Spring is officially here and that makes me incredibly happy! We had an unseasonably gray and dreary winter in Charlotte so the warmer weather and sunshine are more than welcome. It’s time to break out tank tops, breezy tees, sundresses, flip flips, sleeveless jumpsuits, lightweight cardigans and swimsuits! Woop!
I recently had the opportunity to partner with WalMart to shop their springtime apparel and walked away with some finds I am excited to share with you guys. As I’m sure you guessed, the apparel at WalMart is incredibly affordable — nothing featured below is more than $20 — and I had a little too much fun browsing their website for a little springtime wardrobe refresh. They had a TON of spring and summertime fashion finds on their site — we’re talking everything from sandals and swimsuits to beach totes and breezy dresses — and I walked away with a comfy denim midi dress, a mustard jumpsuit worthy of a date night and a loose-fitting olive green jumpsuit that is perfect for playtime with the boys.
Here’s a peek into what I nabbed:
This jumpsuit immediately caught my eye because I fell in love with a wide-leg navy jumpsuit I ordered last summer that looked quite similar. The material has an almost linen look to it and when I saw the jumpsuit was available in olive, I just had to have it. (It’s also available in black and navy.)
I paired the jumpsuit with a cropped white tank one day during our spring break vacation last week and it was so incredibly comfortable that I know it will be a spring and summertime wardrobe staple for me. I paired it with leopard print slides but think it would be cute with a pair of slip-on sneakers (and a top knot!) for a more playful look, too. (For sizing reference, I ordered a small.)
I am a sucker for mustard yellow and I’m also a sucker for a cute jumpsuit so you better believe I am loving this affordable find! I wore this jumpsuit out to dinner with two friends two weeks ago and they both immediately asked me for details on this one so I took that as a good sign! It’s very lightweight and breezy (you definitely need to pair it with a flesh-colored bra and a flesh-colored no-panty-lines thong) but I love the way it can be dressed up with a pair of heels or down with a casual pair of sandals and a denim jacket.
The jumpsuit is also available in coral and royal blue but they are all going fast! (I tried order my size in the coral after falling in love with my yellow version and it’s already sold out.) Though I wore this jumpsuit with a strapless bra, I think it could also look cute paired with a strappy bralette for an edgier look. (For sizing reference, I ordered a small.)
I am all about the shirt dress trend because as a nursing mother, it makes feeding Ryder on the go a lot easier! Most dresses are not nursing friendly but thankfully this midi dress fit the bill and worked well for me for my Easter morning look! I paired it with a lightweight duster cardigan because it was a little breezy outside but honestly prefer it without the cardigan because of the feminine flutter sleeves.
The midi version is already sold out in most sizes but there’s an above-the-knee version of the dress that’s still available that’s absolutely adorable! (For sizing reference, I ordered a medium.)
Additional Finds
And the following two items I actually purchased a while back before the WalMart partnership came about and I figured they deserved a little shout out, too, since they’re still in stock on the site! If you’ve kept up with the blog over the course of the past two months or so, you’ve probably seen these items pop up already!
This is the perfect no-fuss nylon backpack and it was a past Things I’m Loving Friday feature for good reason! We used it as a diaper bag for the boys during a trip to the zoo last month and it’s served us well for everything from random errands around town to a trip to the beach during spring break and more. You can’t beat the price and it comes in a bunch of other colors and patterns.
This was an impulse buy when I was ordering some things for the boys a while back and I was honestly shocked by just how much I loved this sweatshirt! Aside from black leggings, it’s easily my most-worn item of the past two months because the weight is perfect for spring weather. It’s not a thick, fleece-lined sweatshirt but more of a soft knit blend and since most of my sweatshirts have a sportier look, I love the way this one looks a little more feminine thanks to the floral print.

