Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    Lately I’ve been eating almond butter with everything! Sandwiches, with pretzels, and by the spoonful!

    Wow so many comments so far! My favourite healthy snack is either almond butter with some dates, or the classic standby peanut butter and banana! (I would love to win I have been looking to get a Camelback to replace a Sigg bottle I lost)

    I live for hummus and carrot sticks (not baby carrots, but good ol’ fashioned cut up carrot sticks) and red peppers.

    Favorite snack?! I don’t have just one! But for late night crunchy munchies, really love making kale chips for something healthy with a huge crunch sound! So satisfying 😀

    My go to snack is usually an apple and some dairy (greek yogurt, string cheese, cottage cheese)
    My fave though? Nuts! Nuts! Nuts! I love snacking on them and crave them when I haven’t had them for a long time. I have a problem with eating more than half the container in one sitting, though, and I usually have to keep them away from me. Same with nut butters. :”)

    My favorite is anything with hummus…carrots, green peppers, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, etc. A close second is cottage cheese with peaches 🙂

    My favorite snack would be Trader Joe’s whole wheat bread. I take 1 slice and toast it, then I mash 1/2 of an avocado while the bread is still warm and drizzle only a LITTLE sriracha sauce for a kick. Its a perfect mixture of carbs and fats and the avocado taste so good when it is slightly warm from the toast. Its a great healthy, creamy, salty snack, you must try it you would love it!

    What a great giveaway! 🙂 My favorite healthy snack is sliced avocado with a little sea salt and lots of lime juice! I often eat it for breakfast with a slice of multigrain bread! Yummy!
