long is too long to cook? How hot should it be?
Can you do a Crockpot Cooking for Dummies post? 🙂
Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers says
haha! yes, no need to flip or touch! if you cook it on low it needs to cook for about 6 hrs. you can leave it in there longer though (i usually leave it in there for the whole day while i’m at work & it’s totally fine).
