Eat a butt-ton of vegetables for lunch of course!
I fashioned myself a veggie-packed salad that included butter lettuce, carrots, turkey, cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper and parmesan asiago dressing.
I feel like I have vitamins and nutrients running through my veins right now! Veggie high!
Back to work… but first, some Bachelorette talk…
Let’s Discuss The Bachelorette
As you guys know, I’m quite a fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. I love how many of you seem to share my sick love of these ridiculously fantastic shows and decided to make Tuesday mornings “Bachelorette Discussion Time” on the PBF Facebook page.
We can share our thoughts on the latest episode and declare our intense hatred for Bentley and the masked looney every week. Feel free to stop by and share your thoughts! I’ll be sure to mail a rose to the final commenter. Okay, that was a lie, but definitely stop by if you’re a fanatic like me!
Question of the Afternoon
- What is your favorite t.v. show that’s currently on t.v.?
Parenthood!
HELL no! Its gotta be MODERN FAMILY 🙂
I LOVE the bachelorette! My tv wasn’t working yesterday and I felt like it was a matter of life or death situation when I was talking to the tv guy, luckily we got it fixed, crisis averted! Yea Bentley is um interesting but she really likes him, probably cause he’s not the only one throwing himself at her. I do like mickey though, William started to annoy me with all of his bragging. OH and this is by far my fav show thats currently on!.. Well right up there with so you think you can dance!
I any join the discussion until I catch up on my dvr. Looking forward to it though! 🙂
ahah I LOVE IT! im watching the bachelorette online right now ! literally! they dont air it here so i have to watch online.. sucks! but it sounds like an awesome idea!
So, technically it’s not a TV show, but it might as well be – the best thing on TV right now is the live footage of the Casey Anthony trial! I’ve more sucked into this case than I have been into a reality show!
Have you seen my friend’s dating column that totallllllyyyy tears the show apart? it’s hilarious.
go look! http://www.examiner.com/relationships-in-austin/bachelorette-recap-a-wasted-opportunity
…and I’ll most def be taking part in this discush. I love this plan!
I love that you linked this, Alyssa…. I read the recap last week and just about died. SO funny!
The Real Housewives of OC and NJ! I don’t watch much TV and when I do its usually on Bravo.
I don’t watch the Bachelorette but you are REALLY making me want to, since clearly it sounds intense 🙂
jenna, your new site design looks awesome!
Thanks, Julie!!
The Bachelorette– although Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition (which started last night) was pretty good as well! It’s like the biggest loser, but one episode takes place over the course of a year, so you can see their weight loss success if one episode. I may also like 16 and Pregnant (guilty pleasure…ahh!) 😉
***IN** one episode.
I love love LOVE the Bachelorette!! I didn’t know how I would feel about this season because I didn’t really like Ashley on the Bacelor this season but the boys make up for it! 😉 William is my favorite so far!! I loved how he noticed that she wasissing her bouquet walking down the isle, I feel like most men wouldn’t catch that! As far as Bentley goes, I like the drama he brings to the show but I think he is jut going to end up being another Frank from Ali’s season in the end 🙂
Oops I meant was missing**
I do so miss cable sometimes! We cut it out to save a little $ but we do stream hulu and netflix.
Oh reality tv I miss thee! 😛
I haven’t been watching the Bachelorette this season…I’ve been keeping up with The Killing on AMC, but it’s not nearly as entertaining as reality TV!
You mean currently like, is not cancelled or off the air? In that case…Dexter by FAR.
If you mean that’s playing new episodes right now, So You Think You Can Dance!
yeah i meant currently on tv – not canceled or off the air. 🙂 SYTYCD is a favorite in our household, too!
I mostly watch shows on Bravo — Real Housewives, Top Chef Masters, etc.
I have watched Bach/Bachelorette before but I could never remember to watch it!
I tend to go for either really bad reality TV (16 & Pregnant has me hooked) or really intense dramas (right now I’m OBSESSED with Breaking Bad). I’m thinking about canceling my cable soon though, because I’m never home to watch it! There are too many fun things going on this summer to be sitting around inside watching TV 🙂
I love The Bachelorette! But…I think the whole Bentley and masked guy thing is staged. It’s almost too good for TV…very soap opera like. It kind of makes me mad. I think Bentley is just an actor placed there to hurt Ashley’s feelings. I hope she’s not keeping him, or the masked guy, on there because the producers are telling her to.
i kind of agree about bentley. it’s hard to believe someone can be that evil and drama-inducing naturally.
Agreed, Emily! I think he’s a plant.
I agree too Emily! It seems suuuuper staged, I don’t think anyone would really intentionally go on national TV to say/act that way. Although, I mean, he IS — but I feel like it’s just for ratings. You have to have some drama, right. 🙂
I told myself I wouldn’t get addicted until after finals…but here I am, a week before finals — all caught up
I watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette because I love to make fun of the show. I read Reality Steve’s website so I know the final 4…..want me to tell you?! I love reading his spoilers and then watching it all play out on tv!
The reality shows I do love are Property Virgins, House Hunters, things like that—and I’ll admit, I watched DWTS this season, hello Ralph Macchio!! swoon!
oh i am ALL over reality steve! 😀
I have never watched the Bachelor/Bachelorette, but last night it was on TV in the restaurant I was eating at, and I want to know.. WTF is up with the guy in the Batman mask?! Weird!
