Boys Are So Sweet

October 7, 2010 by Julie 26 Comments

Boys are so sweet.

When one of my coworkers overheard me telling one of my colleagues about my wedding dress fitting yesterday, I received this email from him:

Good news! If your wedding dress doesn’t work out, you can always wear this one:

Patriotic Bride

Great.

I feel better. 😉

Lunch

What legitimately made me feel better was my yummy lunch!

Today’s meal included an avocado and turkey bagelwich with Robert Rothschild raspberry wasabi dipping mustard. I also enjoyed a simple broccoli slaw salad topped with Italian dressing on the side.

Thursday's Spread

Broccoli Slaw Salad

I need to include more avocados in my life. After Monday’s night’s ABC sandwich and today’s bagelwich, I realized just how much a couple of creamy slices of avocado can do to an otherwise boring meal.

(Side note: I accidentally misspelled “boring” in the previous sentence and when I went to correct it, a suggestion for the word “boning” came up. Wildly inappropriate, but also quite hilarious… That is if you have a terribly immature sense of humor like I do.)

Yummy lunch fo’ sho’.

Avocado!

(Another side note: I really need to make this avocado-laden sandwich again. Win.)

Tonight

I am anxious to get off work today because I have quite a few things on my to-do list, including whipping up a batch of Ryan’s all-time favorite cookies for Foodie Friday tomorrow.

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

The broc slaw is a new love of mine. It’s so crunchy, and great to just throw into a salad 🙂

That’s an awesome gown. But yours is going to be PERFECT, so you don’t even have to think about anything else–even as a joke! 🙂 Avocado is my absolute favorite addition to a salad or brown rice tortilla. It may sound strange, but I also like it drizzled with a little honey for a sweet treat. And I absolutely adore the wasabi mustard! Definitely learned my lesson about how hot it is the first time I drenched my dinner with it.

I love avocado. It truly is a fruit of the gods.

I hope you get out of work early! Sounds like you have a lot to do. At least it won’t be a boning day!

Avocado is one of my favorites! It is such a great addition to pretty much any and every thing. As for the broccoli slaw, I need to pick some of this stuff up next time i’m at the store. It looks so good and would be the perfect little side salad to my lunch. 🙂
