Collection of Boot Camp Workouts

December 10, 2013 by Julie 46 Comments

If you’ve been reading my blog for more than a week, you’ve likely picked up on the fact that boot camp and functional workouts are my absolute favorite. I love the way they jump from one exercise to the next, leaving me ridiculously sweaty and breathless in no time at all. Many boot camp workouts can be done with little to no equipment or the most basic exercise equipment like dumbbells and bands, making them ideal for at-home workouts.

I’ve shared more than a few boot camp workouts on the blog and thought a post with a bunch of them in one place might be a good resource for those of you who want to be able to find them easily in the future. (I’ll probably do a follow-up post with some more workouts since I’ve shared so many!)

Giant Collection of BOOT CAMP WORKOUTS!

Here are a few of my favorite boot camp workouts that have popped up on PBF in the past! (If any of the exercises are unfamiliar to you, click the link above the workout to visit the original blog post that featured the workout where you may find links to demonstrations of some of the exercises.)

Some great workouts there! Looking through the list I think with any of them I’d be a hot sweaty mess by the end.

I particularly like the 6×6 workout and the hotel room workout. My boyfriend and I went to Hawaii earlier this year and one of the hotels we stayed at had no gym both of these workouts would have been perfect to do there.

The thing I love about boot camp workouts is that anything goes. . . and you switch it up frequently so time flies and you never get bored – just super sweaty!! 🙂

I put the Sweat it out Bootcamp into my app Seconds Pro and each spot where you put run, I sprint from one end of my living room to the other for the 30 seconds. My dogs think I’m crazy, but now they just lay on the couch and watch me run around. Awesome workout! I did add in one last set of leg lifts, donkey kicks and jack knifes on the ball. I think it’s my fave workout!

These workouts all look so great! I just have one question/ request. All of your workouts have TONS of lunges or squats in them. I had knee surgery about 5 months ago and was told that I have a good amount of arthritis in my knees (at 39! I was a gymnast!). As a result, I was told no more lunges or squats. Can you suggest workouts or circuits without these? I’m frustrated trying to get my workouts done!

I haven’t tried bootcamp workouts, yet. I’m too scared. But looking at your list, bootcamp workouts look promising. And according to the comments, I think bootcamp exercises would be very exciting so I might as well try. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
