I’m thinking we should start today off with a little cuteness.
Hands down the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in Orlando!
While on my morning walk with Sadie, I called Ryan to tell him about this woman’s t-shirt I saw that said “Sheboygan.” (Long story – Any Wisconsin readers out there?) Anyway, I practically hung up on him to snap this picture with my phone when I saw the two babies hitchin’ a ride on Mama Swan.
Of course I immediately texted the picture to my mom, sister and Ryan.
My mom’s reply? “Are you in Europe?”
Remember those swans?
Fetch me a saddle, I wanna ride one!
Workout
Sadie and I walked around the lake and saw the swans after my morning workout. I began my workout with 25 minutes on the treadmill (15 min. incline walking, 10 min. run) before deciding that was enough cardio for the day. I just wasn’t feeling the whole cardio thang, so I headed upstairs and into a 6 a.m. yoga class.
I haven’t taken a yoga class in the longest time and I felt like even more of an amateur than I usually do. If someone would like to send me some hamstrings that actually stretch, I would be much obliged.
Breakfast
After yoga and a walk with Sadie, I was more than ready for breakfast.
Breakfast came together quickly thanks to some prep work last night.
Uber chocolaty overnight oats!
I think I added a bit too much almond milk to the mix because the overnight oats were a little too liquidy at first. Once I stirred in some frozen banana slices and a scoop of peanut butter, the mixture thickened up a bit and was much more appetizing.
Okay, so it still looks like dung, but it was delicious.
And check this out:
The Keurig, brewin’ like a champ!
I’m loving this machine so far and can’t wait to buy a bunch of flavored coffee pods. I’ve been working my way through the sampler pack that came with the coffee maker and am anxious to get some new flavors to try. Ryan and I also heard that it can make hot chocolate! Who knew?
Time to get crackin’ on today’s to-do list. I have a meeting scheduled with a friend who owns a t-shirt company to discuss those PBF t-shirts I mentioned many moons ago. Should be a fun one!

My husband and I love our Keurig! He even has one in his office and allows his employees to use it as well. Fun little tip, his secretary actually uses her kcups twice and swears it’s just as good second time around. I haven’t tried it yet, but should since it’s an easy money saver. I think the coffee would be weak, but she says it’s not.
Kathie says
I’m live from WI too, but I’m just a FIB vacationing here. But I aspire to be a Wisconsinite, Illinois is too Democratic for me 😉 LMAO at “Who’s more SHeboygan”. My IL’s (whose house we’re at) have a bunch of friends up here from Sheboygan and….yeah.
Those swans are adorable, they are going on my pinterest 🙂
Ashley says
My sister lives in Sheboygan! Beautiful city along the lake, and the weirdest news stories come out of that city. (Like the woman who bit her husband’s tongue off???) Planning a trip there in August!
Jessie says
Ahhhh Sheboygan! I live about an hour south of there and have a few friends who live there 🙂
Sarah says
PB&F tee-shirts? How exciting!!!
Fancy schmancy coffee maker. Love it!
Laura @ prettylittlewords says
Julie I love how many Badger readers you have!!! 🙂 I lived in Madison, but always giggled when anyone said Sheboygan 😀
Michele says
Hey Julie!
The swans are sooo precious – about the keurig though, definitely invest in the K-Cup that you can fill with your own kinda coffee, its a life saver especially when you run out of the premade K-Cups!
Katie @ One Step Back, Two Steps Forward says
Can’t wait for the shirts! I am from Wisconsin and can tell you that I’d much rather sport a PBF shirt that a shirt that says Milwaukee on it, haha.
Mac says
Amen to this comment!
peanutbutterfingers says
haha i love it!
Claudia says
I am from Sheboygan [well actually Sheboygan Falls] and I don’t think it sounds funny at all- have you ever heard of Chipping Sodbury in England? Now that is a funny name. This post did make me smile though. 😀

