It’s JUNE! How are we already halfway through 2015!? Time is flyin’ this year, that’s for sure. Since June is upon us, it’s time for your monthly Top 15 of 2015 post!
At the end of 2014, I continued with a mini series I began a few years ago and featured the top posts of the year on PBF. Beginning in January, I decided to prolong the series for the duration of 2015 and highlight the top 15 posts from each month on the blog at the end of every month.
These are not necessarily the top new posts I publish each month, as throwback posts from several years ago seem to pop up and claim top spots each month which I always find interesting!
Here are your most popular PBF posts (according to pageviews) from the month of June, divided into three categories: Recipes, Fitness and Extras. (Note: This series does not include any giveaways, previous Top 15 posts or Things I’m Loving Friday posts.)
RECIPES
In the mood for a sweet treat that takes all of five minutes to make? Look no further! I threw this recipe together in no time at all and have a feeling I’ll be making these bars a number of times this summer when warmer temperatures zap my desire to turn on the oven.
Chocolate for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do! I’m glad this collection of three chocolate-based recipes caught your eye this month because I’m a big fan of every single one! If you haven’t had a chance to make the chocolate chia seed pudding yet, that one is a personal favorite!
I’ve made these popsicles twice since I posted this recipe earlier this month. (I swapped the strawberries for blueberries once and thought that rendition of this recipe was a winner, too.) They’re the perfect healthy dessert for a hot spring/summer night!
This recipe from October of last year gained a little traction this month! It’s such a simple one to make and tastes fantastic. If you love the spinach feta wraps at Starbucks, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
I was surprised to see this recipe from 2010 claim a top spot this month, but it really is a good one that I need to bring back into my life! Both Ryan and I made these Pioneer Woman-inspired pancakes regularly for the longest time and I’m not quite sure why I forgot about them until now. So delicious!
FITNESS
Looking for a workout that targets your legs and core? This 20-minute workout quickly moves from one exercise to the next to keep boredom at bay.
This blog post features a collection of my favorite Pandora workout stations, perfect for days when you’re sick of your current workout playlist and don’t have time to create a new one.
I shared this outdoor walking workout last summer when the heat was killer and I wanted to complete an outdoor workout that wouldn’t make me want to collapse in a pile of my own sweat. It’s a great way to add a little variety to a three mile walk by stopping after each mile to complete a short round of bodyweight exercises. This blog post also features a roundup of walking workouts I’ve shared on the blog in the past, so if you’re looking for a great walking workout, definitely check it out!
I shared this post on the blog last summer a few weeks after I absolutely fell in love with Pure Barre. I received a handful of questions and emails from readers about what to wear to a barre class and wrote about my personal preferences for barre workout apparel here.
Oh hey 2012 workout! I am assuming this workout must have been pinned a lot on Pinterest or something because I have no idea why it would all of the sudden become popular so many years later. This workout was posted back in the days when I made most of my workout images in Excel and Microsoft Paint!
EXTRAS
- PBF Baby Weekly Updates
These updates claimed the top spots in the “Extras” category this month but since I didn’t want this category to be totally consumed by baby-related posts, I’m consolidating them into one spot! Here are the weekly updates and baby-related posts that claimed top spots this month, in order of popularity: 25 Weeks, 28 Weeks, 27 Weeks, 26 Weeks and My Go-To Pregnancy Resources.
Proving, yet again, that weddings are always a popular topic on PBF, this recap of my friend Krystal’s special day seemed to be a popular one this month. Her wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we had the best time celebrating Krystal and Matt!
- Lately I’ve Been Survey
I love that you guys seem to love blog surveys just as much as I do! They’re always entertaining for me to read on other blogs so I really enjoy sharing them on PBF from time to time as well.
Oh my gosh this was such a fun blog post to write and I cannot believe it took me two years after our wedding to share the story behind our wedding kiss with you guys! Don’t head over to check out this blog post expecting some super sweet romantic story about the world’s most perfect wedding kiss. Our wedding kiss is something that still makes us laugh so hard to this very day!
This is another throwback blog post from 2011 where I shared a sneak peek into the gift I gave to Ryan for our one year wedding anniversary!
