Grab a cup of Greek yogurt and some fresh fruit and you’re good to go!
This breakfast came together in a flash and I loved every bite.
My body was craving fruit and a ripe banana and juicy peach fit the bill perfectly.
I also enjoyed a hot tumbler of Mighty Leaf Rainforest Mate tea that was fruity and spicy.
Dog Eye Boogers
Is is just me or do doggie eye boogers drive any of you guys crazy, too?
Do you see it?
I swear Sadie’s eyes fill with eye boogers constantly. I feel like I’m constantly wiping them away for her.
God bless my future children. I have a feeling I’ll be the mom constantly running up to them with a tissue in my hand saying “Blow.” After all, nobody likes a Mr. Sniffles. 😉

I thought my dog had something wrong with him because he’s had eye boogers popping up a lot lately too! Maybe it’s seasonal?? Hopefully!
Alicia says

Anne @thefitbridesmaid says
ALL.THE.TIME!
I swear I can hear her grumbling “Mom! Leave my eye boogers alone!” They just big the crap out of me.

lol, I always find eye boogers in my dog’s fur…he loves to eat them, too.
Bee Goes Bananas says
Have you and Sadie gotten to the point where you can wipe them away with your hand and wipe them off on your jeans?
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do that! Even when I have children.
peanutbutterfingers says
oh yes. we reached that point long ago. 🙂
Tammy says
I wipe my dog’s eye boogers away with my hand, but he eats them – wiping them on your jeans is gross ha ha
krista says
You will fit in with the other toddler moms, no worries! 😉 I carry kleenex on me at all times for that (the kid, not the dog eye boogies).
Megan @ Nati Girls Run says
Love the movie quote (and love How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days). And I AM that way with my kids. Trust me- they don’t like it!! But a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do, right?
peanutbutterfingers says
glad you caught it! it’s a favorite of mine & my sisters.

That’s so crazy! Just this morning I bent down to give our boxer a hug and he got eye boogers on my yoga pants! They’re so gross, and they seem to multiply like rabbits!
Julie says
I *love* how to lose a guy in ten days! So funny to see that quoted. : )
Lindsey @ Gingerbread Bagels says
My dog used to get some ALL the time! It drove me crazy. I miss him though 🙁
Emily says
I’m exactly the same…except not with a dog – with my boyfriend. God bless him. I’m constantly “picking” at him – fixing his collar, wiping food off his face…. He calls me a monkey since monkeys pick bugs off each other.
Laura says
I completely understand the obsession with dog eye boogers. With TWO dogs, I get to deal with double the boogers. You add my mom’s dog in the mix, and it’s just an endless cycle 🙂
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
hahaha…i have a friend who said that in every relationship there is a “picker”…the person who takes care of eye boogers, snot, and the gross stuff that comes with kiddos. i’m totally that person with our dogs too…nate is so grossed out by eye boogers!
Rae says
I have a friend who wipes away her dog’s eye booger and then FEEDS it to him!!! EWWWW!!!!
Casey @ Chasing Casey says
Hey Julie! I have been a subscriber to your blog for a while now and it’s one of my absolute favorites! I read it everyday. I totally pitched your monthly date idea to my boyfriend and he loved the idea. I notice you do the Bodypump class alot and I’ve only heard of it through your blog, so I have no idea what it is. But! now my gym (all the way over here near San Francisco) is introducing the class this week! So no we will have it! I can’t wait to give it a try to see what you’ve been talking about. Oh and I totally get annoyed by animal eye boogers too! I think they’re gross, but have to clean them at the same time, so I totally take my dogs own ears and wipe them away with that 😉 hahaha
Courtney (Pancakes & Postcards) says
oh, dog eye boogers. always a good time.
Melissa says
Lol, my dogs too enjoy eating the eye boogers. When I wipe them off they sniff me to see what I did with it. Gross, but they enjoy them and it bugs me when they have them dripping from their eyes.
Lauren says
Hahaha, I HATE dog boogers!!! Mine gets them all the time. I swear as soon as I clean them out, another one appears. 🙂
Kandis says
With our 2 Vizsla’s, one definitely gets more boogers than the other. Every morning I clean them out but what I hate is when I miss them or he grows a new one and then shakes his head and now its on the wall somewhere. We’ve got all these tiny brown dots on our walls. That stuff is like cement!
Kelly says
My cat definitely gets a lot of eye buggers, i’m always cleaning them off her face.
Holly @ couchpotatoathlete says
I don’t have pets, but eye boogers would drive me nuts too — only because I know how annoyed I get when I have them in the AM!
That banana is the “perfect” banana to me — ripe with some brown spots.
Chelsea at Striking Balance says
I laughed out loud at the “nobody likes a mr.sniffles” line. I love that movie! Me and my roommates just watched it last week. I never tire of it. 🙂