I’ve been reading your blog for a while, never commented until now though. I just have to tell you how completely obsessed my mom and I have been with our Keurig since we bought it! The pumpkin flavor is awesome, I think it may be seasonal though. I like the island coconut and the butter toffee too and they also have k-cups that you brew over ice for iced coffee and iced tea. My mom LOVES the southern sweet iced tea. I drink the green tea alot too. I could go on and on about all the different kinds! I usually find alot on amazon. Love the blog!
brittany says
i saw those cute little guys this morning too while i was running around lake eola! adorable!
Abby says
Ahh! Can’t wait to hear more about the t shirts! 🙂
Adriane (the greenhorn) says
Those swan babies are so cute! And your use of the ohrase “hitchin’ a ride” made it even better lol.
I got a Keurig for Christmas and use it all.the.time. My in-laws stayed the night with us last night so they got to have coffee before they left (at 4 a.m.) and it was great because each of them could have different kinds and I didn’t have a pot to clean (again, at 4 a.m.!).
The Caribou organic is my go-to plain but the flavors are awesome and my husband drinks the teas and cocoa. We even use it for hot water in instant oatmeal! Safer and faster than putting plastic in the microwave. Heart those Keurigs.
Amanda says
If you’re a fan of chai lattes, there are some amazing K cups for the Keurig. They are definitely the best thing I’ve made with mine, but I would also recommend the apple cider if you’re a fan.
Emily says
Cutest thing ever! Can’t wait for the tshirts!
Laura (LunaChickRuns) says
Do tell on the Sheboygan story. I am from WI (born and raised!) and my great aunt actually lives in Sheboygan!
And that pic is too cute for words!
Brooke says
i’m from central wisconsin, not too far from sheboygan 🙂
Anna says
Julie! Not only am I a wisconsin reader, but I actually live in sheboygan! It’s a great city and a rockin time, but we always have the craziest stories in the sheboygan press. Kid getting stuck in a candy machine? Only in shevegas! 🙂
Shana @ 100lbsandcounting says
What a beautiful picture! love the baby swans
Joan says
I was born and raised in Wi. We’re going up there in 3 weeks for my Grandmothers 90th Birthday. My husband is already looking forward to the cheese curds. He had never had them until I took him up there over 20 years ago, now evertime we go visit that’s the first thing he wants.
The swan and her babies are so cute!!
Erica says
I’ve been having a horrible couple days and that Swan photo made me smile..Thank you
Katrina says
I’m Canadian and live in Wisconsin… The teasing is endless! When I moved here, I was quickly taught three things: 1) What to call a drinking fountain (bubbler). 2) That Racine News didn’t have any newspapers (it was a porn shop). 3) What a FIB meant. My classmates had their priorities. 😉
I also discovered Mars Cheese Castle; a place devoted to everything cheese (including the squeaky variety). Outside of cheese, they have a gift shop, bakery, and bar. It oozes Wisconsin!
Christina says
I am from Wisconsin and LOVE it here!! The worst, and I mean WORST thing about living here is the fact that I am lactose intolerant…..but cheese curds are definetely worth the stomach ache 🙂
Chelsea M says
Love the babies and mama, so cute but I think Sadie might be the most adorable thing in Orlando!
I love yoga also and have felt that my hamstrings were rocks but doing it 1-2 time a week has made me so much more flexible!!
Laura says
Thanks for the Wisconsin shout-out! I’m from (and live in) Madison, WI. Though I consider beer, cheese curds, and frozen custard to be three of the best things ever, there’s a lot more to Wisconsin than just that! Very cool that you used to go camping here! 🙂
Alaina says
Awwww! So friggin’ adorable.
Hehe, Sheboygan. Fun name.
Kristen @ The Red Velvet Life says
Too cute! And I totally know what you mean about discovering your hamstrings in yoga – I’m that way with bikram! Hope the meeting went well — t-shirts sound super fun 🙂
sarah (sarah learns) says

Allison @ Happy Tales says
ohhhhhh my heavens. that swan and her bebes are the CUTEST THING EVER!
And now after all this Sheboygan talk, i’m gonna have to google it to see what all the hype is about!
Erin says
I just moved from Green Bay after living there 4 years for work. I went right by Sheboygan all the time going to Chicago. Wisconsin will always have a special place in my heart since I started my career there.
Jennifer (The Gourmetour) says
I have a couple of good friends from Sheboygan! (that’s Chicago for ya)
Laura says
The Keurig hot chocolate is super yummy!
