First things first, after a bunch of you asked, the information about the dress my sister wore to the wedding this weekend has been added to the Fashion page.
***
After a solid four and a half hours on the road, plus a 30-minute pit-stop in Ocala to drop off Ryan, Iām back at my parentsā house to pick up Sadie and will be in St. Pete for the night!
Iām not gonna lie, Iām a little too excited to watch The Bachelor with my mom and sister this evening. Watching all the nutty drama is so much more fun when you can chat about it and overanalyze the craziness.
Breakfast
Our commute home from Amelia Island began around 9 a.m.
Ryan, my sister and I made a pit stop at the nearest Starbucks for breakfast.
I kept things light and ordered a spinach, egg white and feta wrap because my stomach felt a little funky (it still does, actually).
After dropping off Ryan in Ocala, Leslie and I hit up Subway for sandwiches on our way back to St. Pete.
I opted for a ham sub with all the veggies, though you wouldāve thought I ordered a mustard sandwich considering the amount of the yellow condiment that found its way onto my sub.
I wiped some of the mustard away and dug in!
Though my appetite still isnāt back to normal, I was hungry for lunch and the sub tasted great.
We arrived at my parentsā house close to 3 p.m. and after smothering Sadie in kisses, I immediately ate a small container of fresh blackberries and a Fiber One bar.
Apparently my mom and dad spent time going through old boxes of stuff this weekend, so there were some fun things to see when we arrived, including a pile of amusing old photos.
I love looking at my parentsā wedding day pictures.
Donāt you think my dadās āstache is snazzy?
(Longtime readers may remember the day I tried on my momās wedding dress! So fun!)
And how sweet is this picture of my sister?
Iām gonna go out on a limb here and say my mom cut her bangs.
I also couldnāt help but smile when I saw this old photo of me and my dad having fun on the beach!
I hope you guys all had a great weekend and are enjoying an added day off if youāre able to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day today!
I cant believe how perfect your moms wedding dress fit! (and how blonde you were of course!)
Love the old pics!
i used to be almost white blonde… and i was actually born with RED hair!
such a cute picture of you and your dad!! And I think our parents got married around the same time because my mom’s dress looks SO similar! My gift to my parents at my own wedding was a photobook of all their wedding pictures š
Great pictures! I’m sure we’ve all had our bangs cut by mom. Have a good day.
I’ve never try this wrap from Starbucks, but it looks so delicioussssssssss
Those pictures of you and your sister are adorable. I love looking back at old pictures and remembering the fun childhood that I had!

Looking at old pictures is always so funny. š Had to laugh about the comment of your mom cutting your sister’s bangs. I’ve had my fair share of pictures of me with an at-home haircut. horrible! haha

Great picture of you and your pops! One that will last a lifetime
Awww, I LOVE looking back through old photos! So fun š I could probably spend hours going through my family’s albums. It’s why I try hard to keep all of my photos documented well so I can go back through them with my kids someday!
Not gonna lie. Your dad is quite a babe! That one picture of you on his shoulders is pretty darn adorable. I love going through old pics of my family from back in the day. So fun! Have a safe trip back home and have a great Monday!

Ahh…I’m excited for the Bachelor too!! š
And you are the cutest, happiest baby ever. The end.
Your parents look exactly the same….good genes!
There’s 4-6 of us girls who get together every Monday night to watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad, whichever one is on. It’s so much fun. We definitely love to critique and overanalyze it…so much more fun when you can share the crazy with others haha.
Your sick stomach sounds a bit like a hangover, which is completely understandable after attending a wedding! š
wow….our parents wedding photos are almost identical! so fun(ny) to look back on
Wow, fun trip down memory lane!
I love subs from Subway–good choice š
OMG those pictures are SO cute! I love looking back at old photos – they bring back so many memories! Your sister’s bangs look very similar to the way I had mine when I was little. š

I love looking through old pictures, and you were adorable. Hope your stomach is feeling better soon. I think stomach issues are the worst to deal with.
Old pictures are my favorite! Your fam is too cute! And 70’s weddings are so hilarious – sleeves, ‘staches, shades, ’nuff said!

I hope it’s not the wedding/stomach bug curse striking again! Hope you feel better.
Awh how cuute! I always love looking back on old pictures so much š
I agree that watching the bachelor is way more fun with others. I miss college and watching with my roomies every week!
I completely agree about the Bachelor … it is SO much better when watched with other ladies who can overanalyze everything! š
Loving the uneven bangs your mom get your sister … that looks like something my mom would have done!
Haha, I think every father had a ‘stache in the 80s. My dad’s was pretty cool. š
I once tried to cut my own bangs. Yeah, they were about an inch below my hair line.
Oh and the title reminds me of the Jimmy Fallon and Ben Affleck skit on SNL where they’re radio DJ’s. “And we’re back!!”
That is an awesome picture of you and your dad!
Love the wedding photo of your Mom and Dad!
And I have to say that you look SO much like your Dad and your sister looks SO much like your Mom. Do you hear that often?

That picture of you and your dad is priceless! Definitely a kodak moment.
I always ask for the condiments on the side at Subway – so much easier to control that way!
How cute are you in that pic!!!
I love the bangs on your sister! I had bangs when I was young too but i refuse to cut bangs on either of my little girls, haha. They are just such a pain to grow out!
AAH Julie that baby pic of you and your dad is so precious!! You look like you were having the best day of your life š Can I just say that Leslie looks SO much like your mom in her wedding day pic??
