My annual women’s exam went well today! As well as it can go, I suppose.
After taking my blood pressure, the nurse said my numbers indicated that I must’ve been “very relaxed.” Yeah, you know, pap smears ain’t no thang.
Once I was all checked out, I headed home to make myself lunch that resembled my breakfast sandwich from Saturday morning.
Apparently I am in an egg sandwich kind of mood today!
I topped toasted honey wheat bread with a fried egg, cheese, hummus, tomato and spinach and served it with a dippy egg because I wanted to have the yolk to dip my sandwich into for a little added fun.
Post lunch, I had to get out of the house because Sadie was being extra needy today and I could not concentrate for the life of me.
I headed to Starbucks where I plan to be for the rest of my work day.
Work fueled by a peppermint mocha!
I have the stringiest hair in all the land. And that guy with the sunglasses thinks I’m a looney for using my self timer in Starbucks. Which I am.
To bring all of my belongings to Starbucks, I used an absolutely beautiful oGorgeous bag that a blogger friend, Cassey, sent to me for Christmas.
Can you believe she designed that amazing bag? Cassey started up her own business designing fashionable apparel and accessories and gym and yoga bags like the Beverly Bowtie bag (in dusty rose) that she sent to me.
Though the bag is technically a “gym bag,” I’ve been using my bag for both gym and everyday purposes because it’s too darn cute to just use at the gym!
It is big enough for my laptop, camera, wallet and lots more. I could probably zip Sadie up in there.
Check out all the pockets and neat features!
(Gotta love a key clip if you’re like me and your keys always seem to fall into some obscure pocket in your purse.)
For your swimsuit or sweaty gym clothes! So smart.
I love that Cassey is a young woman starting her own business and hope her company sees great success. If you’d like to purchase something from Cassey’s oGorgeous website, she’s offering PBF readers a 10 percent discount valid through December 21. Just use the coupon code PBFINGERS at check out. If you’re a fitness instructor, you can email Cassey directly at cassey@ogorgeous.com for 20 percent off forever.

- If you were to start up your own business, what kind of a business would you want to own?

Rebecca @ Miss Magnolia Munches & Moves says
I have always wanted to open a kitchenwares store! Like sur la table or williams sonoma, but more cutesy and local.

Hey Julie! OMG thanks so much for posting about my bags. You are so sweet. I really think that the dusty rose bow bag is a perfect fit for you. Girly, pretty, and adorable just like you! But multi-fuctional of course.

A smoothie cafe! It would be an excuse to get a vitamix 😉
Kari Burghardt says
I love making hair accessories…for babies, girls and adults. I just wish I had more time for it! I was selling lots of stuff last year but then Mollie didn’t go to daycare over the Summer and between her and working full time from home my hobby fell off the radar. She is back in daycare again but…now baby #2 is on the way…busy busy! 🙂
Holly @ Pink Runner says
I LOVE her bags. I always look at them online and wish I could get one!

That bag is to die for! Definitely more unique than all of the lululemon bags sported here in LA! It is so so cute! Thank you for sharing! As a personal trainer, I am sure I can spread the word and get people to buy some of those adorable gym bags!

peanutbutterfingers says
okay, how cool is it that you got a sunshine to show up in your name!?
Stephanie @ Snacking☀nSunshine says
That little sunshine is PRETTY much the reason why I called my blog S☀S 😉 It’s a wingding or whatever you call those crazy symbol fonts!
Blog is the New Black says

Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
Love that bag! To be honest–I wouldn’t want to start up my own business. I think it would be way too stressful. Yes, you get to set your hours and such but I think the responsibilities that come along with that would be a huge drawback.
Angela @ My Pinky Toes says
That bag is super super cute and I totally want one! I like to say that I kind of have my own design business…but mostly I make invitations and business cards for my friends and family! My mom also just started her own homemade soap business and her products are WONDERFUL!!! You should check out her stuff at http://www.soapsbydi.com!
Cassey says

Corrie Anne says
I love that BAG!! Checking it out. I want to have a studio and teach piano lessons. Probably next year! Maybe a little personal training on the side! 🙂
Julie says
What a cute bag! I love that you take pictures of yourself at Starbucks. My husband makes fun of me when I just take pictures of food, so I can’t imagine how he’d react if i took pictures of myself alone in a coffee shop…so cheers to you for setting the precedent! 🙂
If I wanted to start a business…I would do some kind of health coaching, where clients work with me to evaluate their decisions and try to live healthier lives. Is that a real thing? That would be fun.
Nathan Miller says
I would start a downhome midwest comfortfood restaurant, but would call it something like Duos…I would have the regular classic comfort food, but the other half the menu would be WAY lightened up Midwestern comfort food
Elizabeth says
A bakery of course! But instead I do female exams all day!!! ( I’m a WHNP and FNP).
Elizabeth says
Julie– I’ve been making delicious eggnog smoothies! Have you made one yet? E

LOVE that bag. Super chic and cute. And you can totally not go wrong with a key clip.
P.S. no need to be ashamed of the self timer. Once I asked a stranger to take a pic of me on the treadmill. Asked him to not judge me…he said…ok.
Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy says

Love the bag. So cute. The guy in the sunglasses is a crack up. I can just imagine what he is muttering under his breath. I always feel like a real putz when taking a self timed photo. Bue, he probably didn’t know you were a real celebrity!! LOL
Chloe says
There are many girls who can identify with you and that self timer, hehe
Amanda @ Running On Waffles says
