Good morning from Sadie!
That is the face of a dog who wants in on my breakfast.
Workout
After a wonderfully relaxing weekend where I didn’t get even half of the things I planned to accomplish done, I was back at it this morning with a 5 a.m. workout with Ryan. Hopefully today will be productive! A morning workout always sets my day in motion, so today’s workout is a good start on my plan to hop aboard the productivity train.
Today’s workout began with a brief warm up before I completed the following workout that centered around rowing:
It was a great workout that got my heart rate up. The kettlebell sumo high pulls were my favorite in a sick, challenging way.
Breakfast
Once we made it home, I got to work in the kitchen and prepared an egg white and oatmeal protein pancake with a handful of sliver almonds added for some healthy fats.
Plus a banana on the side!
I don’t have to head into the gym to work until later this afternoon, so this morning I am planning to catch up on some blog work, take my laptop in for repair (it won’t turn on – bad sign!) and swing by the post office. I need to send two packages and also want to drop off my Stitch Fix returns. I am keeping two of the five items from my latest fix, including an adorable black vegan leather crossbody purse and a chunky cardigan.
(I couldn’t find exact links to either item online – the crossbody is made by Emperia and the cardigan is Mysteree – but here are some similar styles: Knit cardigan wrap, Nine West striped cardigan, ASOS front wrap cardigan, Aztec print wrap cardigan, Steve Madden black fringe crossbody)
See you after lunch!
Have a great Monday!
Mornings you post your breakfast after a workout I always wonder if Ryan is eating the same thing or if he has this ginormus bowl of some sugary kids cereal (what my husband eats). Ever thought of doing a day in the life of Ryan blog?
We eat the same thing probably 50 percent of the time. He’s a big fan of eggs, Greek yogurt and protein smoothies for breakfast. 🙂
A day in the life of Ryan blog sounds like a good idea!
Great workout! I might just have to do that…I’ve been trying to figure out what workout I want to do and too lazy to figure it out myself. Thanks for taking care of that for me! 😉
love that cardigan and the workout looks great, too! 🙂
I’m always so amazed you wake up so early to get to the gym when you don’t have to clock in for a job! I’m sure having Ryan there to motivate you helps, but still, props to you!! 🙂
love the purse!
Love that cardigan!! Very cute!
Love that workout! I may have to add in some of those squats!! Love that cardigan, super cute, and it looks super soft!!
Aww Sadie! I’m pretty sure I look like that in the morning too haha ;).
Love the items you’re keeping from your latest fix!
Have a GREAT day! 😀
woo hoo for a sucessful Stitch Fix box – I love that sweater – too cute!! Hope you are uber productive today. 🙂 happy monday!
Awesome workout 🙂 How long do your workouts usually last with Ryan in the morning? Love that crossbody purse. I just bought one and I love how easy it is and hands free! I always need hands for a million other things I need to bring inside, haha.
Enjoy your morning before work!
We are almost always in and out of the gym within an hour 🙂
Glad you were able to get back at it this morning! I am about to head back to the gym to get back into a routine! I’m ready to get back into my routine!
I love the idea of incorporating rowing into any workout. It really gets in some cardio and boosts your heart rate! Plus, I actually enjoy it a lot more than hopping on a treadmill or elliptical. Thanks for the workout!
Great Stitch Fix finds! That cardigan is adorable and I love the purse. I have been tempted to get on that Stitch Fix train here for awhile, but I think I better wait until we’re done with some of our home projects. 😉 haha!
Ohh I want that cardigan! Sadie is so cute. Punkin waits patiently for me to finish my Greek yogurt in the morning. Once I put the bowl down on the floor he springs and is all over licking up the leftover yogurt.
If I had a way to do the rows I would definitely try this workout. 🙂
Sometimes you need a lazy weekend to recharge. I love that pancake. Try it with some jam and almond butter. I swear it will change your life. I got notification thy my stichfix order shipped!! Im so excited!
Hope you love your stitch fix!! And yes, I love it topped with peanut or almond butter. So good! I’ll have to try topping it with jam, too!
Same thing happened to me with my laptop. Have you tried taking the battery out for a few minutes? I did that & blew out all of the dust from the fan & it’s been working like a champ again.
My next StitchFix is coming this week – can’t wait!
Love your row workout! I always forget about using the row machine even though it’s so fun.
What an adorable picture of Sadie! I wish Stitch Fix was shipping international, I look forward to the day!
This looks like an awesome workout! I had never really incorporated rowing into my workouts that much until this year. I love the idea of combining it with lower body strength exercises!
I have a similar workout called “Row, Row your Kettlebell” 🙂 I love mixing it up with rowing because I get bored sitting there for a long time, so the squats and kettlebell workouts help break it up!
I love that cardigan. StitchFix is great for finding unique pieces – at least in my experience! Here’s to a productive Monday!
Looks like an awesome workout!!! Can’t wait to try it! I’ve been slacking on my workouts lately.

I LOL’d at Sarah’s comment about Ryan eating sugary kids cereals. I’m sure that’s what Christian would eat! I swear I’m marrying a 5 year old 😉
That cardigan is adorable and I love that they sent you vegan leather!
Oh I’m so glad you started off your post with an adorable pic of Sadie today. 🙂 Our one year old shih-tzu passed away this weekend and we are just devastated. I’ve been cuddling everyone’s pups I can get my hands on & Sadie’s adorable face always cheers me up. Give her an extra big squeeze tonight from those of us who are missing ours. 🙂
LOVE that cardigan, I’m on the search now. Thank you for reminding me about the rowing machine, haven’t used it in forever and it would be a nice change.
Thanks for that workout, I have a rowing machine at home and I’ve been wanting a workout to spice it up. I think this will do the trick!
That cardy is super cute 😉
I love that sweater that you got in your Stitch Fix. I kind of want to try Stitch Fix out!
Oooh, great purse & cardigan!
Thank you for this workout! I just got into rowing a couple months ago and love finding ways to incorporate it into my workouts. 🙂
Sadie is so cute! Your breakfast looks delish by the way!
Hey Julie! Love the row workout! Since rowing is 80% lower body alone, I think it would be awesome to see you create one that has more of an upper body focus too! Maybe some push-ups or triceps dip in the mix, so you are truly getting that “full body workout”! Love the added kettle-bell sumo high pulls! They get me everytime!
Hey Julie! 5am seems crazy!! Do you make it to the gym by then? Ever think you’ll do a day in the life with your daily routine? I miss the book club btw!!
Love this workout, wish I had a rower!!
