Some of you out there may already know Jasmine as the blogger who created Eat, Move, Write, but she is also the jewelry designer behind bama + ry.
If you visit the bama + ry shop on Etsy and read the “About” page, you will find Jasmine’s heartbreaking story. After years of infertility, Jasmine suffered a miscarriage and lost her precious twins.
In Jasmine’s words:
“In many ways, this shop was born the moment I miscarried our twins this past February. I’ve always dreamt of two things: creating for a living and becoming a mother. I’ve learned, though, that there are things you can control and things you cannot. So, with this shop, bama + ry, I’m putting my energy into something that I can control. And, for the rest, I will put my wishes out to the universe and just let.it.go.”
Jasmine creates jewelry that is personalized, rustic and made from copper and nickel silver. All of her jewelry is created by hand – the pounding of the metal, positioning of the letters and customization.
She also creates jewelry especially for those who have gone through the pain of a miscarriage, including a this necklace and this necklace.
When Jasmine reached out to me about spreading the word about her handmade jewelry, I was immediately touched by her story and had to share it with all of you. Jasmine made me a beautiful personalized initial cuff that I absolutely adore.
It’s gorgeous on its own or layered with a watch or other bracelets.

While I am expecting my first child this summer, when I clicked the link for the miscarriage necklace, it brought me to tears. After a couple of losses myself, I have never been able to find something that spoke so directly to how I felt about those losses. I immediately went to the site and purchased the “Someone I love was never born” necklace. If I could, I would buy more for my good friends that have also suffered from a miscarriage or few.
I like the pounded copper necklace.
I lost my hair a few years ago and would LOVE a necklace or bracelet with a phrase about inner beauty. It would always remind me of how much everyone admires my inner qualities more than anything else 🙂
I really like the Strength necklace in copper, but the Be Kinder Than Necessary necklace is great too…. AH! I can’t choose! It’s so hard!
And I just saw the Bookworm Chic necklace too…. Gah! I am such book nerd too…
I liked the Facebook page as well.
The “Without Fear” necklace really speaks to me. I lost my first baby just a few weeks ago at 14 weeks. I really sympathize with jasmine’s story as I struggled with infertility myself. Now I’m facing my fears and am going to try to become pregnant again. Thank you for showcasing her website!
My friend, my principal, is going through a hard time now dealing with breast cancer. I would love something that is inspirational for her.

I would love a charm (or two) with the initials of the two men in my life: my husband and my 9 month old baby, C + J.
If I could get one of these necklaces I’d get the one for miscarriages. My first cousin has had two miscarriages since she had her first baby. It’s really sad what she had to go through and I know she’d love one of these as a surprise. 🙂
I LOVE that 13.1 pendant!!
