Before we headed out to dinner, my sister, Ryan and I took Sadie to the dog park for a never-ending game of fetch.
I wore my new compression sleeves to the dog park and felt awfully hardcore. I’m getting nervous for tomorrow’s race!
Dog parks are such happy places!
Once Sadie’s ball got stolen by another dog (it wasn’t really her ball – we found it at the park), we figured it was time to go and headed home to change before dinner.
Dinner
Dinner tonight took us to downtown St. Pete to Bella Brava, a nice Italian restaurant.
We didn’t have a reservation, so when we arrived we put in our names and wandered in and out of a couple of nearby shops until a table was ready.
I was feeling so indecisive this evening and didn’t want to order anything too heavy that might sit like a rock in my stomach before tomorrow’s race. I eventually opted for a cobb salad and shared some of Ryan’s pizza.
My salad was good, but I was hoping it would be a little more generous with the toppings.
Fortunately Ryan’s pizza was delicious and my sister also shared her gnocchi with me.
The bolognese sauce on the gnocchi was fantastic. I would’ve been happy just eating a bowl of that stuff!
When we arrived home from dinner, I printed off a course map for tomorrow’s race and organized my race day outfit. Half marathon in the morning!!!
I’m getting antsy!
P.S. The Fashion page was updated tonight.
Good luck tomorrow!! I’m sure you’ll do great! 🙂
Awww, Sadie looks just so darn happy! So adorable, as always. Good luck with the race Julie! I could never imagine doing a half marathon, so i’m extra impressed 🙂
Good luck tomorrow Julie!
Your family (and your food) is so good looking. And I already said this on your fashion post, but your mom is a hot tamale!
I love dog parks and little trips that involve Zeke, like hiking or camping trips. We really feel like a family now that we’re married AND have a dog!
My family takes foreverrrr to choose. We are usually like “I don’t mind, what do you want?” x 10923 times. Have an awesome race tomorrow!!
Get it girl!
Good luck in your race tomorrow! I just ran in my first 5K race today–big step for me- and it was so much fun! 🙂
Good luck! And woah, your mom is super hot! 😀
My family always takes forever to decide when it comes to food and restaurants- it’s become an ongoing joke, actually. It looks like you guys definitely decided on a good place, though!
And Sadie is beyond precious. Dog parks are so much fun. 🙂
Good luck at your race! Get a good nights sleeeep 🙂 I would be taking advantage of a race and be scarfing down a whole pizza myself lol.
I love Francesca’s – it’s one of my favorites, cute dress 🙂 I just might have to go there…
Good luck tomorrow! I ran the Women’s 1/2 in Nashville in Sept and was so impressed with the organization and everything, it was a great race!
Good luck tomorrow on your half!! You’re going to rock the race 🙂
LOVE your dinner outfit – super cute little mama!
P.S. You’re making me want hot pink compression socks. NOW.

My family takes FOREVER to decide as well. If plans aren’t made ahead of time, we’re lucky to eat before nine! Haha.
Good luck at the race!!:)
Your mom looks so beautiful! Im always in awe of moms/ older women who look like they just have it together. That sounds a bit creepy, but I just hope when I’m old I’ll still look that good and be as successful and happy.
I love your neon pink compression socks! Good luck on the race!

I love the picture of you, your parents and sister, and the one with Ryan. Cute! 🙂
Hope you had a great race! I think I noticed what other readers noticed, your mom looks really pretty in the family pic (not that she doesn’t normally look pretty.. maybe it’s a combo of her outfit/hair)! Anyhow, great picture of all you guys! 🙂
GOOD luck!!
My family takes forever to decide too….so i just decide for them. Hah.
Hope the race went well! I saw your picture on facebook, but it sounded like you were exhausted … I hope it went OK!! 🙂
I saw a restaraunt once that was named “I don’t care”. LOL That’s what always happens when we have to decide. “What do you want to eat”….”I don’t care”.
OMG, i want a dog so badly! i recently just moved into an apartment with my boyfriend, and although we can’t afford a dog right now, the idea is so nice! my dog at home (i moved from vancouver island to vancouver) just recently passed away, so i’m feeling the dog blues 🙁
happy to hear about your marathon update via facebook & twitter. you rock! 🙂
i’m so sorry for the loss of your dog. 🙁 they really are part of the family. i hope another dog is in your future when the time is right.
ha! my family takes FOREVER to decide where to eat too – it’s excruciating! glad we’re not the only ones 🙂
Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out!
