Once I logged in, I was greeted with a “Howdy, Daniel” at the top, left side of my AOL homepage.
Odd.
I figured it was some sort of a mistake until day after day this week, I’ve been greeted with various welcoming phrases, followed by the name Daniel.
Daniel = Julie?
It could be worse… I could be greeted with a name like Hawk, which, coincidentally is the boy’s baby name Ryan loves at the moment.
Let’s hope he grows out of that one by the time we’re ready for a Baby Squirt of our own.
Lunch
For lunch Daniel I enjoyed a sandwich full of flavor!
Piled onto a whole wheat sandwich thin was:
- 1/2 Aidells chicken & apple sausage link (I ate the half that didn’t make it onto the sandwich)
- 1 slice Swiss cheese
- 1/4 Granny Smith apple, thinly slices (I ate the other 3/4 of the apple while making breakfast this morning)
On the side, I included grape tomatoes and green pepper slices for some added nutrients.
I am a big fan of fruits and meats paired together… if done correctly! I’m not about to sit down to a feast of ground beef mixed with strawberries, but baked apples and pork is another story!
Perhaps I’ll revisit the meat and fruit combo for dinner?
Or perhaps not… I’m feelin’ risotto!

Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine says
Hahahaha Hawk. I love it. Hey, it’s way better than some of the baby names I’ve heard lately…I’m hoping weird kid names go out of style by the time I have kids!
Katy (The Singing Runner) says
Haha… that’s funny. Just the other week I was greeted on my e-mail with a name other than my own! Weird!
Emma (Sweet Tooth Runner) says
You know, I think the Hawk and Ryan make a very beautiful couple! 😛

haha that cracks me up about AOL calling you Daniel. on a more serious note, are you struggling at all with a post Thanksgiving slump? i am still feeling really gross from overindulging and cannot help but be discouraged by the weight that i gained. do you have any advice for dealing with this or were you able to avoid holiday weight gain?
peanutbutterfingers says
yes, i definitely am. my jeans are fitting tighter and i just feel a little sluggish all over. to be honest with you, i feel like my eating has been out of whack lately (hence my “food rut” post from yesterday), but i’m trying not to focus on that and am looking toward getting back on track with healthy eating. beating yourself up over things you ate over thanksgiving will get you no where… just move on to healthier ways! i’ll join ya! 🙂
Kristin says
thank you so much for your honest and words of wisdom 🙂 it is so easy to lose focus of what is really important and get discouraged by pants that don’t fit quite right. hopefully by next week we’ll be feeling back to normal!
Kristin says
honesty, that is…haha. clearly i need a lesson in proofreading 😉
Hope says
That is hilarious!! Daniel! I still use AOL mail too! For some reason I just can’t get rid of my old screen name. Hawk is hilarious too! I love the picture with Ryan! Thanks for the laughs! 🙂
Jenna says
Haha hawk. That was my middle school mascot.
Erin says
That is hysterical!! AOL does some pretty crazy things. Like you, I’ve also had the same AOL account since I was in 8th grade, and for the past ten years of so, people have emailed me thinking that I am…get this… TONY DANZA!! I mean, all different people send me random fan mail! I have no idea why this happens, but it does about 4-5 times/year. Gotta love AOL, Daniel. Love, Tony 🙂 🙂 🙂
peanutbutterfingers says
omg! too funny!
Amanda (Eating Up) says
Actually strawberries and ground beef don’t sound that bad to me! Haha!
Kelly says
Hawk sounds like the son of Walker Texas Ranger. Let’s all cross our fingers that name is long gone before there are little PB fingers. 😉
anonymous says
i agree,it so does! 😀
Amber K says
My husband was on a real kick with wanting the name Hunter S if we had a boy. S being the entire middle name. Ummmmm no. Four years later and still no baby, but I think he might finally be over Hunter! 🙂
Jen says
Sorry Ryan – one more “NO” vote for Hawk. How about Jameson? Not that were rushing you for little PBF’s but……
Leah says
Ricky loves the name Phoenix. Where do they come up with these goofy names??
Stefanie says
Ha, that is hilarious!
I have an off-topic question… What website do you use to host your blog? I recently created a website and I got a domain name but I am looking for a easy to use blog application. Any tips? I am completely computer illiterate!
peanutbutterfingers says
i use bluehost.com, but had seth at boymeetsfood.com help me make the transition. i believe he offers hosting as well. i highly recommend him!
Stefanie says
Thanks 🙂 I’ll definitely look into it!
Leanne says
Hahahaha the picture of “hawk” and Ryan made me laugh so hard!

Healthy Chocoholic says
That’s so weird about your email!!!!!
One of my favorite meat/fruit combos is pork and cherries!!! I actually have a recipe that makes a pork tenderloin stuffed with a cherry reduction!! So tasty!!! I also love turkey and apple..
Rachael says
Hawk as a name could make for some interesting middle school memories – men and their idea of good baby names can be very amusing. My own partner is going through a tree phase, and since we’re trying for a wee one, I’m frightened I might end up with a hardwood moniker for a child!
I get mail – snail mail – for a Victoria Nkhoma. Have for three years, in four different addresses. Very confusing indeed!
Lauren says
Ha, that is so weird! I think AOL may be having an identity crisis.
I love smoked salmon and peaches. It sounds odd but its oh so good!
anonymous says
baby hawk! hahaha too funny, your blog is so cute! thanks for making me smile 😀
Jamie @ Food in Real Life says
Somewhere there is a guy named Daniel who still uses AOL and is also very confused about why his computer thinks he is Julie. And HAWK? That is hilarious. He might feel a little pressured to be a pilot dont’cha think?
Sarah K. @ The Pajama Chef says
oooh that sandwich looks yummy 🙂
Mimi says
Any clue as to why that happened? Not like it’s the worst thing, though. I was supposed to be named Daniel if I was a boy. And, now it’s my boyfriend’s name!
Alyssa says
Haahahaha.. this post made me laugh out loud in the middle of my office. I’m a fan. 🙂 The pizzas look delish!

There are some fascinating points in time in this write-up but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I appear into it further. Good article , thanks and we want a lot more! Added to FeedBurner too