I’ve been on the hunt for a floral sweatshirt, can’t wait to try this!
Julie says
You will love it! The minute it’s washed and out of the laundry I find myself wearing it immediately every time. Love it!
Melissa says
Such cute stuff! I can’t believe these clothes are from Walmart! I just got some really nice spring items from LOFT, they have the prettiest scalloped bottom white shorts that I am in love with!
Maureen says
I just ordered that jumpsuit! It ships free to my local store. I’m pretty sure I haven’t purchased clothes from Walmart before—never even thought about it really! Thanks for sharing ?
Julie says
Woop! Hope you love it! It’s so comfy!
Heather says
Love the post, love the outfits. That said, the majority of the clothes are out of stock. While this is an issue that is obviously behind your control, as a reader it is annoying to click on link after link only to find out everything is old out.

I love fun sweatshirts to go with leggings. Mom attire at it’s finest, which I need! Are these sold in stores also? I love that olive green jumpsuit but only 5’3″. Did you purchase a small? I noticed no XS is available and worry it will be too long! Thanks!
Julie says
I am 5’8’’ and ordered a small! It might be a little bit on a more petite frame but the straps are adjustable!

I took that same backpack to Disney World, and it was the perfect “not-too-big-but-not-too-small” bag for our long days in the parks! And I need to order that yellow jumpsuit- so cute!
Julie says
Ah! Tell me more about Disney! Did you bring kids with you & if so how old? Ryan is dying to take the boys but I keep thinking we should wait until they’re older…
Caroline H. says
It was just my husband & I (no kids) so I can’t speak to taking kids directly, but when it comes to Disney, I really feel like any age can enjoy it and is easily accommodated! They have so many things for kids Chase’s age, and they have really great Baby Care centers in every park for Ryder. Chase might have to skip out on some of the “bigger” rides until he’s a bit older but if that doesn’t deter you, I’d say go for it! Plus, kids under three are essentially free so there wouldn’t be much added expense for Ryder. Disney World vacations take a ton of planning, so I’d recommend going through a Disney travel agent if you decide to go for it! 🙂

I scooped up that backpack the day you posted about it the first time. We have a jujube (also at your recommendation) and now that our oldest is 3 (youngest is 1), I started to feel like it was a little bulky given that our kids don’t need THAT much when we go out. Well, I’m obsessed! It fits my diaper pouch perfectly as well as a spare set of clothes for the 3 year old and snacks galore. Thanks for the recommendation!
Julie says
Isn’t it great!?! I swear something about having two kids made me adopt the less is more mentality when it comes to diaper bags!
Colleen says
So funny you posted this because I actually just ordered a bunch of cute spring items from Wal Mart that just arrived! I am wearing this super cute shirt/dress at work right now and it’s so comfy and actually really good quality! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Women-s-Sleeveless-Tunic-Top/874318128?variantFieldId=actual_color
Thanks for sharing your favs, you look so cute in all of them!
Julie says
So pretty! Love the floral pattern!
Kayla says
Love all of these outfits, Julie! I can’t believe these clothes are from Walmart, they are so cute! I never think to shop at Walmart for clothes, but it looks like I might want to rethink that! 😉 I hope you’re having a great week! Xoxo
Julie says
Thanks Kayla! So many cute things on their site right now!!
Stephanie says
Love these! Do they run pretty true to size – specifically the sweatshirt and mustard jump suit? Thanks!
Julie says
Yes! I think the jumpsuit runs slightly big so if you’re between sizes I would size down.
Haley says
I love the shoes you are wearing in your Easter pictures!! Where are they from?!
Julie says
thank you! they’re kork ease but i got them a few years ago 🙂

I love a jumpsuit! Overalls are fun, too, but I am scared to order one online to try. I keep having flashbacks to middle school ? I’m a mama of two littles, too! Finding clothes somewhere between teenagers and elderly is so hard! I was on a roll with Stitch Fix, but have been striking out lately. This yellow dress is my favorite.

I love that some of the photos are you just in real life. Thank you for doing that:) Super cute clothes! You did a great job picking them out.

Thank you for this post-I love all of it! I was wondering if you have some summer/hot weather athleisure clothes that you’ve been enjoying lately or are looking forward to? I love your athleisure style and wondering what it looks like in the summer since I have just recently stumbled upon the blog!
