I’ve had this image saved on my computer for more than a year.
The title is kind of weird, but the graphic caught my eye on Pinterest a long time ago and I thought it would make a fun mini blog post series. (If you know the original source of the image, please let me know as I would like to give credit where credit is due!)
I’m not planning to dedicate a whole blog post to each of these topics every day and I may even combine days, but the series seemed a lot like an extended blog survey and since we all know I am a huge sucker for surveys, I cannot figure out why it took me this long to get around to debuting it on PBF. Let’s get started!
Day Two: Nine Loves
Yes, I skipped the first day. I started to share 10 secrets, but I got stumped after three, so it was time to move on. This challenge is off to a great start, huh?
Anyway… Nine loves!
1. Ryan
Going strong since 2004! He’s so important to me and truly gets me in a way I cannot describe. He seems to understand exactly what I need when I am feeling down and makes me feel absolutely adored every single day.
2. My Family
I feel incredibly lucky to have such a loving and fun family and amazing in-laws. They are the best people in the entire world.
3. Sadie
I know you’re totally shocked she made the list, right!? Sadie is the most joyful, playful, excitable little girl and I adore her more than I ever thought possible. I never quite understood the love people seemed to have for their pets until Ryan and I got Sadie and now I’m a lifelong member of the “way too obsessed with my dog” club.
4. My Girlfriends
I feel very fortunate to have forged lifelong friendships with women from every stage of my life. My best friends from elementary school/high school are still my best friends. My college girlfriends will be my best friends for years to come. The older I get, the more I realize how special quality friends are and I cherish these friendships and do my best to make the most of every opportunity I have to see my friends when we’re together.
5. Travel
Traveling is a passion of mine and I feel like I truly come alive when I explore new places and experience life outside of my little Florida bubble. I hope to take advantage of every opportunity I have to travel and see the world. A few bucket list places I’m dying to visit: Alaska, Australia, Thailand, Greece, the Maldives and Africa!
6. Reading
I’ve been a big-time reader all my life and there’s something about diving into a book at the end of a long day that relaxes me and transports me to another world. Books are the best.
7. The Outdoors
I need to spend time outside every single day or I start to feel a little stir crazy. Sunshine and a long walk do wonders for me!
8. Exercise
Exercise is a true love for me because of the way it makes me feel inside. It’s a release, an escape, a way to have a bit of “me time,” something that gives me a daily sense of accomplishment, something that makes me feel empowered and so much more.
9. Ice Cream
Because it’s the best food on the planet.
Question of the Afternoon
- What are some of your big loves?
Courtney says
Definitely with you on ice cream and the “way too obsessed with my dog” club! Exercise, my family, and sports (mostly hockey) are my loves! 🙂
Samantha @ The Faithful Runner says
This is an awesome challenge. I’d love to try it! My love starts with my faith and includes my husband, dog, family, running, outdoors. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Laura @ RunningJunkie says
Running and sweets are definitely on mine! Particularly gelato right now.
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
I went to the Maldives on my honeymoon and they are beautiful! I would say that it’s a good place to go, but once youve gone there’s really no need to go again. They aren’t SO exceptional that another island locale like Bora Bora, Tahiti, etc wouldn’t also fill that niche. We got our deal on Living Social, so keep an eye out!!
Love all your loves! 🙂
Kelly says
Love this idea, I think I”m going to do a post/series of posts on it too, thanks for the inspiration!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment says
I was surprised peanut butter was not on your list! 🙂
Kristen @ Glitter and Dust says
Aside from my husband and family, one of my new loves is swim-bike-run. I’ve always loved running, but have recently been training for my first 70.3 and never knew how much I would enjoy the complexity of three very different sports. It’s been my happy place.

Ohh this is a fun idea! I haven’t done a blog series or challenge yet, but I’d love to. I’m definitely saving this as an idea.
