Some of you out there may already know Jasmine as the blogger who created Eat, Move, Write, but she is also the jewelry designer behind bama + ry.
If you visit the bama + ry shop on Etsy and read the “About” page, you will find Jasmine’s heartbreaking story. After years of infertility, Jasmine suffered a miscarriage and lost her precious twins.
In Jasmine’s words:
“In many ways, this shop was born the moment I miscarried our twins this past February. I’ve always dreamt of two things: creating for a living and becoming a mother. I’ve learned, though, that there are things you can control and things you cannot. So, with this shop, bama + ry, I’m putting my energy into something that I can control. And, for the rest, I will put my wishes out to the universe and just let.it.go.”
Jasmine creates jewelry that is personalized, rustic and made from copper and nickel silver. All of her jewelry is created by hand – the pounding of the metal, positioning of the letters and customization.
She also creates jewelry especially for those who have gone through the pain of a miscarriage, including a this necklace and this necklace.
When Jasmine reached out to me about spreading the word about her handmade jewelry, I was immediately touched by her story and had to share it with all of you. Jasmine made me a beautiful personalized initial cuff that I absolutely adore.
It’s gorgeous on its own or layered with a watch or other bracelets.
If you’re a runner, you might be interested in one of her running-themed necklaces or charms!

hard to pick!!! I have said this to my soon to be MIL several times, so I think that’s fate telling me I should pick a gift and go with: http://www.etsy.com/listing/150093105/wedding-mother-in-law-gift-father-in-law?ref=shop_home_feat (esp since her husband passed away last summer…the wedding will be a bit shy of two years from his death and I am worried it’ll be a day of so many mixed emotions….the piece would be an added item on the happy side!).
But, I confess, I’d be torn since i’d also want something for me!
I also liked the site on FB (I never do that, but I really DO like the pieces and her story and want to win!!!)

Hi Julie!
I recently discovered your blog (one month ago) while google-ing information on half marathons- I am running my first at the beginning of July! I literally read your blog everyday on my break as a nice pick me up; one that I look forward to! So thank you for your positive and enthusiastic energy 🙂
Jasmine’s work is beautiful, you can tell by the pictures that she has put a lot of herself into these works of art. I would be wonderfully overwhelmed to have the privilege to wear one of her necklaces- the pendant with any inspiration saying on it. I would choose this because the necklace falls close to my heart to remind me of the love and support of my close-knit family. And, the saying as a reminder that my move across the country to attend university, to conduct science research one day, is not in vain and that my hard work is fueled by my dream to do good in this world! I have spent the last hour looking through her website and Facebook page (which I liked) and want to buy so many things for my family!! I would be honored to sport her work.
Have a great weekend at the wedding 🙂
I like the ‘fuel by caffeine and dreams’ or the LAX necklace!
I am following bama + ry on twitter!
I would love the be the good necklace! Such a great reminder!
