Just agree, please. Don’t take this away from me! 😉
I was quite a fan of this little creation and was surprised at just how filling the meal turned out to be.
In the mix:
- 1 banana, sliced lengthwise
- Chobani vanilla Greek yogurt
- Freshly sliced strawberries
- Sweet potato puffs cereal
- Chia seeds
I already have a bazillion different ideas about combinations to try to create various breakfast banana splits. I’m thinkin’ candied nuts, pumpkin, cottage cheese, oats… the possibilities are endless. Aren’t you pumped!? 😀
Workout
I enjoyed my breakfast after an early morning workout and a walk around the lake with Sadie.
My workout today included a BodyPump class (holy squat track!), followed by 20 minutes of light cardio on the elliptical. I spent my time on the elliptical watching recaps of the Academy Awards since I only watched some of the pre-show last night just to get a glimpse of the pretty dresses.
My favorites dresses included those worn by Mila Kunis:
Scarlett Johansson:
And Halle Berry:
I thought all of their dresses looked feminine and gorgeous, especially Mila Kunis’ gown. So, so whimsical and pretty.
Question of the Morning
- Did you watch the Academy Awards? Who do you think was the “best dressed” of the evening?
Oh My god, that looksso delicious! Looks naughty, but its so good for you! I agree that Mila Kunis had the prettiest dress. It looked effortless too, which I think is a huge part of the appeal of her look. Thanks for writing such a wonderful blog…I love peanut butter fingers!!!
I thought Jennifer Hudson, Mandy Moore, Michelle Williams’ HAIR, and Mila Kunis were my favorites of the evening. Oh and I thought the girl from True Grit looked stunning.
OMG – that “banana split” looks awesome! I know what I am having for breakfast tomorrow. 🙂
That does look like a yummy banana split. 😉
I loved Mila Kunis and Gweyneth Paltrow!
PS I need your address so I can get to the P.O.!
Something about Scarlett’s dress didn’t quite work for me…
Loved Mila’s, though!
I don’t watch award shows. Except for sometimes the MTV ones, because something outrageous usually happens. All of the other ones area really dull to me. And I really have no care for fashion whatsoever. Which is funny because I love your fashion page! Seeing a real woman putting things together is fun!
I think it’s the really expensive dresses and celebrity factor that makes me not care. Besides the fact that I always find 90% of their dresses ugly. I’m just not a fan of “high” fashion apparently!
I thought Natalie Portman looked stunning as always.
That banana split looks fantastic! I’m thinkin’ my cereal of choice will be peanut butter puffins…I love the combo of PB &banana! 🙂
Anne Hathaway! Her voice rocked and Rachel Zoe dressed her so well. That dress at the beginning?! Gorgeous!
P.S. Can’t wait to try my own version of that split!
We have the same taste! I think Mila’s dress was fab, Scarlett came a close second. Your banana split breakfast looks yum – what a fun looking breakfast!
Your breakfast is most definitely a banana split. No question.
As for dresses, I agree with you totally but really liked Cate Blanchett’s the best! I just loved the risky architectural lines!
Mila and Scarlett’s were my favs too! I really wish they took the focus off only the women, then maybe guys would spice it up a little. I’m not a fan of tuxes, weird I know, so it would be nice to see something different for a change.
Girl that definitely looks like a banana split to me! I loved Mila’s dress. It was so light and gorgeous in that lavender color.
anne hathaway, mila kunis, natalie portman & hailee steinfeld were all stunners to me! i wish i could wear gorgeous gowns like that!
happy monday!
I always watch the Oscars, but I though Franco and Hathaway were a bit dull (silly ABC trying to get people my age watching, lol!). I thought Mila Kunis looked great, but my favorite was Hailee Steinfeld of True Grit. She’s adorable and age appropriate, which is pretty rare anymore 🙂
And your banana split looks de-lish!
I made a banana split-ish type dish with Chobani too! (accidentally) I put some homemade granola and banana slices in a cup of Vanilla Chobani and it tasted just as good as a banana split to me!
I loved Gwyneth Paltrow – I’ve had a slight girl crush on her since her appearance on Glee (even though she’s always been awesome – that just solidified it).
Banana split breakfast!! YAY!! Can’t wait to see more amazing combos you come up with! I also loved Mila’s dress, gorg!!
Reese Witherspoon without a doubt!
I loved Mila in purple too — what an amazing dress!
i loved mila’s dress! and scar jo, and anne hathaway’s dress w/all that beaded fringe.
i also loved the dress mandy moore wore when she sang.
Banana split breakfast looks delish! 🙂
I thought Mila’s dress was gorgeous, and Jennifer Hudson looked great too. I think my fave was Amy Adams – the dark blue looked amazing with her red hair. I wish she’d won for best supporting actress!
Umm…LOVED Mila (she was hands down my favorite) and I was obsessing over Kate Blanchett’s dress. So different from anything I’ve ever seen on the red carpet but still gorgeous…she rocked it too – that hair was spot on. I’m not normally a lilac kind of person either -wierd. I loved Gwenyth too…that was incredible.
Mila’s was definitely my favorite. No contest. The color is gorgeous and I love that she kept the accessories super simple. No need for a ton of bling!
That looks delicious… Finally picked up some chia seeds over the weekend, going to have to try this.
My favorite was the dress Gwyneth Paltrow wore on the red carpet…the silver number!!!
that “sundae” looks sooo good. complete with sprinkles! reminds me of when i worked at baskin robbins
Oh my gosh, now you’ve got MY head whirring with banana split ideas! I’m thinking some pineapple Chobani would fit in just perfect!
I LOVE Halle Berry’s dress! Wow!
I agree with what a lot of people have been saying! Reese’s hair was gorgeous, and Natalie looked fantastic as well! Loved Mila Kunis’ dress, too
Just wanted to let you know that PBF has officially gone global- I introduced a friend here in Germany to your amazingly addicting blog & she is hooked. The winning combo of Sadie, you, & yummy recipes has us all hooked 🙂
That’s awesome!! 🙂
I love love love Mila’s dress! It would be a beautiful wedding dress if it were ivory!
