Egg patties.
That was the “main course” at the hotel’s breakfast buffets. I’m pretty sure the words egg and patty should never be used together.
Clearly I opted out of the main meal and made myself a bowl of peanut butter oats instead.
I love peanut butter oatmeal fills me up for hours!
I also had about half of a Belgian waffle, topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon and syrup.
I ate my breakfast while sipping on a hot mug of pomegranate green tea.
Rising Above the Negativity Survey
As you may already know, in two weeks I will be attending the Healthy Living Summit in Philadelphia and will be speaking with three fellow bloggers – the wonderful Heather, Brittany and Courtney – all about Rising Above Negativity.
Our presentation will discuss the darker side of blogging: Negative comments, mean-spirited emails, snarky tweets and media backlash.
We would love to have some statistical information collected from fellow bloggers to use in our presentation, so if you’re a blogger and wouldn’t mind taking this brief 10-question anonymous survey (it’s REALLY easy!), we would all be very, very grateful.
Here’s a link to the survey:
Again, THANK YOU for your participation! We all really appreciate it and can’t wait to use the results in a bangin’ presentation. Oh, boooy, now the pressure is ON!

I”ve microwaved eggwhites before and they end up looking like round patties…but I only eat them when I’VE made them. I don’t trust egg patty things from anywhere else. Gah.
Taking the survey!

Peanut butter oatmeal seriously is the best when it comes to holding you over. I love it.
Just took the survey – hope it helps! Such a great topic to discuss 🙂
Sara @ Nourish and Flourish says
I believe I used to be a fan of egg patties in the form of the infamous Egg McMuffin sandwich. Whenever my family would take a road trip, we’d get the green light to “indulge” in a Micky D’s morning meal. I shiver thinking about what I was putting into my body!
Peanut butter oatmeal is a much better way to start the day. 🙂 I’m off to take the survey…Looking forward to hearing you speak in two weeks!
Brittany says
Unfortunately I can’t help you out with the survey because I don’t have a blog…but I can’t believe anyone would write you mean comments/emails! Seriously, you come across on your blog as such a sweet and sensible person, where would meanies even pull their material from?
Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers says
you’d be surprised. there are people out there whose goal in life seems to be to tear others down. 🙁
Sarah-Mae @ Eat, Run, Knit says

Did the survey! 😀
What in the world is an egg patty?
wellblessherheart.wordpress.com says
I have a confession…I make egg patties. haha. I’m not sure if that’s what was on the menu at your hotel, but I crack two eggs into my pyrex measuring cup, add cheese in the center and then microwave them for a minute and a half. When you slide it onto a plate, it looks kinda’ like a supersized version of what you’d get on an egg mcmuffin. Except with more awesome.
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
Oh cool!
I will do it 🙂 Love your b-fast!! And good luck with the speaking assignment–can’t wait to hear about it!

fittingbackin says
DONE – I hope the presentation goes well – I know it will!
Margo @ peanut butter trees says
I love how peanut butter oats fill me up too! So good.
Melissa @ Will Work for Veggies says
Do you think you’ll be able to post a transcript of your speech at the HLS? It would be really interesting to read what the 4 of you have to say on negative comments! I’m just a new blogger, but from what I’ve read on other blogs, some people can be really cruel. Those types of comments are very unnecessary in the blogger community, I think!
peanutbutterfingers says
i definitely hope to post a recap afterwards!
jane says
Julie, you are a natural and you will do an amazing job speaking at the conference. You wouldn’t have been asked to participate if they didn’t have faith in you.
Just remember that you are awesome and that you always achieve anything you set your mind to 🙂
Holly @ Pink Runner says
Took the survey and can’t wait to meet you at HLS!!!!!
