Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

I’ve really become a big fan of greek yogurt with a bit of granola stirred in. I’m also a huge fan of trail mix (particularly the varieties that include chocolate haha)
I am obsessed with fage greek yogurt for snacks but I also love putting pizza sauce and some 2% mozzerella on a whole wheat tortilla and heating it in the oven. Yum 🙂

In the summer I love to cut open an avocado, sprinkle it with a bit of sea salt and eat it with a spoon -mmm.
In the winter one of my favorite snacks is actually a bowl of roasted veggies! I keep squash and carrots on deck at all times in case a snack craving hits. Apples are another go to too 😀

My favorite healthy snack recently has been kiwi! I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. I typically eat an apple as an afternoon snack everyday, but I have really been enjoying interchanging my apple with a kiwi!