Our lab has the worst eye boogers! It’s gross, but a Mom has to do what a Mom has to do! I have a box of tissues just for Hurley!
Veronica says
Yes! We have a Weim and he gets them ALL THE TIME! My husband and I are always wiping them away. I always think it looks like he is crying when they get too bad.
carlee says
Oh my gosh! I hate it when my dog gets eye boogers! Sometimes I just get them out when they are all crust and just sitting there! its nasty!
I love bananas and peaches! Fruit is da best! 😉
erica says
my dog gets eye boogers ALL THE TIME!!! he hates when i try to wipe them away though. it’s a constant battle between me, the dog, and the eye boogers!
LoLo says
I LOVE that movie!! Anyway, yes, dog and cat eye boogers drive me crazy! We have 4 dogs and 5 cats, so that accounts for many of them =) … Your breakfast is a typical breakfast for me! I am in love with greek yogurt and have been in love with fruit since I was a baby!
candi says
I call my cat’s boogers “goobies” – I pronounce it like the NJ housewives pronounce boobies.
maria @ Chasing the Now says
Gotta be honest: eyeboogers totally gross me out. On dogs and humans, so I gotta get rid of them!
Courtney @ Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life says
Ughhhhh, my cat gets eyeboogers ALL THE TIME and he has no idea how to get rid of them on his own. They’re so gross! lol
Laura says
Omigah my daughter (aka golden retriever whom I treat as if she is my first born) always has eye boogies TOO! I wipe her eyes at least three times a day. She doesn’t seem to mind though. First thing in the morning when she wakes up she walks up to me and puts her face close to mine as if asking to have the eye boogies wiped away. She just sits patiently when I do then she’s ready to start her day! You have to keep their eyes clean or else they get crusty and gross.
Nicola says
Lol, i thought I was the only one who wiped away my dogs eye boogers (i’ve never called it this though? :P) and then fed it to them lol. It sounds really gross, but when you do it, it’s like – what do I do with it? 😛
Erika @ Food, Fitness, & Fun says
Haha! My dog gets those all the time…they freak me out though so my mom gets them out. She’s kind of obsessive over them. 😉
Michelle says
I have a Vizsla too with the eye boog problem. I’m glad to hear that others let the dog eat them…I thought I might be the only one. Kind of gross, but better than wiping them on my pants!
Cassie says
My yorkie/maltese mix puppies both get them all the time! Yuck1
Katherina @ Zephyr Runs says
Everytime I visit my parents I scream that there’s no way I can be the only one wiping away the dog eye boogers!! I visit once every couple weeks, you’d think they’d get into the habit of ridding the poor pups eyes of their mess!!
I getcha girl, I getcha 🙂
Phillip says
Came across you page when I was searching for “eye boogers for dogs”. Basically from what my vet told me and from my own reasearch. If the color of the “booger” is yellow or yellow-green then you should take your dog to the vet, could be an infection. Also, different breeds produce more or less “boogers”. My pup is a redbone coonhound and he is an eye booger machine! So, hounds, cocker spaniels or and dog with a winkles face or loose skin around its face will probably produce more eye boogers than other dogs. Just cause of drainage stuff like that. By all means, I am no expert so if you think there’s a problem go to your vet. Cute dog by the way!
Bob says
It’s almost a year since the last comment but here’s one more–googling for endless eyeboogers brought me here. My little german rottietriever furball has them like CRAZY, but the vet said the same as the last commenter. Gross.
