PB + B

April 29, 2014 by Julie 43 Comments

How about some peanut butter and banana slices to kick off the day?

peanut butter banana bagel

I’ll never say no to that combination!

For breakfast this morning, I topped a toasted bagel with natural peanut butter, a sliced banana and a sprinkling of cinnamon.

Bagel with Peanut Butter and Banana

I dreamed about this breakfast before I got out of bed this morning and it was all the motivation I needed to throw off the covers and make my way into the kitchen.

Since I elected to sleep in this morning, my workout will have to occur sometime in the middle of the work day. I’m thinking a Piloxing class or a simple treadmill run with some upper body strength training may be on the agenda for today.

Off to work!

I don’t blame you! I’m always ok with a mid-morning workout (any later than that, and it risks being skipped, though.)

I made something similar this morning but used sun butter (allergic to PB which I know is cray cray) a little honey, and banana all wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla! Really easy for on-the-go!

That breakfast looks great, I add a little flax seed to mine for some more staying power. Question I have it, what kind of bagel do you eat? I tried so many, but most are so heavy and doughy, so I usually use english muffins.

I had pretty much an identical breakfast this morning! I also added chia seeds on mine to kick up the nutrition and add a little crunch. I think PB+banana on toast/bagel/English muffin will always be one of my favorite simple meals/snacks. It never disappoints!
