A few weeks ago, I blogged about a couple of free workout videos I found and loved on YouTube.
Though there are obviously a lot of crazy videos out there, I think YouTube can be a phenomenal resource for those looking to break out of a fitness rut, explore a plethora of at-home workout options or discover something new.
When I blogged about a few YouTube videos I enjoyed, I asked you guys to weigh in and share some of your favorite YouTube workout channels with me. Below you will find a list of 10 YouTube workout channels that either I love or you guys recommended!
This is probably my go-to YouTube workout channel. The videos are straight forward and I feel like the exercises are performed with great form and enough instruction for beginners to feel comfortable. This channel has everything from quick exercise demo videos to full-length workout videos.
This channel has lots of free workout videos from top trainers including Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, Jane Fonda, Billy Blanks Jr., Tara Stiles and more. I first discovered this channel when I was looking for a way to try out one of Jillian Michaels’ workouts before purchasing one of her DVDs. It’s a good one!
If you are looking for fun and upbeat workout videos, check out the Blogilates channel. Cassey is super spunky and creates workout videos set to popular music that makes the time pass by in a flash!
A bunch of you guys recommended Jessica Smith’s YouTube channel and love her free full-length workout videos. Jessica’s channel features barre workouts, core workouts, cardio, yoga and more!
Turbulence Training focuses on metabolic resistance training and no-equipment bodyweight workouts that you can do anywhere! I’ve used this channel to inspire some of the TRX workouts I teach at the gym.
I really enjoy the “Class FitSugar” section of this YouTube channel where I know I can always find new workouts that cater to my mood. Whether I’m looking for a barre workout, a sweaty cardio workout or a workout that targets my arms, this channel has it!
This is a reader recommended channel that features lots of quick, intense workout videos. ZuzkaLight’s channel is filled with fast workouts, exercise breakdowns, recipes and more.
Many of you shared your love for this channel with me! Karena and Katrina are best friends and trainers who create workout videos (often in gorgeous settings!) that have a carefree, energetic vibe. Their channel categorizes their workouts, making it easy to find the workout you’re looking for, whether it be a booty workout, ab workout or yoga!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Sarah in person and love that she is 100 percent herself in her videos. Sarah has a way of making you feel like you’re working out with a friend and her channel is frequently updated, so there’s always something new to watch!
This is another channel many of you love for yoga workout videos! Tara is the founder of Strala Yoga in New York City and I love the way Tara makes yoga feel more accessible. I love yoga but find it intimidating at times and Tara has a way of teaching that is easy both friendly and easy to follow.

There’s so many that I love on this list and new ones I can’t wait to try! There’s one I’d like to recommend that isn’t on here and that channel is called doyouyoga. Erin Motz is so down to earth and teaches yoga in such a relatable way and best of all she has a yoga a day for 30 days series with 15 min yoga workouts that relax you, make you sore, and teach you all the basics in yoga. The crow pose one changed my life and made it so much easier to do when i go to yoga at the gym. Highly recommend! 🙂
Julie says
Thanks for the rec! I’ll check it out!
Hannah says
I second that. I have been doing the 30 days (out of order of course!) for the last month or so. I love how short they are! Can’t wait to try some more of these channels too.

The PURELY TWINS are wonderful! They don’t have full length videos any more (but their older videos are workouts in real-time) but you can get the full workout on their blog. So many short and effective workouts with lots of core/plank focus!

I’ve had the opportunity to take a Stiles Yoga class at Sports Club LA and it was unlike any other yoga I’ve taken before. The free-form movement is great. Did you watch the Bravo show Tone it Up featuring Karena and Katrina? They are adorable!

Very helpful post for people who do not have the time and resources to hit the regular gym or for those who are in need of guidance regarding workout routines and training. It helps beginners get a kick start in working out. I started composing my own routines by watching other people do theirs and then compiled a few workouts that I enjoy and mix them with others that works for me.

Thanks for sharing these! I love blogilates and the Tone it up gals but can’t wait to check out these others 🙂
Stephanie @ Whole Health Dork says
Thanks for sharing! I just got the YouTube channel on my Wii, so now I can work out in my living room instead of the office with the laptop (very hard to see at different heights). I’ve been using it mostly for yoga workouts since I have a pretty good library of Jillian Michaels and barre3 DVDs that I rotate for my strength/length days. The yoga channel I’ve been using is “DoYogaWithMe”. It’s nothing fancy or high production, but there is a good variety and as a runner and someone who sits at a desk all day, I especially appreciate the hip openers!
Emily@WhateverFloatsYourOats says

Erica says
Ali Kamenova yoga is my favorite yoga! (challenging “interval” style, e.g., pulses, etc.)
Rebekah Shoop says
I tried out the Tara Stiles one — it was great and now I am tempted to go and do one of the Strala workshops! The Tone it Up pair are kinda “out there” — I thought it was a spoof on 80’s music videos or something! It was the valentines one and they were posing for boudoir photos in lingerie…
Fitness Blender is amazing — straight to the point, no nonsense, easy to navigate.
Ruth says
Thanks for the list! Another one that’s really awesome is CHARLIEJAMES1975 there are a bunch of different trainers on there and they are awesome! Some really long workouts and short intense ones. They do use equipment, but you can do them without or improvise making your own sandbag and stuff.
