Today kicked off phase three of Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp.
At first glance the workout loosely reminded me of the LiveFit program that focused a lot on heavy weights and I worried that I would get bored waiting around in between sets of each exercise.
Have no fear!
Tina’s workout kept things moving quickly because she added drop sets and bursts of active recovery in between sets to keep boredom at bay. There was no standing around, that’s for sure!
Last night when I downloaded the workouts, I thought phase three wouldn’t be my favorite, but I ended up really enjoying today’s total body workout and the way it challenged my muscles. Another winner from Tina!
Breakfast
I often create meals around a craving and today parmesan cheese was calling to me from the fridge, so I figured out a way to incorporate it into my morning meal.
I made a bowl of scrambled eggs with three eggs, onion, steamed broccoli and lots of parmesan cheese.
Plus a hot mug of coffee and a banana on the side!
Celebrity Life Saver
Last night as I sat on the floor crafting in our living room, Ryan flipped through the channels and noticed that Armageddon was on television.
I could not stop laughing when he said, “You know, if an asteroid really were coming toward earth, I think I’d want Bruce Willis to be the one to try to save us.”
We then started discussing which celebrity we’d actually want to rely on in a dire situation. My mind kept going back to Denzel Washington, for no real reason other than the fact that he seems intelligent, athletic and mentally stable.
Now I ask you…
Question of the Morning
- If you had to rely on one celebrity to save your life in a dire situation, who would you choose?

Hi! This has absolutely nothing to do with this post but I had a PBFingers packed workout (in a way…). I ran 7 miles and at one point i felt myself fading until “Be Our Guest” from beauty and the beast came on and it kicked my butt back to high gear. Not only that, but i was lip-sinking (and maybe singing out loud/belting) the words and immediately thought of you and your posts about your musical/disney related playlists. After that I went to the gym to do some weight lifting. I originally planned to do upper body but randomly thought of your blog and did 100 squats in a row!
Love your blog and i look forward to reading each new post everyday!

Ryan Gosling. Hands down. He can save me, then we can pretend we are in The Notebook together.
If he’s not available for saving, I chooseeeeeeee George Clooney. I feel like he’s capable.
Erin @ The Grass Skirt says
I believe that Ryan Gosling could save me, and I’d also trust Matt Damon. He’s not the bigggest guy, but he’s bound to have some Jason Bourne in him somewhere. 😉
Elaine says
Joe Manganiello, hands down!
Rebecca says
Marky Mark. He seems like a badass, and I would prefer him in some Calvin Kleins, given a choice 🙂
Annette@FitnessPerks says
Liam Neeson, Chris Hemsworth, or Matt Damon. 🙂 All would rock at it.
Love the idea of cheesy eggs! YUMM.
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles says
Hmm…this is a good question!
I’d say Robert Downey Jr. Even if he failed, at least his wittiness and sense of humour would mean I would die laughing. 🙂
I just asked the boyfriend and he said Schwarzenegger.
Maybe 20 years ago, but probably not so much now 🙂
Jolynn says
Jason Statham!!
Hillary says
Snooki.
HAH. JK.
Katie @ Peace Love and Oats says
Hmmm Channing Tatum, so even if I die I’d get to see him shirtless beforehand! Hahahahahaha
DW says
Jesus: The biggest celebrity for almost 2,000 years.
Holly says
Morgan Freeman. He seems to be the voice of reason in every action movie. Plus he’s awesome. Lil.
Joyce Underwood says
Vin Diesel. He plays RPGs in real life, so I am confident that he can think on his feet. Also, he would look good doing it.
Kelsey says
Ryan Reynolds.. I would die a happy person at just the sight of his face (and abs!)
Coco J says
Denzell, or Liam Neeson
Carrie @ Lift Eat Repeat says
Matthew Mcconaughey or The Rock! Matthew because I know he is fit and I would love to meet him and The Rock because I know without a doubt he would be strong enough to save me!
I do think that Denzel is an excellent choice as well though!
Katie says
Chris Evans!
…especially if he’s Captain America because of the whole “super hero” thing.
@pluvk says
Definitely “The Rock.” He can put me in a headlock any day!
Bree ltc says
Not to mention incredibly HOT. That man is amazingly handsome.
Wow, now I’M in a daze 🙂
Candace says
Kiefer Sutherland-look at how many times he saved USA during the “24” series!!!
Audrey Adams says
HUGH JACKMAN!
CampingGirl says
Mark Wahlberg!
Elisabeth says
Alex O’Loughlin! (Steve McGarrett on Hawaii Five-O) 😀
Chelsie @ Balance, Not Scale says
Will Smith in I Am Legend mode – hands down, no question about it!! (That being said, I wouldn’t say no to the majority of the suggestions above! haha.)
Floey says
Lassie!
Hahha. Just kidding.
Maybe
Bek @ Crave says
I’d choose Channing Tantum- because who wouldn’t want to be saved by him 😉
Heather says
Jennifer Lawrence (as Katniss, obviously). If she can outsmart The Capitol, I figure she can do pretty much anything. She’s kind of a BAMF.
Brita says
and Denzel is extremely good looking 🙂
I’d probably pick Russell Crowe. He seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders.
Jenni says
Gotta go with Jason Statham…would definitely feel safe in his hands! Doesn’t hurt that he’s ripped and totally hot 🙂
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
Antonio Banderas. Mmm.
Whitney "To Live and Diet in L.A." says
I hate to tell you this Julie, but I would not rely on Denzel Washington! Rumor has it he’s a real jerk, sorry to bust your bubble 🙁
I’d go with Ryan Gosling. He actually rescued a woman once and broke up a fight in NYC. Sexy!
Nicole says
Tough one! Love Christian Bale as Batman and he’d do a mighty fine job i think!! But I’d have a plan B of Marky Mark Wahlberg or Matt Damon! 🙂
Ashley @ Sweat for Sweets says
Hmmm.. probably Mark Walberg!
