I’m ready for March because I feel like March marks the beginning of spring and warmer weather. Woo! That’s not to say February isn’t a good month in its own right.
Some fun things that happened last month on PBF:
- Ryan and I celebrated our 7-year dating anniversary
- Super fun and super sweaty Blogger Boot Camp
- Hot date for Valentine’s Day
February recipe highlights included:
And some fun February workout posts:
- 30-minute treadmill interval workout
- Treadmill interval workout for all fitness levels
- 30-minute hilly treadmill workout
- Elliptical interval workout
- Total-body weights
But enough with February fun, let’s move onto March!
March arrived in Central Florida with a wet start.
The rain held off as I walked to the gym for a workout but really picked up as I was leaving.
Workout
While at the gym, I completed 50 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. My friend Merri joined me for the last 20 minutes or so which made the time fly by! I wasn’t ready to be done talking with Merri when my workout was over, but I had to head home to walk the dog. Fortunately Merri and I have dinner plans with our friend Laurel and our respective guys on Friday, so I’ll get to see her again soon!
After walking home in the rain, I knew my typical walk with Sadie was out of the question. I suited her up in her rain jacket and took her on a quick walk around the block.
Unfortunately the rain really picked up about a mile into our walk and we got caught in a down pour. We waited under a tree for a bit, but the rain didn’t let up too much, so we sprinted home. My shoes were soaked and poor Sadie was dripping.
I made sure to take ample time to towel her off, which made her quite the happy camper.
Breakfast
I tossed around several breakfast ideas before eventually recognizing my craving for a good ol’ breakfast bagelwich.
Today’s bagelwich included the last of my smoked salmon, vegetable cream cheese and a banana.
So, so delicious!
I think someone was jealous…
Off to work! Happy first day of March!
I love that Sadie’s Ass Grass is a highlight of the month. That’s more like a highlight of her life. Happy March- spring is so soon! Wheeeee!!
Is it odd that when you write Sadie captions I read them in my head in a different voice? Sadie has her own blog voice in my mind 🙂
lol I love that!
haha she has her own voice in my mind, too. 🙂 i wonder if our voices sound similar!
I DO THAT TOO!!!!! Haaa!
me too!! dogs certainly do have their own evolving (imaginary) voices 🙂
my mom, brother and I constantly give our Cavalier King Charles Cady Rose a “voice” but i’m always mortified when they use it in front of other people!
Oh my gosh. Sadie pictures make my morning! Keep em coming!
And sometimes, it is a little fun to get stuck in a downpour 🙂
What a great recap of your month. That’s one of the nice things about having a blog, it keeps track of your life! Happy March!
The Sadie pictures kill me – she is so stinkin’ cute!! I love her rain coat!
AHAH GIMME DA FEESH!
that salmon is SO BRIGHT- ive never seen such a rich color.. i know that sounds lame
anywho.. love the recap! your workouts are ALWAYS THE BEST! i save them all!
Too darn cute for words. Sadie is adorbs.
Haha! I love the last picture of Sadie! I love seeing pictures of her! She is too cute! 🙂
Hard to believe March is already here! Bring on the SPRING!
haahah. oh, gosh. the rain KILLS Chloe, too!
so much so that I was left to clean up not one, not two, but THREE piles of poopies in the house last night/this morning.
I need a puppy-poopy intervention in my house.
Haha Rush totally has that look down…”But, but, but there’s snow outside Moooooom!” followed by a swift push out the door 🙂
I really need to find those Alternative Bagels! I like bagel thins, but they’re a little too thin. Need the bagel chew factor!
Love the recap and Sadie’s raincoat. And yes “ass grass” as a highlight 🙂
Spring is finally around the corner! And Sadie looks so cute in her raincoat!
Oh Sadie… how I love her. 😉
Sadie is adorable!!! =D
Happy first day of March!
Mmmmmm your bagelwich sounds amazing!
Your bagelwiches make me so jealous. They always look so good!
