And thanks so much for taking time out of your holiday weekend to stop by PBF today!
I think I am STILL full from yesterday’s Thanksgiving eating extravaganza but you better believe I am pumped for lots of leftovers today. Anyone else out there think pumpkin pie pairs perfectly with a hot cup of coffee for breakfast? Anyone!? (Don’t knock it ‘til ya try it!)
It’s Friday so it should be no surprise that today I’m sharing my usual Things I’m Loving Friday blog post on the blog which highlights a small roundup of some of the things that are making me smile right now. I hope you will join in the fun and share a little bit about something you are loving in the comments section of this post.
Have a great weekend! And enjoy every bite of your Thanksgiving leftovers!!
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Thanksgiving
Of course this is the first item on my list for today! I will be sure to share a recap of our Thanksgiving weekend on Monday but having my parents in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with us is, without a doubt, what I am loving most this week! Good times, good food, good people. My favorite!
You guys always seem to knock it out of the park with your TILF recommendations and this is one recommendation I somehow forgot to highlight on the blog for weeks! A while ago, I commented on how much I love Sally Hansen Instant Dry nail polish for its rapid dry abilities but complained about the fact that it seems to chip easily. Well, blog readers Julie and Ali chimed in to recommend Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat nail polish (paired above with my new fav Essie Petal Pushers) and told me it turns almost any nail polish into a rapid-drying polish.
You guys, it’s a total game changer! I use it ALL the time and it has allowed me to use some of my favorite nail polishes again since I was avoiding a lot of them because I felt like I never had time to sit down and paint my nails and wait for them to dry anymore. It’s super cheap (less than $5) and it has more than 5,000 positive Amazon reviews. If you’re impatient like I am when it comes to giving your nails time to dry, definitely give this stuff a try. Amazing!
This tiny little cloth is unbelievable. It completely removes makeup with only water and I use it every single night after I wash my face and it does the BEST job at removing stubborn eye makeup. (I still personally prefer to use my favorite cleanser rather than just water when I wash my face but I think we all know that face wash doesn’t exactly do a stellar job at removing eye makeup.) I previously blogged about the Wonder Cloth and while I still love it, I must admit the Makeup Eraser Cloth is superior. I think this would make a great stocking stuffer for the beauty lovers out there!
- November PopSugar Must Have Box
November’s PopSugar Must Have Box was a total WIN!!! They clearly knew exactly what I needed this month and have already used almost everything in the box! The gorgeous Pehr wine/cream table runner was the perfect addition to our Friendsgiving table and we used the Meri Meri sparkly star cupcake toppers from the box on top of the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes I picked up from Whole Foods to add a little festive flare. Thanks so much for the fun delivery, PopSugar!!

I had to laugh because I’m reading this as I’m sipping on some coffee with a huge piece of pumpkin pie next to it haha! 🙂 I added whipped cream to my coffee though, so that was probably a bad decision..whoops!

Loving getting to spend time with my cousins and their kids who I don’t get to see very often. Happy Thanksgiving!
Mrs K. @ Mrs. Kringle's Kitchen says
I’m totally buying that nail polish! I use Sally Hansen as well but if it’s even better then I think that’s a good stocking stuffer idea for me! 😉 I needed to replace my Food Saver (10 years old!) and got 33% plus 8% cash back (double!) on Ebates so I’m a pretty happy camper about that!
I’m loving the time I got with my grandma yesterday and the utter raves over my Apple Crumb Cookie Butter Pie! Next year I’ll have to make two for sure!
Julia @ PB & Julia says
I’m also loving all these Black Friday deals! I’m Canadian so we already celebrated our Thanksgiving last month, but that won’t stop me from having some pumpkin pie this weekend!

You know what I use sometimes to remove eye makeup? Lotion. I put a small amount on a cotton pad and gently wipe it over my eyes. It takes it off so easily and you don’t have to rub. I’ve never had an issue with it getting in my eyes and irritating them. It’s honestly better than any makeup remover I’ve ever tried. Also, as a bonus, I think it’s kept my eye area wrinkle free because of the type of lotion I use.

I was hoping you’d have a workout posted since I’m at my mom’s without a gym and you didn’t disappoint! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!

Loved my mom’s chocolate cake with icecream. Mom ‘s food is always the best isn’t it? I’m also really loving these autumn sunny days.
Hope you have an amazing weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving Julie! Those pies look delicious, what flavors are they, besides the pumpkin? And yes to pumpkin and coffee. Dessert and coffee is always one of my favorite combos!

Hi Julie! Love reading your blog! Question out coconut aminos-what are they and what do you take them for?
Julie says
I use coconut aminos like I would soy sauce! It tastes very similar but doesn’t have any soy in it! 🙂

I’m thankful for this blog! I’ve been reading it every day since you and Ryan were dating, before you were engaged, and I can’t even really remember how I found it! I *think* I was googling for something, and came across a blog post with an answer….and stayed 4-evah! Came for the post, stayed for the fun! 🙂 It’s bookmarked on ALL my computers (and I have 3!) Happy belated Thanksgiving!
Julie says
Thank you so much, Kim!!! Your comments never fail to make me smile and I am so appreciative of your constant kindness and sweet words. Thank you! xo

The one thing I’m loving this week is that it has now become socially acceptable to start singing Christmas carols, putting up a Christmas tree, and various other Christmas-y activities!
Christmas is absolutely my favorite holiday!
Kim from MN says
Just saw your comment and had to respond – because I totally agree!! I’m relieved that I can finally sing songs and decorate without anybody teasing me that it’s too early. Woo hoo!

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the recommendation of Essie Pedal Pushers – I got it cuz I needed a change and glad I did. I’ve been enjoying the color! and keep getting compliments from strangers too. Just got that fast dry top coat today. Can’t wait to try it.
Nothing better than a good top coat. So thankful for your blog, it must be a lot of work to keep up everyday. Thank you!
All the best, Deanna

I actually bookmarked that PB blanket too! I love the pink one for my girl, but I’m tempted by the dramatic black and white! So cute!! There was another one on there too that I was going to order and have monogrammed for adeline but when I added it to my cart it says ‘shipping Februay 2017″!!!!!!! Sooooo there went that idea. So make sure if you get that other blanket you check on shipping! I might order the pink one since my other idea fell through!

Hi Julie,
You have some great workouts listed on your blog. I was wondering how you decide what kind of workout you are going to do each day. Sometimes you do your own workout routines, sometimes you go to a class, sometimes you go for a run, etc. Do you pre-plan what you are going to do, or do you just come up with whatever sounds good that day?
I’m just getting started with working out and I am overwhelmed with all of the many workout options!
Sara says
Hi Julie! I love your blog and tips and have purchased many of the items you’ve suggested and have loved them! I just ordered the Gap pjs you mentioned (Chase lookd sooo cute in the pics!) last night for my little guy. I wanted to tell you that I ordered the top coat recommended on this blog post and it arrived today…but I decided to immediately throw it away (unfortunately) b/c there is a warning on the back that says, “WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.” I just wanted to mention it because normally I probably wouldn’t have even noticed the warning. The same warning is on the bottle as well but it’s more difficult to see/notice. I hope you don’t mind me bringing this to your attention. I look forward to all of your blogs! Sara
