This morning started out on a sweet note with a creamy bowl of overnight oats.
After dinner yesterday I threw Coach’s Oats, chia seeds, strawberry banana Greek yogurt, milk and a heaping spoonful of strawberry preserves into a bowl and let it soak overnight.
(I highly recommend adding fruit preserves to overnight oats! It added the perfect punch of sweetness.)
This morning, I stirred everything up and added a bit more milk and a sliced banana to the oats.
I ate the oats out of a new bowl I got from my family for Christmas. I love the fun design and the depth. Perfect for stirring extra ingredients into overnight oats without worrying about overflow.
Whenever I hear back from readers who have unsuccessfully attempted overnight oats, the complaint is almost always that they were too liquidy. For me, the key to thick overnight oats is the inclusion of chia seeds.
So how about a chance to win some chia seeds of your own?
As you may know, I am a FitFluential ambassador and when the company put out a call for ambassadors who were big fans of chia seeds a few weeks ago, I immediately responded saying I looove the nutritious little seeds.
I’ve been eating chia seeds since the beginning of the year when I first tried them and haven’t looked back.
They’re great in cinnamon chia seed granola…
On top of pancakes, bagels, English muffins topped with peanut butter…
Incorporated into smoothies or even in chocolate chia seed pudding…

My favourite way to enjoy chia seeds is in green monster smoothies. It adds a nice bit of fluffiness to the mixture!
Chia seeds have been shown all over blogs recently, and people boast of their nutritional quality. I have been wanting to try them, but didn’t know if they were something that is really healthy to consume with a normal balanced diet. Now that you say they are great, I am really wanting to try them! I do not live near any grocery stores that carry them, so that is why I am the ideal candidate to win this give away =) oh and also I am a poor college student!
I LOVE chia seeds!!! I eat them on top of pancakes, waffles, and in my cereal–SO delicious!
my favorite way? i have to choose? you have introduced me to about 1,000 ways, so i guess my ONE favorite way is oatmeal/eggs/smoothies/granola! (what? it’s all one word…)
You put chia seeds in eggs? Never would have thought to do that – do you fold them in to an omlette or…?
sometimes i just sprinkle them on top for an added crunch. folding them into an omelette would work as well! or on top of your jelly toast with eggs on top! doesn’t really matter how you do it! 🙂 🙂
cool idea!!!
I want to try chia seeds simply for the fact I’ve never had them before!
I always read about chia seeds on your blog and have never tried them. Dr. Oz spoke about the benefits of chia seeds too on his show. I would love to win some!
Chia seeds are yumo! I love putting them in my yogurt! I describe the texture as similar to kiwi seeds. Hard with a film around them! Adds some fun to the yogurt!

I’ve never had chia seeds and would love to add them to my daily staples like greek yogurt!
Chia seeds can be enjoyed just by adding them to a drink as well. We all drink water and a lot of us I’m sure are bored with it. Spice up that water with chia seeds. Place seeds in your water and allow to expand. Stir or shaking them around a bit breaks up the clumps if some develop. It makes drinking water more fun and even more nutritious. :-). I personally enjoy them in my vitamin water zero. If I am the winner I will continue to use them in my vitamin water zero at the gym and spread the love of them through all the awkward question I get asking what I am drinking 🙂
Drink chia seeds!
I would love to try the Chia seeds in overnight oats. I am a huge fan of oatmeal in general and I even bought a box of the regular oats to try. Chia seeds are all the rage and with so many nutritional benefits I want to try them!