I love The Biggest Loser, and basically any show about losing weight. I also love L&O: SVU, Chopped and Weeds. I don’t watch a ton of TV though, so I usually just end up watching reruns!
That salad looks amazing!! 🙂
I’m currently obsessed with Modern Family, Rescue Me, True Blood, Jersey Shore, and South Park. 🙂
i want to get into modern family. i’ve heard it’s amazing! my sister got the first season for christmas, so i need to give it a go!
It is absolutely hysterical. 🙂 It leaves me in stitches after every episode… well worth it!
Modern Family is HYSTERICAL!
Modern Family is just the best, without a doubt – LOVE that show!
I do the same thing after bad weekends. I eat my weight in veggies and fruit. If my math is correct, it all equals out in the end, right?
GLEE! I can’t get enough of that show 🙂
i just put the first season of glee in our nexflix queue! i wonder what ryan will say… 😉
I totally LOLed at you saying Butt Ton 🙂
And can I just say it’s nice to know I can come to your site for healthy recipes, good work out ideas, work out music and so much more. It hit me today that your page is always my go-to for lots of stuff!!
what a nice thing to say! thank you, shelby!
So You Think You Can Dance! Best show on TV.
I said it on Twitter and on your FB post already – but I am really frustrated with the Bachelor’s lack of diversity lately. Everyone looks the same!! Its so boring 🙁
And Bentley’s a jerk, but Ashley should have sent him home when she had the chance.
I too had a weekend full of sweets and not-so-healthy foods! I woke up this morning still feeling ‘off’ from my weekend binge of cookouts and treats. I may need to take a break from dessert this week….crazy, I know!!
SYTYCD! Or as my husband calls it, “Shooby, Shooby, Shooby, Dance…dance…dance,,,,dance”. For the longest time he didn’t know the real name.
I might have to start watching The Bachelorette because all of my favorite shows ended last week: Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Modern Family, and Biggest Loser.
US of Tara & Nurse Jackie & Friday Night Lights & 90210 (yes, there is a new version!)
Oh I never get sick of the Bachelor/Bachelorette. I’m a romantic at heart, so no matter how many couples don’t work out, I still hope for the best. Ali and Roberto = my faves.
My favorite show right now is probably the Bachelorette, but only because there really isn’t anything else on at the moment. I actually kind of like the show after Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. I love that trainer!
I love huge veggie-filled salads! They are THE perfect way to get back on track after an indulgent weekend! 😀
can you believe we just cancelled our cable! Just barely had time to watch any TV and the $ wasn’t worth it! now we have netflix and are obsessed with watching LOST.
I love anything Real Housewives (except for the Atlanta ladies!)
Community!
it is so funny. I found it on netflix and I’m totally addicted.
It’s good, clean, honest humour and I love it.
I also can’t resist watching Say Yes to the Dress when it’s on, as well as Iron Chef America on the food network. i love the food network!
Friday Night Lights, The Office and the Voice! ALSO the new 90210 but that is my very embarrassing secret 🙂
You and I are totally in the same boat, my friend. I also indulged a ton this weekend, as my two best friends were in town! So I’m definitely stepping up the nutrition/veggies this week! Also, said best friends had me watch the Bachelorette season opener – and I’m hooked! So I’ll be frequenting your FB page – sweet! Thanks!
Modern Family, Glee and The Voice!
modern family! sooo good. Bachelorette is turning into a guilty pleasure show though. I don’t admit to many that I watch 🙂
Oh man, so many good shows to choose from! I’m totally addicted to the whole Bachelor/ette series… I just can’t help myself, season after season, I’m hooked!
And I also love Glee, Modern Family and the Good Wife… all of which just ended, so I’ll have to find some new summer faves!
For comedy I would say Parks n Rec and Modern Family
For drama Breaking Bad, Dexter, and True Blood are my favorites!
yum! that salad looks fab! I know exactly how you feel, we went to a wedding this weekend then to a lakehouse and ate our hearts out! I woke up this morning CRAVING fruit and protein!
Most of my favorite TV shows just ended for the summer so the bachelorette is all I’ve been watching on TV. But I’ve been catching up on season three of true blood before season four starts in June. I’m excited for other summer shows like rookie blue and pretty little liars to start too. I love the bachelorette discussions on your Facebook. I read all of them today! 🙂
I love Bethenny Ever After!
I just came home from work and realized I didn’t press record for the bachelorette last night – argh!!
Gossip Girl, hands down!! I’ve actually never seen The Bachelorette…don’t shoot me!
I LOVE the show How I Met Your Mother!
Right now I’m loving The Voice. I also really, really liked Secret Millionaire but it was only on for a couple weeks. I have a million shows I don’t have to tune into because I know there will be nonstop re-runs happening…like Real Housewives or Real World. Ya know, the classy shows!
I love the Soup, and So You Think you Can Dance.
My favorite is How I Met Your Mother. So hilarious. And I love that my teenage sons love it just as much as I do, so we can watch it together.
I would love to share my favorite tv show with you, unfortunately all of my fav shows ended at the same time and now I am left with nothing 🙁 I am vigorously searching for a new show that I like, but have not had any luck.
LOVE the Bachelorette! Glee! Also say yes to the dress is one of my favorites!!
Hmm….Maybe I need to start watching the Bachelor(ette)
My guilty pleasure shows are done for the season.
Definitely woke up with a food hangover after this long weekend. Grilled veggies for dinner! 🙂
