What a fun day on the water!
Can you tell Sadie had a blast?
She is a boat dog for sure.
The minute my dad started prepping the boat for our day on the water, Sadie was running around like a wild dog, wagging her tail and jumping in and out of the boat until we finally left the dock.
She also was apparently trying to cause a nip slip on the blog…
She said it would be great for page views. 
She’s a sassy little thing, huh?
My dad, mom, sister, Ryan, Sadie and I took the boat all around Tampa Bay and down the intercoastal to Longboat Key where we docked the boat and met up with Ryan’s dad for lunch at Mar Vista.
The restaurant is a hidden gem right along the water that Ryan and his dad recommended to my family.
Their recommendation was spot on because the food was fantastic…
As were the mojitos!
Our cups were sweating almost as much as we were. It was HOT out there, but the fans offered a nice breeze.
We hung out and enjoyed our food and had a great time visiting with Ryan’s dad until some ominous clouds told us it was time to head back.
The ride back went quickly and we had fun dancing in the boat to “Party Rock.” You better believe my parents have some moves! 
Eventually we made it back to our house and my dad pulled up the crab trap hanging off our dock to check for some crabs before we headed inside.
We had some winners!
We set the crabs (and two fish!) free, much to Sadie’s chagrin.
And now it’s shower time! I’m a mess!

Boating is my fave! I love being on the water. Good thing Sadie loves boating too, she needs to be a boat lover with owners like you guys!
I love how Sadie’s giant tongue just hangs out the side of her mouth. She looks ridiculously happy on that boat.
Looks like a perfect day! I’m chuckling over “nip slip.” Sounds like something my sister and I would say. Does Sadie ever try to drink the bay water? Our pup is experiencing the beach for the first time this year and we can’t figure out how to teach him to PLAY in the water, not drink it!
