Looking Back: My 24th Year

April 27, 2010 by Julie 38 Comments

In my new-found old age, I think I’m becoming one smart food-combo  cookie, because this lunch was totally random and basically the jam!!!

I present to you, the ravioli sandwich!

Ravioli Sandwich

I made the sandwich by topping a toasted Arnold whole wheat sandwich thin with Laughing Cow light original Swiss cheese, spinach and two large ravioli poofs, which were leftover from last night’s dinner.

Laughing Cow

Ravioli Sandwich and Steamed Broccoli

On the side I also ate steamed broccoli, sprinkled with garlic salt, for some added nutrients.

Broc

For dessert, I had a small bowl of butterscotch chips and roasted peanuts.

Butterscotch Chips + Roasted Peanuts

Ryan and I also enjoyed this little combination after dinner last night. Ryan said it tastes like a peanut butter bar. It’s a winner!

Looking Back

I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane of my 24th year through pictures. I love birthdays but also always feel a little sad that another year is gone, so looking back over the fun times of the past year of my life helps make me smile!

I hope you enjoy this little flashback!

You’ve had quite the year girl! You are the happiest person I know seriously! I hope your 25th year will be filled with as much joy and fun like in all your awesome pics.

PS. Goooo Sadie for wining the derby 🙂

Bdays don’t mean much to me. I dont like the focused attention so I dont really like celebrating it. I didn’t even want a party for my 21st bday but my friend made me do it with him at a bar in Chicago. We did a double 21st bday celebration. It turned out to be a lot of fun – at least that’s what my pictures tell me 🙂 I enjoy a quieter celebration with really close friends and family. This makes me truly happy on my birthday.

Your photos and your family are gorgeous!!! I love birthdays – they kind of make me a little sad sometimes because they tend to imply having to take on more responsibility (like car insurance, bills, and all those other lovely expenses!!) but they’re also fun and exciting because they mean loads of opportunities too! i hope you had a great day! 🙂

I LOVE how you are getting so creative with your meals & snacks! That ravioli sandwich idea is ingenious! Also, I like how you are eating more nuts and blogging about them…such a great source of heart-healthy fats! 🙂

24 certainly was an eventful (& fun) year for you!! I look forward to see what amazing things 25 brings! 😀
