Good morning! It’s not even 8 a.m. and I’ve been rushing around like crazy today.
- 4:45 a.m. – Alarm
- 5 a.m. – Drive to gym
- 5:15 a.m. – Spinning
- 6:15 a.m. – Shower and get ready at the gym
- 6:45 a.m. – Drive Ryan to work
- 7:15 a.m. – Breakfast + blog
- 8 a.m. – Work!
Before I went to bed last night, I knew this morning would be a little hectic. I need to be in Oviedo by 4 p.m. today for Laurel and John’s wedding rehearsal and since my work is closer to Ryan’s work than our house (we live in the middle of nowhere), we figured it would logistically make sense for me to leave straight from work and pick him up and head out rather than backtrack and meet up at home. Our plan made for a lot of scrambling around this morning, but hopefully it will make us punctual this afternoon!
Workout + Breakfast
As you can see above, my workout today included a spinning class at the gym. The instructor incorporated a lot of sprints which I loved and hated at the same time. They’re tough and I was nice and sweaty by the time the class ended. “Sweet Nothing” is a great spinning song!
After I dropped Ryan off at work, I drove back to the gym and set up my computer in the break room so I could blog and eat breakfast at the same time. Since I feel a little goofy snapping food pics in the break room (I’m sure I’ll feel more comfortable in time), today’s breakfast picture is actually one I snapped of a late afternoon snack earlier this week. Since I’m eating the same thing for breakfast today, I figured it works!
Peanut butter + Honey + Toasted whole wheat English muffin
Bridesmaid Hair
Though I opted out of having my makeup done for Laurel’s wedding tomorrow (after the makeup drama that occurred on my wedding day, I am still apprehensive to let anyone do my makeup), I will be getting my hair done with the other bridesmaids and am currently torn between a few different ‘dos.
Option One: This one looks like “undone elegance” to me!
(Source)
Option Two: If I choose this one, I would ask for half of it pinned back away from my face. I’m also 99 percent sure I don’t have enough hair to make this work.
(Source)
Option Three: My current front-runner!
(Source)
Option Four: I think this one might be hard to recreate in my hair without it looking too sloppy for a wedding.
(Source)
Option Five: I’m also considering having my hair done in the same way I had it done for my friend Leah’s wedding a while ago.
I think it may be a game time decision!
Question of the Morning
Which hairstyle do you like the best?
Meagan K says
My GOODNESS you were super productive before 8a.m. today! MY vote is for option 1! Now time for my workout, thanks for the motivation this morning!
Amanda @DamandaLynn says
Hey Julie!
I think you will be beautiful no matter what style you choose. However, I like to dance and I know you do as well. That said, any hairstyle that can be pulled up or to the side gets my vote because it is so nice to have fresh air on your neck when dancing up a sweat!!
I like the last one and the first, have fun!
Becky @ Olives n Wine says
Oooh, I like option 1 the best! It is so pretty and easily swept back in case you get too warm dancing 😉
Marissa says
I vote for option #3!
Elisabeth says
Option one is adorable!!!

Option 3 looks like fun. It’s always nice to do something different every once and awhile. Have fun at the wedding!
Hayley @ Running on Pumpkin says
I love option 1 or 3 – and obviously the one you did for your other friend’s wedding, but it would be fun to get something new! You will look gorgeous either way 🙂 Have fun!

Kelly @ Running Wild says
#1 or #3! They’re all gorgeous though. It’s the best getting your hair done, I would have no idea how to create those styles myself.
Carleigh says
I think that option 1 is beautiful and elegant! It looks perfect for a wedding!
Chelsie says

I LOVE that piece of pony!!!
Ashley says
Love option #1
Christine@ Apple of My Eye says
I love option #1! So elegant and beautiful. I think that option #2 might fall out pretty quickly if you have naturally straight hair, especially if you start dancing.
Beth Sheridan says
I really like all of those styles…I know I would definitely pick option 4 for my own hair since my hair holds a style VERY well and that one is SUPER cute. I’ve never liked my hair half pulled back so I don’t think I could do that, but I really like your hair in option 5! Pick whichever one you will be most comfortable with and you’ll have a great time 🙂
gabrielle says
I love them all but I tthink the first one is my favorite!! Also if it’s super hot outside it’ll be nice not to have any hair on your neck haha enjoy the wedding!!
Lauren says
I like option three or option one. If the bride is having her hair up, I would do one with your hair down and vice versa!
Lianna says
I like the first (“undone elegance”) option! You will look fabulous in whichever you choose. 🙂
Ashley Mitchell says
Option 1!

I actually really like option 1, but don’t have second thoughts, you will look great regardless. After my last bridesmaid experience of having my make-up done I will never do it again. Wow.

Andrea B. says
I love option 1! But they are all great options. You will look fabulous!

Oh my gosh I’m the same way about taking pictures of my food! Around people I don’t know well I always get so selfconscience. How do you get past that?
Erika says
I like #3
Have fun this weekend!
Anna Leeson says
Option 1 🙂
Lindsey says
They are all great choices! Option 1 seems like the easiest to maintain if you spend time on the dance floor!
Cassie J says
I love option 1!
Melanie says
My vote is for Undone Elegance. I know, I know, I always have to be the rebel.
Nancy says
I really like option 3, but option 1 is so pretty as well.
Can I ask what time you go to bed if you wake up at 4-something in the morning? Do you eat anything before going to the gym? I’ve been waking up a few hours before heading into work as well, but I’ve been doing dishes from the previous night and playing with my Pomeranian – and saving the workouts for when I’m feeling more alert (after work). 🙂
Katie says
I love options 1 and 2.
