Huh?
That would be a peanut butter and pecan pumpkin butter sandwich, of course.
Starring…
Git in mah belly!
This morning, after taking an oh-so-schweaty BodyPump class, I inhaled a pb and ppb sandwich along with a small slice of red velvet pound cake that I purchased at the farmers’ market yesterday.
Love the pop of color from the pound cake!
It was a good one.
Fast forward through a productive morning at work and…
Lunch
Lunchtime!
If you figured I’d once again be enjoying a bowl o’ black bean chili, you would be correct.
I enjoyed the last of the chili with a big dollop of plain Greek yogurt on top.
The chili is officially gone and I am officially full.
Semi-Ridiculous
Now I just have to share a semi-ridiculous purchase I made over the weekend.
I can’t wait to plaster Sadie’s paw print into this bad boy.
She’ll love it, I’m sure. 😉
Aw, I like that ornament. I want to get those for my pets!
Hi Julie,
I’m reading your blog for a while now, I really like it 🙂 I just wanted to say how good it is you can manage to eat delicious things (like cake sometimes) and just stick with one or two. For me it’s really difficult.. everytime I try just to eat one piece.. sum of that sugar says to my brain: eat everything thats in tha house!
And that black beans chili food looks good! Gotta make that too. Keep on bloggin, love to read.
Rebecca
it helps if i can get AWAY from it after eating it… otherwise i often have the same problem. it’s a lot easier to eat only one piece of cake when you then leave the house & head to work & no longer have the option to eat another slice!
so cute! greek yog on chili? sounds odd, but i bet its tasty! 🙂
Not that you need ideas for what to do with pecan pumpkin butter, but mixing it 1:1 with melted chocolate can make some mean truffles.
Oh that paw print ornament is super cute! We have a stocking for our cat that hangs on the fireplace… i think all animal owners do little things like that 🙂
Oh my gosh, the paw print ornament is so awesome! I’m sure Sadie will love feeling represented on your X-mas tree. The PB and PPB sandwich looks so delicious. About how much of each do you put on the sandwich thin? I always tend to under or overdo it with my spreads…
i really don’t measure… i’d guess around 1.5 tbsp. of each?
I have never heard of red velvet pound cake before! Genius!
I love the paw print! Can you share where you purchased it? My mother-in-law would love something like that!
bed bath & beyond… total impulse buy!
OMG I totally almost bought that this weekend too!! So funny 🙂
I’m going to get that paw print ornament — I love it! I wonder if it will work on my kitties too…hmmm 😉
haha where in the world did you buy at ppb? i wonder if i could order it online. sounds like heaven to me. ENTER google! hah
That ornament is adorable! I wonder how Sadie will like making her paw print!
Awe a homemade paw print ornament…that’s too funny.
aw, such a cute ornament!
I should get that for my cat 😀
hey julie!
so are you a smooth or crunchy pb kinda gal??
=)
i don’t discriminate. (but, if forced to choose, i’d pick crunchy.)
😉
You should try Valencia’s Crunchy Peanut Butter w/Flaxseed. Gives you an extra crunch for crunch lovers like me 😉
Find it at Trader Joes!
i totally need to get that paw print ornament!
I tried Red Velvet Cake for the first time a few days ago. It was amazing – it even beat out “white” cake for the top spot [in my opinion!] 😀
Cake for breakfast- that’s my kind of meal! 🙂
I LOVE that you included cake in your breakfast- so PBF like 😉 Made me smile!
Thank you Julie for eating cake for breakfast. It always makes me feel guilty! I suffer from disordered eating and its so wonderful to know that I dont have to feel guilty about this! Because its normal!
Yum! That sandwich looks yummy!!!! As for the ornament, its adorable!!!! I have one with a recorded message from some family members.
RV cake for breakfast = YUM. That’s what I had for dinner last night 🙂
Aw, the pawprints ornament is adorable!! I don’t think I could have resisted that one either! I am expecting to take home my first fur baby in 4 weeks, and I can’t help myself from buying loads of chew toys for her!! I am exploding with excitement!
that ornament is great!
ooh I want one of those ornaments for my Lena! where did you find that?
best breakfast ever! i don’t think i’ve ever had red velvet cake though, i gotta get on that!
p.s. i ADORE your blog.
I bought the same ornament for my dog last year! She definitely did not enjoy putting her paw in it, but I’m so happy I’ll always have it. Don’t forget to write her name and the year in the wet plaster! 🙂
Ahhh, I want to get that ornament!! Super cute! 🙂
Oh my goodness, I’ve had that Pumpkin Butter before from WS and I think it was the best I’ve ever had. Well worth the $10!
I love that you had cake for breakfast. For some reason I just never even think to eat baked goods in the morning- I guess it’s just habit!! Looks tasty though 🙂
I have never eaten or had, red velvet cake. Everyone raves about it! I’m excited to try it. Yummeh.
I love the paw print ornament! Let’s do it!
ps I went on a hike with my friend Max and his dog today, and I couldn’t help but remember how funny Sadie was on our hike together in Orlando. We played the hide and seek game with his dog too haa.
Oh. My. Goodness. I have GOT to get one of those pawprint ornaments for my new pup, Happy!!! Bed Bath & Beyond you say? I am going as soon as I get a free afternoon to pick one up! Psh, not like I’m obsessed with my dog or anything… ha!
I will be going to BB&B tomorrow and getting one of those!! My Squashington better get ready!!
Red velvet?? Pound cake?? Way to combine two of my fav cakes!
