Good morning! It’s not even 8 a.m. and I’ve been rushing around like crazy today.
- 4:45 a.m. – Alarm
- 5 a.m. – Drive to gym
- 5:15 a.m. – Spinning
- 6:15 a.m. – Shower and get ready at the gym
- 6:45 a.m. – Drive Ryan to work
- 7:15 a.m. – Breakfast + blog
- 8 a.m. – Work!
Before I went to bed last night, I knew this morning would be a little hectic. I need to be in Oviedo by 4 p.m. today for Laurel and John’s wedding rehearsal and since my work is closer to Ryan’s work than our house (we live in the middle of nowhere), we figured it would logistically make sense for me to leave straight from work and pick him up and head out rather than backtrack and meet up at home. Our plan made for a lot of scrambling around this morning, but hopefully it will make us punctual this afternoon!
Workout + Breakfast
As you can see above, my workout today included a spinning class at the gym. The instructor incorporated a lot of sprints which I loved and hated at the same time. They’re tough and I was nice and sweaty by the time the class ended. “Sweet Nothing” is a great spinning song!
After I dropped Ryan off at work, I drove back to the gym and set up my computer in the break room so I could blog and eat breakfast at the same time. Since I feel a little goofy snapping food pics in the break room (I’m sure I’ll feel more comfortable in time), today’s breakfast picture is actually one I snapped of a late afternoon snack earlier this week. Since I’m eating the same thing for breakfast today, I figured it works!
Peanut butter + Honey + Toasted whole wheat English muffin
Bridesmaid Hair
Though I opted out of having my makeup done for Laurel’s wedding tomorrow (after the makeup drama that occurred on my wedding day, I am still apprehensive to let anyone do my makeup), I will be getting my hair done with the other bridesmaids and am currently torn between a few different ‘dos.
Option One: This one looks like “undone elegance” to me!
(Source)
Option Two: If I choose this one, I would ask for half of it pinned back away from my face. I’m also 99 percent sure I don’t have enough hair to make this work.
(Source)
Option Three: My current front-runner!
(Source)
Option Four: I think this one might be hard to recreate in my hair without it looking too sloppy for a wedding.
(Source)
Option Five: I’m also considering having my hair done in the same way I had it done for my friend Leah’s wedding a while ago.
I think it may be a game time decision!
Question of the Morning
Which hairstyle do you like the best?
Melissa says
Option 1!
emily says
number 3 or 5 !! 🙂
emily says
#3 or #5
Sara says
My SIL did option 1 for my wedding! I like that or the one you did before. That piece of pony one might no translate so well especially since you said you have thinner hair it may look like an accident or a scrawny pony if that makes sense?
Cate says
I love option #1!
Jen @ Chocolate Chips & Tricep Dips says
I love #1!!!
Erica @ For the Sake of Cake says
I like option #3!
Kelsie says
I love your blog (especially your Sadie posts), and this reminded me of some of your posts: http://www.buzzfeed.com/newu1085/21-dogs-who-dont-realize-how-big-they-are-654m.
I also like option 3 the best 🙂
Alison says
Option one or three!
Sara @ Fitcupcaker says
I like 1 and 3 elegant and simple!
Lisa says
Definitely one! Simply stunning! Especially for a bridesmaids hair! You don’t want to out stage the bride, so I think up-do’s are always appropriate for bridesmaids!
Anais says
I really love Option #1 and Option #5, but I really think it depends on how the Bride is wearing her hair. If she is wearing her hair up, then bridesmaids should wear it down or “down-ish”, if she is wearing it up, then an up-do would work well for the bridesmaids. Anyway you wear your hair, you’re going to look beautiful! Enjoy the wedding 🙂
Katie says
I’m loving how simple the first option is, but your hair looks pretty awesome in your last picture!
Tiffany says
I love Kate from the Small Things Blog, so my vote is for #1! Kate will never steer you wrong!
Sara says
I love 1 or 4. I also love 2 but I have a lot of hair
Kaitlyn says
Option 3 or 5! You’re hair looks beautiful in number 5!
Mariève says
Option 3 ♥ have a wonderful weekend!
Sandi says
All of the options you like are stunning. Whatever the bride wants is the easy choice lol! And I think it depends on the dress too. My husband also prefers me with out make up ya for us! Now I am so used to it, I feel so goofy when I try to put on a little for a natural look for a special occasion. Have a fun weekend! Looking forward to the posts!
victoria @ reluctantlyskinny says
I love your front runner, plus the one that you wore for the other wedding. I love side ponytails – I wore my hair like that when I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding last year. maybe you can combine the 2 and wear it off to the side…
Natalie @ Free Range Human says
I love #1. It’s beautiful!
Kate says
Option 1, gorgeous and would work well, I had a similar style for my wedding and my hair is really fine like yours.
Melissa @Forloveandtravel says
Looks like you’ve picked out some great options. I really like option 1, maybe I can do that for my best friends wedding. Can’t wait to see what you decide on. Have fun this weekend.
Rhonda says
3 simple and elegant!!! 🙂
Sally says
I love option #1 and think it would look very sweet on you:) Have fun at the wedding!
Jos says
Your hair in option 5 is beautiful but I would go for option 2! I’m a sucker for curls:)
Sarah says
I like 1 or 3, mainly 3 because it’s different 🙂 but the more hair you have up the less you have to worry about humidity! Winning!
Heather says
Hi Julie!
Option 1 is perfect! I had something similar to option 4 for my best friend’s Colorado Mountain-top wedding last winter (I have long, straight, blonde hair) and it was too messy and actually fell out by the reception.
Have a wonderful time at the wedding 🙂

Nicole says
#1! Winning!
Brittany @ Balance and Bananas says
I LOVE LOVE LOVE option 1!!! But all would be pretty on you!!
Andrea D. says
Number 1 or number 3 would look great on you! Definitely a good idea to have your hair up and pinned back at a wedding so you can dance the night away. Have a great time! 🙂
PluvK says
Option #1 would look nice on you! It’s very pretty! I can’t believe you are able to wake up so early. I am the grumpiest person if I wake up before 6:00 and in desperate need of a nap by 1:30!
Abby says
Number 3 for sure Julie!! The first is “ok” but could end up looking sloppy while the third is very elegant and I think it’s very you (: You’ll look gorgeous either way I am sure.
Jasmine says
Option #1 !!!
kendra @ http://www.kennygump.com/ says

michelle kim says
I like the third or fourth one. More towards #3.
Jennifer says
Numbers 1 or 3!!! (Not 2-everyone else will look like this and will be messy later). Have fun!
Court Star @ StarSystemz says
I love #3! So beautiful! Love + Shine CourtStar
Heather says
1!
Jeanie @ Breakfast for Dinner says
I adore option one!!! In fact, I may “borrow” that idea for my a wedding I am in this July 13th! I prefer pinned back hair for summer weddings because I always seem to be hot as the day progresses. Good luck with everything:)
