Today started out with some fantastic news!
After I was done training my first client of the day, we took her measurements. She said all of her workout pants are baggy now, so I suggested we take her measurements to compare them to the measurements we took during her fitness assessment. I was so incredibly happy to tell her that she lost inches everywhere (waist, hips, thighs, biceps, and chest)! It was the best feeling and I am so happy to see her making serious progress and prioritizing her health. Before personal training, I never had a job where I worked so closely with someone one-on-one and it is so rewarding.
Lunch
During my shift, I took a quick break to eat a burrito from Chipotle that a coworker picked up for lunch in the break room.
A burrito the size of a baby!
I made it about three quarters of the way through before wrapping the rest up for later. (And I finally took a food picture in the break room! Okay, so I snapped the pic when no one was around, but I’m beginning to feel a little less awkward.)
On my way home from work, I ran a few errands. I stopped by Hobby Lobby to pick up a bunch of stuff for my latest craft project. It’s not nearly as in depth as my dad’s 60th birthday present, but I’ll be sure to share the final product with you guys when it’s done. I’m excited to get started!
Once I made it home, I dug into a cup of Greek yogurt and sat down to respond to some emails.
It’s almost the 4th of July!
Sadie is psyched!
Celebratory burrito 🙂 Well done, you must feel awesome having helped her to make such an achievement!
Awe that’s so great that one of your clients is having major success! That must feel pretty darn amazing when that happens.
And that burrito looks like the perfect thing to celebrate with;)
Can’t wait to see your new craft.
Congrats to your client! That’s so exciting and great to see actual results so quickly too! That Chipotle burrito looks delicious. I make it about 2/3rds the way too and it always makes for great leftovers. 🙂
Chipotle’s burritos are HUGE…but oh, so good!! 🙂
Nothing better than helping people get healthier/stronger! And getting to see their hard work pay off 🙂
SO exciting!
Yummmmm burrito!
It is SO rewarding when you have a job which shows you results of your hard work. I did a pre- and post- quiz for my student teaching experience and most of my students went from getting 0 correct to all of them correct! It just makes you feel awesome to see someone improve because you helped them!
PS. Chipotle makes the biggest burritos I’ve ever seen in my life. I always feel like I’m lugging around a small child when I get one!
The most exciting part of the process of getting healthy after being so healthy is to see the tangible results! Congrats Julie on your and your clients success 🙂
What an exciting day for your client and you as well! Helping people can truly be rewarding!
Helping people reach their goals is seriously one of the best feelings in the world, especially when it helps them feel healthier and more confident 🙂
I love Hobby Lobby. Best store ever, but so dangerous 🙂
3/4 of a Chipotle burrito is usually the amount I can manage in one sitting. My boyfriend though? He orders a quesa-rito. It’s a burrito with a quesadilla for a wrapper! So it’s TWO tortillas, tons of melted cheese, all blanketing beef, cheese, and rice. Crazy!!
I love chipotle! We had chipotle at our wedding. It was fantastic.
Chipotle burritos are so good! Where we moved to, we don’t have a chipotle near us. Ugh!! So upsetting. How great is it when you see your clients getting to their goals?!!
What’s in those burritos? I’ve never seen (no Chipolte here). Do you co-workers or boss know about your blog ?
Pork, brown rice, beans, salsa and cheese. And most of the trainers and my boss know about my blog, but a lot of people work at my gym and use the breakroom who I don’t think know. 🙂
Measurements are always the best way for me to see progress too- I put on muscle pretty quickly, my fat loss and muscle growth sometimes are even, but photos and measurements tell the real story of my changes.
haha can’t ever go wrong with massive burritos!
Do your coworkers know about your blog?
Congrats to your client! I’ve always wanted to get a CPT! My graduate program actually followed the NASM book. I should get on that!
Wow, I feel excited for you AND your client! That’s a pretty cool and rewarding accomplishment. I get excited at the mere fact that my friends want to learn workouts from me, and if they told me they saw results in their health or weight loss that would make me ecstatic! 😀 Great job, and….chipotle burritos are huge, so I always go for the salad bowl 😛
Congrats to you and your client! It really is so rewarding to help people reach their health and fitness goals! 😉 I love chipotle burritoes. They really are the size of a small baby….I can never finish a whole one either but they are to die for!
That is so exciting about your client’s success!!! I wish we had a Chipotle here; I always hear such good things about it.
Way to go PBF! Rewarding feelings are the best, especially when it affects not only you, but someone else!
Curious question: do you tell your other work about your blog? Like in the past when you did PR, or even the freelance work you do for other places? Or if you’re taking a bunch of pictures at a restaurant or wherever and the workers ask why?
I just know its nice to have an outlet, and a different group of “friends” (us!) so I was wondering if you share this side of your life with others! Random, but I’ve been curious! =)
That is awesome about your client’s weight loss! I hope I am able to do the same for someone else in the future that is just as rewarding!
Side note on Chipotle: Your burrito reminds of my husband’s horrible experience at Chipotle last week. We were eating there on Friday and he bit into something hard that was in the burrito and it actually chipped his tooth! I felt so bad because he had to wait until Monday to get it fixed because it was the weekend. He says he doesn’t want to ever go back but I have a feeling that won’t last very long 🙂
That burrito looks delicious!! It has been too long since I’ve had Mexican food and now I want to have it ASAP 🙂
Congrats on your client!!!! I completely agree, it is such an amazing feeling to work with someone individually & transform their life 🙂 – I had Chipotle for the first time a few months ago & loved it!!!! It provided two delicious meals for me (wow HUGE burritos!)
it’s all about the way she feels in her body, and obviously she feels good! Awesome job!! Love the burrito baby, those things are hard to finish. LOL!
How does Sadie deal with the fireworks? I am dog sitting my families animals and I am sure they will go loko!
Aww Sadie looks so excited!! That burrito looks yummy!!
Getting to watch someone change from beginning to end must be a great feeling. Congrats, and congrats to your client sounds like awesome progress!
The worst part about living in Savannah is we currently don’t have a Chipotle. One is supposed to open soon but it has been a long 14 months without one!
Kudos to you on finishing that much of a Chipotle burrito (and for you and your client’s success)! I can barely finish half… and that’s only when I am completely famished 😛
Chipotle = Heaven. I’m 99.9% certain of that! Love how rewarding your job is..that would be so fun 🙂
Congrats to your client! I miss burritos. Sigh.