Hahaha sadie is too adorable!
oh sadie! so cute 🙂
It’s so funny seeing you guys in those clothes on Valentine’s Day. Oh, Florida. I’m pretty sure we wore snow suits, if I’m remembering correctly. 😉
Hahaha, I love when you snap pictures of Sadie barking, they are so funny! Such a cutie-pie. I am way jealous, Julie — your smoked salmon has the most beautiful color! Is it from a specialty shop or the farmer’s market or something?
it’s from the whole foods seafood section! they package it in-store and it’s delicious!
I still can’t believe Sadie likes being toweled off. I’ve never known a dog who didn’t flip out over such a thing. So cute.
Such a cute picture of Sadie in her rain jacket! 🙂
Sadie has the best expressions! Adorable!
I love your pictures of Sadie! Every time I see them I want to get a dog just like her but I don’t think I could handle her. 😀
It doesnt rain much here, but it always seems to happen when im on a run and far away from my house! Love the breakfast sandwich!
Ahhhhh I LOVE that lost picture of Sadie!!!! I can just hear her howling…. Happy does the same thing it seems!
And man oh man, I have been caught in the rain like that, too!! It’s like i set myself up for it, though… I go out knowing it’s raining… just never expect it to turn into a torrential DOWNPOUR!!!
Hey Julie! I was just wondering what kind of cream cheese your always using? It sounds so good! & is it reduced fat or just plain old cream cheese? I realize I always shy away from using regular cream cheese because of its high fat/calorie content…but its not all that bad right? haha thanks!
Sadie’s face describes how I feel in the morning! 🙂
LOL … your captions underneath your pictures literally make me laugh so hard! Keep em coming …. 🙂
Will someone please tell me how to make time STOP moving so quickly! I can’t believe it is March 1st…how did this happe?! Oh well…I think I am just in denial about this year because in April 12th I turn 30…I am currently working on a way to make it stay April 11th forever! haha!
Your smoked salmon is making me SO hungry for lunch! And I love the coat you have on in the first photo. You look lovely! 🙂
i love that picture of you and Ryan! you look tall & beautiful…like a model! :]
happy march! we had our super wet day yesterday. break out those Hunter boots and umbrellas! gotta love ’em!
You always have the best pictures of Sadie – makes me laugh all the time!
I’m so jealous you’re all going to dinner on Friday!! I wish I lived closer. 🙁
So this may be my own visual perceptual issue, but in the picture and you and Ryan it looks like you photoshopped the two of you in. Something about how your feet don’t look grounded…
Anyways….
haha we’re just standing in the middle of our driveway (using the self-timer). i have no photoshop skills at all (i crop photos in microsoft paint), so rest assured that we were really in our driveway. 🙂
Julie did you know that today is National Peanut Butter day? http://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/March/pbloversday.htm
It’s no joke!
Sorry, it’s National Peanut Butter LOVER’S day!
Woo March!! I love the feeling of spring coming and I guess those April showers came early? ha It sucks to be stuck in a downpour when you’re unprepared, but on days when I’m in the mood, I love jumping in puddles or just taking a calm walk in warm rain!
That picture of Sadie howling, together with that “Gimme the feesh” caption, just made me laugh out loud!
March really sneaks up on you.
You are so productive in the morning! What time do you get up to fit in such a good workout, walk Sadie, and have time to get ready and eat?
you may see my morning routine here: https://www.pbfingers.com/2010/04/30/streamlining-your-morning-routine/
Happy Peanut Butter Lover’s Day Julie!
I love that you put your workouts first-before work-don’t you think it is way more effective? Plus I love waking up in the morning to a great workout! you sure did have a great February 🙂
I seriously can’t believe it’s March either! I am in even more denial because I am having a baby April 8th….and I keep feeling like I have plenty of time to accomplish things before this little one comes…but time is flying — yikes!!
Oh that sweet puppy dog face is just too much! How in the world do you ever resist her?
I have a sneaking suspicion that Sadie and my bouncy boxer would get along like peas and carrots.
Wait what…..it’s like 70 in Orlando ?! How can u be cold!!!!!!!!!
