Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

My favorite healthy snack is a small bowl of protein oats made with Sunwarrior vanilla protein and rolled oats. It’s a great afternoon snack to keep me from getting too grabby with food before dinnertime.

Um, favorite healthy snack… I like to buy just a bag of frozen mango pieces for smoothies and usually make like 2 smoothies and eat the rest for a “snack”. A little sweetness that is much better than a cookie.
Hummus with carrots and cucumbers…which is what I’m having now! 🙂
My fave healthy snack is actually popcorn. I have celiacs. I pop my popcorn on the stove top and season sweet or savory…. I typically have this snack between unhealthy / less-healthy snacks like ICE CREAM 🙂

My favorite healthy snack is mini yogurt parfaits. Right now my fave combo is plain lf yogurt w/ vanilla extract, scoop of peanut butter, and dry rolled oats. Mix it all up and it tastes like peanut butter cookie dough!

Chocolate PB “pudding” – whipped cottage cheese, chocolate casein powder, unsweetened chocolate almond milk, peanut butter. Mix until pudding like textured. It’s like reese’s pudding heaven!
I have such a sweet tooth, and berries always satisfy a craving for something sweet for me, while still being healthy.

My favorite healthy snacks are Chobani yogurt and apple slices with peanut butter.
My absolute favorite healthy snack mashed avocado and tuna mixed with chopped red onions and tomatoes, hot sauce and a squirt of lemon juice. Its fantastic with crackers, apple slices, on a sandwich or just with a spoon. Can’t get enough of it and it keeps me nice and full!
