This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!

I would do the nano speeds and probably spend hours coming up with different color combos!

I would order the Nano 3.0 – it’s time for a new pair of running shoes. I like the pink mesh with the violet base overlay and black toe overlay. I’d see about having “Think Big”, “Be the Change” or “It’s the journey” personalized on the shoe.

I would pick the Reebok Nano Speed – agree with you, they are great! I would make them orange, green and white – orange is my favorite color, and I think those colors look awesome and fun together! 🙂 I don’t know if I would write anything on them – I have several “mantras”, so maybe one would win over the other…
Thanks for the give away! 🙂
Shelley says
I would pick the Reebok Nano Speed, and definitely make them blue and grey. I have the 3.0s and would love the speeds!
Cornelia says
The coral colours are great… anything bright!
Heather K says
I would love to try the nano speeds! I have heard so many great things about them. I have the nano 2’s and can imagine the speeds are just as great. I think I would do crazy colors, almost rainbow. I love the crazy colored shoes. If I put a name on them, they would probably just say Heath since that is what everyone calls them. Thanks for this opportunity. (I am not sure if my other comment went through. I did it on my phone, but my phone has been acting weird so forgive me if there are two Posts.)

I would customize a pair of shoes that I could cross-train in. I typically wear worn-out running shoes and often feel a bit unstable on my lateral movements!
Arelis says
The Nanno speed in a combination of two gorgeous neon colors (probably blue, pink and purple)…so much fun just like your workouts need to be….and definitely I would have something like “training mode” or “training beast” 🙂 like I really mean it 😉
Arelis says
Ooopsss!! I meant three colors 😀
Amy Rock says
I think I would pick the Nano Speeds and I love all the bright neon colors but I also love purple. So maybe purple and hot pink? As far as personalizing goes I’m not sure I’d put anything on them? Really, I don’t like clothing with writing but it’s such a small spot that maybe I’d change my mind. That’s boring! I know. But if I win, I’ll make an effort to not be boring!

What a fun giveaway 🙂
I love the Reebok crossfit 2.0 (the pink design is so awesome!) I’d probably use pink and maybe some green or purple – I think it’s fun to have bold, bright colors. It motivates me to run faster and work out harder! I would definitely write “Boston Strong” or “617” (Boston’s area code) because as a runner from Boston, I’m so proud of the citizens of our city for how they came together in the face of horrible tragedy this year. We’ve come a long way and I’m prouder and prouder to call this place home. <3

I LOVE my realflex scream ones, so definitely those. That website is SO much fun, so I designed myself a pair of purple & blue ones! I’m not sold on customizing my shoes with writing, but, I’d still be entirely happy to have some bright & colorful ones.

i would use orange, purple, and white on my shoes for my favorite team (& college)–CLEMSON! GO TIGERS! 🙂

Wow! I am so excited for this giveaway! Thank you soooo much for this opportunity to win a pair of these awesome Reebok shoes! I’m praying for some favor in this giveaway. This giveaway couldn’t have come at a better time. You know you need new sneakers when you’ve got holes in your shoes and grass and dirt is getting stuck in the creases. 😉
I’ve never heard of the nano Reebok sneakers, but I love how they look! I would love to win the nano speeds. I would use some gray and pink colors in my customized shoes, and I would put a Bible verse on the back. I would most likely use the verse found in Philippians 4:13.
Thank you soooo, soooo much for this giveaway. I am so excited!!! May God bless you exceedingly and abundantly beyond all you could ask or think! Have a wonderful night!
Love,
Mariah

I would do the ZigLite Run shoes with some purple and silver incorporated into the design. If I were to personalize the shoes, I would probably put something like, “13.1 and counting” on them, as I’m hoping to start training for my first marathon in the spring. :0)
Madeline says
I would design them with some turquoise or teal (my fave colors) and a little gray and white. I would also put “MAD” on the back because it’s my nickname (short for Madeline) and would remind me to be a beast during my workouts! 🙂
Anna says
I would choose the cross fit shoe, and would play around with blues and purples. On the back I would put Dreamer, because it is my dreams that keep me striving for success in all I do.
