It looks like Grimace the pumpkin has officially kicked the bucket.
Fortunately the other Halloween decorations are not perishable.
Dinner
Oooooh yum. Dinner tonight was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S.
First I plucked a small butternut squash from our produce basket, peeled and cubed it. After cutting up a red onion, I tossed the veggies in olive oil and salt and baked them for approximately 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
After the veggies were toasty, I crisped a Joseph’s lavash bread in the oven before topping it with the cubed butternut squash, red onion, chopped spinach, sliced Honeycrisp apple and goat cheese.
I ate the whole thing and licked my fingers clean.
I’m off to continue my Gossip Girl marathon with a tasty cup of hot chocolate.

Did Grimace just rot away? That is sad. 🙁 I’m not carving a pumpkin until Friday!

That pizza looks to DIE for. I would love to eat something like that. Too bad my hubby would never go for that…he is such a ‘just order papa johns’ type of man. LOL
Did you know you can prolong the life of your jackolantern by about another 2 weeks by rinsing it out with diluted bleach water before you carve?
Really! Fill half full with water, add a quarter cup (or a little less) of bleach and swish around really good after cleaning out the pumpkin. Carve. VOILA! It really works!

So, I discovered your blog a few weeks ago when looking up cute workout outfits…I don’t remember what post it was, but one of your pictures popped up on Google images and here I am! I love your blog. Anyways- just wanted to tell you that I actually made this recipe for dinner tonight. And I have an addition! Well, a modification. I cooked the onions & butternut squash for 10 mins, then added the apples and cooked it all together for about 13 more mins. It was AMAZING! You have also introduced me to goat cheese. I’m in love. Thanks for this recipe! And definitely try cooking the apples next time 🙂

Hey!! I found those lavish breads in a grocery store where I lived and got them because you talk about them so much! They are delicious!!!! I made a margarita pizza (tomato, red onion, moz cheese, olive oil, and balsamic), a chicken alfredo pizza, and a bbq chicken pizza with them!!!!! I love the super crisp crust the lavish bread makes!
