Sometimes Mondays need a little extra help in order to feel awesome, so I figured trying out a new pancake recipe might be a good way to add a little pizazz to the start of the week.
I used my Greek yogurt protein pancakes as a guideline, but instead of strawberry banana yogurt and egg whites, I used 2 percent Greek yogurt an a whole egg in the recipe.
I also added a little more oats and roughly two tablespoons of orange marmalade to the mix before blending everything together with my immersion blender. (I use a Cuisinart immersion blender and love it.)
In the end I had a delicious plate of orange marmalade Greek yogurt pancakes!
They weren’t fluffy like normal pancakes and were a little more dense, but I have a filling these babies will have no problem keeping me satisfied until I’m ready for a late morning snack.
Now I’m off to teach TRX for an instructor who is out today! On my way to work, I’m planning to make a quick pit stop at the post office to drop something in the mail for my Secret Santa recipient. I received my first present from my Secret Santa this weekend and thought it was adorable!
So fun!
Question of the Morning
- Are you doing a Secret Santa gift exchange this year?
Melissa says
Yum, the pancakes look and sound so great and I love the ingredients! I truly feel greek yogurt makes anything better!
Jackie says
The snowman poop is hilarious!!!!
Tara | Treble in the Kitchen says
I’m planning a secret santa exchange for my coworkers 🙂 Can’t wait!
Ashley @ Power, Love, and Self-Discipline says
Haha such a cute note!!

I’m doing a Secret Santa with my roommates! so fun!
Linz @ Itz Linz says
those pancakes look awesome!! we used to do secret santa at school, but stopped for some reason – sad because i always loved it!!
Ali @ Peaches and Football says
I LOVE secret santa exchanges but no one at my office does it. I remember doing one my freshman year of college though. It was a riot and people spent so much time trying to figure out who had given who what. Some people were really creative too!
What a fun idea of putting marmalade in pancakes. The addition of the oats too all blended is something I have to try!
Becky says
Your pancakes look delicious! I love your regular Greek Yogurt pancakes, so I would probably love these too. 🙂 I am not participating in a Secret Santa this year, but your gift is too cute!
sanaz@runforcake says
Yum! This looks so good. I love your Secret Santa present so far. They did a great job. Our office did a gift exchange and it was so fun seeing all the presents. Sadly, half the people did gift cards which are awesome gifts but not very fun.
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
Ooooo yum! I never would have thought to add marmalade to my batter! And I’m doing two white elephant exchanges – one gag gifts only and the other for my running group!
Erin @ The Almond Eater says
I love that Secret Santa present hahah the best. I am doing a Secret Santa presents at work but it’s mostly just gift cards….totally not exciting.
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
I need to get an immersion blender! I’m sure you can use for it tons of stuff – pancakes, soups, etc. The pancakes sound yummy!
We aren’t doing a specific Secret SANTA, but we do a Secret Sister gift exchange all throughout the year within my MOPS group. It’s so fun! Of course because it’s around Christmas, we’ve been exchanging “Christmas-y” gifts, so it kinda feels like a Secret Santa. 🙂
Holly @ EatGreatBEGreat says
What a great pancake recipe! I love the addition of the orange marmalade!
Sara @ LovingOnTheRun says
No secret santa this year but that is okay! I really do need to get on shopping though – we are SO SO far behind!!
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves says
Mmm those pancakes look like a lovely way to start off your Monday!
I absolutely adore the snowman poop! 🙂 Such a cute idea.
mary @ minutes per mile says
my siblings and i do a secret santa swap every year. it’s much more fun (and affordable) than getting everyone gifts!
skigirl0891 says
I’ve been wanting to put orange marmalade to use as well, I was thinking some pulled chicken and pair it with rice perhaps for a healthier “orange chicken”!
Kelly @ Kelly Runs for Food says
Those pancakes look delicious! We do a white elephant Christmas gift exchange in my office every year and it’s always a lot of fun.
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles says
Mmm, those pancakes look awesome – I’ve definitely been eating more pancakes than usual for breakfasts lately. Perfect choice when the snow’s coming down outside!
And I do a Secret Santa exchange with my dad’s side of the family every year, so I’m buying for a cousin of mine this year.
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl says
Love the addition of the orange marmalade! I’ve been adding Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter to mine and it is deeeelicious!!!
Life Outside The Box says
That secret santa gift is so stinkin’ cute! I will definitely have to steal that idea for my next secret santa exchange.
Ashley says
I’m doing a secret santa exchange with my family this year. There’s a lot of us so it’s WAY easier/cheaper than buying everyone a present!
Chelsea says
No secret santa exchange for me this year, but I remember getting that from a friend when I was younger (probably 13 years ago) and I took it literally haha I thought they really thought I was mean person and that is why they gave me “poop”.
Lili says
I am doing a white elephant with best friends and husbands! All gag gifts worth $10! Should be very entertaining. We have kids and they are doing a cookie swap with one another.
Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
Those look so tasty! I wish I was creative in the kitchen…it would be quite beneficial I believe!
Chelsea @ BigBitesLittleBudget says
I rediscovered my love for protein pancakes last week. I cannot get enough and these look like such a fun twist on my typical peanut butter and banana. I must try them!
Miranda @ Lovely Wife Lovely Life says
I looooove pancakes. I even requested that they be my birthday dinner! 😉 I’m not really an “orange” person…. my mom put my medicine in orange juice once when I was kid, which scarred me for the rest of my life. Hello prime example of classical conditioning!
Erin @ Girl Gone Veggie says
I love Secret Santas! Yours looks fun!
Linda @ Running4two says
I’m not doing one, but I really wish that I was! I will be participating in a few White Elephant games and those are always fun. 🙂
Erika says
Looks delicious! I have a non related question about Sadie! I am considering getting a Vizsla because I want an active dog that can handle running with me. My biggest concern is having a dog that barks a lot– don’t get me wrong, Im a dog person and I know that dogs like to bark, but Im trying to avoid breeds that are known for being overly vocal. Does Sadie bark much? Thanks!
amber says
my friends and I that lived all over used to do a secret santa and we’d mail things to each other, so much fun! but then some of them ruined it and started looking at the post stamp to figure out where it came from and knew who theirs was…
Kelly says
I love Secret Santa, I wish my friends and I were doing one, they’re so fun!
Stacy says
HI Julie, Do you need to be certified in TRX to teach or you having your training cert is sufficient?
Ashley says
Those pancakes look AMAZING! And now that you mention it we aren’t doing a secret santa this year, which is kind of a bummer!
Anna @ Fitness à la Anna says

Pancakes looks super yummy. I use Greek yogurt and egg in mine, too. I bet the orange marmalade was extra delicious.
My daughter decided as a family we should do secret santa gifts. So we drew and she ended up with her own name so we had to redraw. It’s really cute how excited she is about it.
Love the snowman poop. I think I might add it to my co-worker’s gift bags. I think I’ll stick in some hot cocoa, too.
Michelle @ A Healthy Mrs says
Cute present 😉
Ashley @ BrocBlog says
I’m not but now I wish I was!

Those pancakes look tasty! Do you need an immersion blender to make them or would a regular blender or mixer work?
