I did a little baking tonight.
Can you guess what I made?
Mmm. Peanut butter.
Tonight I whipped up a batch of flourless peanut butter cookies for Jessica, the wonderful woman who bid on my cookies through Tina’s charity blog bake sale.
Now I’m not one to eat other people’s food, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist nibbling on these cookies, so I made sure to bake half of a batch for me and Ryan to enjoy.
I baked the cookies on a Silpat, the most amazing non-stick baking mat that my friend Merri introduced to me.
I flippin’ love this thing!
The cookies slide off the mat so easily and clean up is a breeze.
Once the cookies were cooled, it was time to enjoy one… or five.
What? They were small…
I had to put a lid on the cookies to stop myself from eating my body weight in these bad boys!
Guess who else likes these cookies?
She’s a huge peanut butter fan just like her mama, though she doesn’t appreciate it when you smear peanut butter on the roof of her mouth and laugh as she tries to get it off.
I ended up eating so many cookies and a significant amount of dough that I basically ruined my appetite for dinner.
I still managed to eat half of a stuffed pepper right out of the Tupperware to get something nutritious in my belly.
After enjoying my cookies and pepper, Ryan and I spent the evening catching up with our friends Dru and Carrie who came over to hang out and answer the bazillion questions we had for them about their recent engagement and upcoming wedding.
They got engaged last week and it was fun to talk to them and hear the excitement in their voices!
Dru and Carrie just left and now we’re unwinding a bit before heading into bed.
Hooray for Friday tomorrow! 😀
Your handwriting is adorable as you are! I can’t stand it! Heehee 😀
Those cookies look bomb. And the little hand written lid is seriously, so stinkin’ cute.
i love the pb on the dog’s mouth trick…we wouldn’t do it if they weren’t so darn cute, right? 🙂
haha we totally do the same thing to toby – put peanut butter on the roof of his mouth and laugh while he licks it off for the next 20 minutes. dogs are endless entertainment!!
cute little container! looks like you put lots of love into it 🙂
I tweeted about making these cookies last night, and as of this evening, my hubby and I have finished off our batch! Yum! Looking forward to making some more of your recipes!
Looks absolutely delicious!
My dog loves peanut butter too! She salivates next to my feet anytime I open the jar.
We usually shove some in a Kong Wubba and it keeps her busy for hours!
I make those peanut butter cookies all the time and I always eat like 8 (thousand) of them. Peanut butter and sugar…no better combination.
I love love love flourless peanut butter cookies. Absolutely genius 😀 Sadie wants you to share, she told me through her eyes 😉 haha. Enjoy your night Julie!
I always spoil my meal if I end of baking something too. Ooops! hehe
That is the most adorable picture of Sadie yet! She looks so innocent 😀
I just wanted to say that this recipe is foul proof!! I just made it with 15 ESL students in China where all we had was peanut butter, sugar and eggs and a bowl. Without measuring any ingredients they turned out delicious!! Amazing.
I just came across your blog and I love it!!! Those cookies look yummy. I can’t wait to read more!
i flippin love my silpat mat, too! they are the best!
its pretty standard for me to ruin my appetite after baking. byt thats okay with me!
i feel like the process of baking is dinner, with all the tastes, and then the enjoyment of the final product is dessert 🙂 i am trying these cookies, FINALLY!
Sadie looks flippin adorable (as always). I can’t wait to make those cookies, Maybe for my brother’s birthday which is Sept 28th. He’s a big PB fan.
Your cookies look and sound delish!
Haha, we do that with our dogs too 🙂 These look perfect!
Haha! Sadie is adorable! And I don’t even need to mention how scrumptious those cookies look. Peanut butter in any form is always welcome in my belly!
Any time I do baking it ends up turning into an entire meal. With the combination of irresistable dough and warm gooey cookies, I’m never hungry by the time I’m finished.
Nothing wrong with eating mostly cookies for supper! 😉
awww sadie looks so cute here!
I love how you decorated the container, so pretty! 🙂 And the cookies look sooooo good, please send me a million! 😉 haha!
Sadie is so adorable! I just can’t get over how sweet looking she is. 🙂
I’m smiley face happy today, sorry!
I love using a silpat… I don’t know the technology behind it, but my cookies are 10 times better when I bake with it!
Yum, I baked “lemon sugar cookies” & “peanut butter chocolate pretzel crunch cookies” last night…I managed to escape without eating any, but I see one in my future today 😉
Girl, it happens to the best of us 😉 In fact I had exactly the same dinner (flourless pb cookies) a little while ago… supplemented with some carrots for good measure. Dinner of champions!!
I totally need to buy some of those Silpats!
I made the peanut butter cookies last night after reading your blog and they were GREAT! I added a touch of honey because one of the things I love is peanut butter and honey sandwiches (you should try if you haven’t, my husband loves these made on bread that has been lightly toasted although I think I prefer non-toasted). Thanks for the recipe!
Jeez and I thought I had nice handwriting! 😉 I NEED to make your flourless PB cookies – have you ever tried them with Dark Chocolate Dreams PB? That would probably be good…
