Today’s interval treadmill workout lasted 40 minutes and didn’t include too much running (18 minutes total), but whenever I pair running with crazy-fast incline walking, a red and sweaty face will almost always be the end result.
The 40 minutes I spent on the treadmill kicked off my workout for the day and I rounded out my time at the gym with a core circuit from the Best Body Boot Camp plan I am following. Burnin’ abs!
Breakfast
Breakfast this morning was sweet ‘n’ salty. Perfecto!
I made myself an egg bagelwich with strawberry jelly and Alouette Portions original soft cheese.
The cheese reminds me a lot of cream cheese. It’s incredibly creamy!
The company sent me the spreadable cheese to try several weeks ago and it has become a staple in my morning and afternoon snacks. The Italian herb cheese is perfect when spread on a whole wheat tortilla and topped with cucumbers for a light and delicious afternoon wrap. I’ve been pairing the original cheese with fresh fruit and honey. Yum!
Breakfast also included a hot mug of coffee. Wake up, buttercup!
Now it’s time for things to get a little cheesy around here…
Alouette is in the middle of a 30-city U.S. tour with the 12-year-old author of Portion Size Me, a new book about the way the young author and his family transformed their lives by modifying their daily food choices and watching their portion sizes.
To held spread the word, Alouette is offering one PBF reader the chance to win a signed copy of the book and five coupons for Alouette cheese, valued at $8 each.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, saying how you’d like to use the cheese. I will randomly select a winner tomorrow morning.
Good luck!
I would make your delish breakfast sandwich.
It would be great with mashed potatoes!!
Oooo! I’ve never tried Alouette, but I bet this cheese would be very yummy warmed up with a drizzle of honey and some pecans (the original cheese, of course)! Delish! Or maybe a flavored cheese could be melted into a yummy sauce for pasta! Then again, it’s cheese, and cheese is good on EVERYTHING.
I’d like to try it on apples!
Would definitely use it on my bagels in the morning!
I would spread the cheese on crackers for a snack or use it to make a pbf eggy sandwich with jelly.
I have never heard of this cheese, but I use Laughing Cow all the time (which seems pretty similar). I would spread it on a tortilla and add boiled egg whites and spinach. Yum!
I love cheese! It makes sandwiches taste 10 times better!
I would love to use that cheese on a veggie sandwich or wrap! YUM!
I would put the cheese in a wrap or veggie scramble. 🙂
I would love to use this cheese on my breakfast sandwich every morning! English muffin, fried egg, cheese and hot sauce, it’s how I start every morning!
Maybe put some honey in it and use it as a dip for my apple slices. Love apples and cheese together.
I would use the cheese on kashi crackers with turkey! Yum!
I have been wanting to make homemade bagels…this cheese would be awesome on them! I could eat cheese with just about anything. 🙂
I would put the cheese on flatbread and top it with tomatoes and other vegetables! The plain flavor would also be good on sweet potatoes. Mmmmmm.
How WOULDN’T I use the cheese is the real question. Cheese on an egg sammy is my fave, though!
I would use it in a breakfast sandwich!! I wasn’t so sure about you when you said “jelly, egg and cheese” sandwich….had one this morning and OH MY GOODNESS!!! Yummy!!!! So, I know I’ll be making those quite often in the morning:)
Oh goodness I adore spreadable cheese!!! I would use it on bagels, bagelwiches, wraps, as part of salad dressings, with fruit, on veggies…. so many ways!!!
I would love to use the cheese in my eggwhite omlettes or on my grilled chicken and even melted on top of some roasted brussel sprouts!
YUM!
I would put the cheese in my scrabbled eggs or with crackers – a daily staple around here.
I’d use it as a schmear on bagels or as a snack paired with crackers and fruit. Delish!
I’d melt the cheese into an egg white & veggie omelet – yummm!
I would put it on the fresh strawberries I just bought, topped with honey!!
I love Alouette cheese. It’s so good. I would use it on a bagel thin to make a veggie and cheese sandwhich!
I would definitely use it in a cheese-spinach crepe! YUM!
I’d put it on a turkey wrap with lots of veggies!
That looks so yummy! It sounds so good with sliced cucumber and tomato. Mmmmmm. 🙂
MMM would love to try this since I love Alouette but have banned the delicious tub of cheese from my house because I devour it:)
Now this is a perfect substitute for that fake laughing cow cheese i love so much:) Pretzels and herby cheese…yes please.
I would add the cheese to a toasted BLT bagelwich
That would be great on any kind of sandwich, or as a snack with veggie dippers!
Julie, I know you’re really into interval training…have you ever tried the “Insanity” workouts? I literally just got done with one of the DVDs and I’m a sweatin’! It seems like it might be right up your alley.
I would be great on one of those sandwich thins with some cucumber, salt and pepper.
I would make a BLT!
Mmmm this is making me hungry! I would use it in stuffed mushrooms! I also like the cucumber sandwich idea!
Ooh yum – I would use the cheese to add a little something something to my boring old sandwiches!
Yummmm!! I would use it on bagels for sure.. or maybe eat it with some pretzels. I’m a lover of all things cheese
Who doesn’t love cheese? I think I would eat it on a warm turkey and sweet pickle sandwich.
Mmmm I totally love Alouette! I really love cheese–esp good spreadable ones, so I would put this on my whole wheat bagels, spinach/egg sandwiches, and eat it with pretzels and/or crackers.
LOVE the look of the treadmill workout, p.s.!
yum yum!! I would also eat it with my scrambled eggs!!
It would be perfect for an afternoon snack by dipping raw veggies in it:)
Mmm I think I’d melt it on bread for a grilled cheese with apple slices!
Would love to try with crackers or on a toasted bagel with smoked salmon!
i would use it for my afternoon snacks 🙂
Perfect on crackers or added to salsa to make a dip:) sounds delicious.
I would eat this cheese with pita chips! yum!
I just bought some bagel thins… I think you know where this cheese would be going!
I would use their cheese in SO many ways:
morning: scramble it with some eggs or in an omelette
lunch: spread it on bread (instead of mayo) and enjoy with some greens and sprouts
snack: dip it with some crackers or an apple- YUM.
dinner: mix it up in some pasta or risotto with spinach and sliced chicken.
aka: I WANNA WIN!!! 😉
Most likely: with a sliced apple or veggie burger sandwich! Sounds delicious!
I’d like to pack the cheese in my daughter’s lunch box!
since im OBSESSED with almost any kind of cheese, I’d probably eat it plain (along with anything and everything else) haha
