Good morning! It’s not even 8 a.m. and I’ve been rushing around like crazy today.
- 4:45 a.m. – Alarm
- 5 a.m. – Drive to gym
- 5:15 a.m. – Spinning
- 6:15 a.m. – Shower and get ready at the gym
- 6:45 a.m. – Drive Ryan to work
- 7:15 a.m. – Breakfast + blog
- 8 a.m. – Work!
Before I went to bed last night, I knew this morning would be a little hectic. I need to be in Oviedo by 4 p.m. today for Laurel and John’s wedding rehearsal and since my work is closer to Ryan’s work than our house (we live in the middle of nowhere), we figured it would logistically make sense for me to leave straight from work and pick him up and head out rather than backtrack and meet up at home. Our plan made for a lot of scrambling around this morning, but hopefully it will make us punctual this afternoon!
Workout + Breakfast
As you can see above, my workout today included a spinning class at the gym. The instructor incorporated a lot of sprints which I loved and hated at the same time. They’re tough and I was nice and sweaty by the time the class ended. “Sweet Nothing” is a great spinning song!
After I dropped Ryan off at work, I drove back to the gym and set up my computer in the break room so I could blog and eat breakfast at the same time. Since I feel a little goofy snapping food pics in the break room (I’m sure I’ll feel more comfortable in time), today’s breakfast picture is actually one I snapped of a late afternoon snack earlier this week. Since I’m eating the same thing for breakfast today, I figured it works!
Peanut butter + Honey + Toasted whole wheat English muffin
Bridesmaid Hair
Though I opted out of having my makeup done for Laurel’s wedding tomorrow (after the makeup drama that occurred on my wedding day, I am still apprehensive to let anyone do my makeup), I will be getting my hair done with the other bridesmaids and am currently torn between a few different ‘dos.
Option One: This one looks like “undone elegance” to me!
(Source)
Option Two: If I choose this one, I would ask for half of it pinned back away from my face. I’m also 99 percent sure I don’t have enough hair to make this work.
(Source)
Option Three: My current front-runner!
(Source)
Option Four: I think this one might be hard to recreate in my hair without it looking too sloppy for a wedding.
(Source)
Option Five: I’m also considering having my hair done in the same way I had it done for my friend Leah’s wedding a while ago.
I think it may be a game time decision!
Question of the Morning
Which hairstyle do you like the best?
Definitely NÚMERO UNO. Have fun choosing!
I agree.. #1 is gorgeous.
Option 3 or option 5!! It’s nice when you know a hairstyle works and you already love it. although number 3 is soo pretty too. the good news is that you cant go wrong. number 2 is simple, easy and elegant too…
I agree. Option 1 for sure! 🙂
Number one!!!
I rarely eat peanut butter in the mornings and every time I see your pb pictures in the morning I get the worst craving! I like option number one best! I think Option 3, the current front runner runs the risk of looking a bit like a mullet if done incorrectly. Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂
Lol!! I see what you’re saying! 🙂
I like option one….though the way you had it at Leah’s wedding is gorgeous too!
I love option 1! So classy looking. 🙂
I like option 1 the best. Option 3 is second place. I don’t think you should re-do the same style that you wore in another wedding, just because its fun to try something new and different. No matter what, I’m sure you will look gorgeous and have an unforgettable wedding weekend!
I like #5 the best! Suits you, and just looks really pretty! Plus, you already know how to do it, and that it will turn out 🙂
Definitely option 1 or 3! Super classy 🙂
I love the simple waves. They are stunning. But I agree that I would want my hair pinned back out of my face. HAVE FUN!!
Having morning’s like that always gets my adrenaline pumping which is necessary in order to power through. An early morning spin class is a great way to start the day and get ready for the rush!
I love option 1 and 3. Have fun!
I did something like option 2 for a wedding I was in last weekend- but took two side pieces and braided them and knotted them in the back! It was super cute and stayed up all night 🙂
I vote number one!
Option one is beautiful! I actually had that same picture pinned as a possible for my wedding day hair. Very soft and romantic but elegant at the same time. I guess it also depends on what your dress looks like 🙂
Love Option #1 & #4!!!
Have a blast! Sounds like a busy and productive day already! I definitely make game time decisions on hair for important events. I usually have multiple options and then ask the hairdresser what she recommends and what she thinks she can do!
I LOVE number one!
Love option 3! Also, the hairdo that you wore at the previous wedding was beautiful too! Have fun tonight!!
I vote #1 or #5! I’m sure you’ll look great with whichever you choose though! Have a fun weekend! 🙂
# 3 def. Good luck with your busy day! 😀
Option three
I would pick one, three, or five… I can’t decide! Ahh, I love weddings 🙂
Option two is my fav. I love big beach waves!
Option 1!
I love 1 and 5 🙂
It looks like #3 is pretty popular, but i have to say I love option #1. I like having my hair out of my face during weddings, especially in these warmer months. It tends to make for less awkward moving the hair out of my face snapshots.
I’m torn between option 1 and 3 but I since I really love your hair in option 4, i’m leaning towards option 3 – similar but a bit different and fun. 🙂
#1 is gorgeous!
Loooove option 1!!! :))
Peanut butter (or any nut butter!) and honey is one of my favorite combinations. (And, no surprise, Justin’s honey almond butter is hands-down one of my favorite foods of all time.)
Ahhh is all of them an acceptable answer? They’re all so pretty! My favs would probably be 3 and 4. I love the messier-I-look-like-I-don’t-care-but-still-look-really-nice styles!
1 and 5! But have fun – any one will be good. Your stylist’s thoughts on what she can do best should be a consideration. 🙂
Number 1!!!
I like option #1, especially if its going to be warm outside. And your hair also looked really pretty at the other wedding so that would be my second choice.
Number 1 or 4!
I like option 3 a lot. Maybe a full updo instead of just the half though.
I’d go with option 1. If it’s going to be hot outside, you don’t want your hair down your neck. Also, as the night goes on, you’re hair is going to fall a bit, so I’d suggest having it up in a way that’ll make it still look lovely as ever!
Option 1.
Wow…you have had a super busy a.m., but it sounds like it’ll be a fun weekend.
I like option 3. It’s fun and edgey, but still has a sophisticated look.
That does sound like a crazy morning! I like the first one the best too. I contemplated a few of these styles for my sister for my wedding but couldn’t get any of them to stay for longer than 5 minutes! Hope you have fun!
I totally vote #1! It’s beautiful, fun and will keep your hair off your face and out of the way.. thus you can forget about how it looks all day! Definitely number 1!
I like the poofs in 1,3, and 4. Have we seen your bridesmaid’s dress? because the hair totally depends on the straps and look of the dress..
I love the first hairdo! It’s very cute:)
Love love LOVE Option #3! The Beauty Department puts out some beautiful hairstyles and truly useful tips. I love everything they post.
I did my hair similar to option one last weekend for a wedding and loved it! It made for the hot humidity to be a little more bearable and stayed put for some major dancing! 😉 Ok, I can’t really dance…so it was more like flailing around, but either way…I loved it! You will be beautiful no matter which one you go with though! Hope you have a great weekend!
Option 1! I wish I had hair long enough to do that!
I vote option 3 because your hair looked really cute in option 5 and I think it would be a subtle, fun update for you! 🙂 Love having hair done for weddings! Have a great time!
One or four . Three (and others like it) looks like something is stuck up under there. Not a fan.
The Kidless Kronicles
#1 ! It’s classy and out of your face. There is nothing worse than worrying about hair not “holding up” when it’s down or having it get in your face. #1 seems really fun and classy!
option #1 is definitely my favorite! I wish I could wear my hair like that every day!
