Chill in the Air

October 4, 2010 by Julie 24 Comments

There’s definitely a chill in the air today!

I noticed the chill on my walk to the gym with Ryan this morning, but I didn’t really pay that much attention to it until my walk with Sadie.

What is it about a little nip in the air that makes dogs go absolutely bonkers?

"Errr, it's a little chilly today. Not sure how I feel about that."

"Can't ya just SMELL the chill?"

Sadie picked up just about every single stick we passed on our walk, jumped around like a nut job and still wasn’t panting. That, my friends, is some serious chill!

Breakfast

The crispness in the air inspired my breakfast.

Honeycrisp

I ate half of a Honeycrisp apple right off the core before chopping the remaining half and incorporating in into a yogurt bowl along with two handfuls of raspberries.

Fruit 'n' Yogurt

Lots o' Fruit

Chopped apples in yogurt bowls add so much texture and flavor.

Raspberries + Apples

Deeelish!

Since this breakfast did nothing to ward off the autumn chill, I busted out a hoodie to wear for the first time this season!

I'm so hoooooood!

Please notice that the colors of my outfit are Orlando Magic colors. 😀

Now I’m off to make myself a cup of hot tea and get to work! Silly Mondays…

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I wore a winter coat this morning in Chicago. It may have been a tad unnecessary, but I’d rather be prepared for those unpredictable winds!

It was 30 degrees in MN yesterday morning. I ran a 10 mile and was bundled up — I felt like the Michelin man running down the road 🙂

It is definitely hoodie weather and I love it!

Sadie makes the funniest faces. She must be such a joy in your life!

I feel the chill! I went outside with just a sweater on when it is clearly jacket weather. My bad! I’ll just have to shiver my way through this Monday.

It has been a bit chilly here in Chicago the last few days. When it’s a little less windy, i’m loving it. 🙂

It’s definitely getting colder. I’ve been wearing hoodies for a month or so. Then again, I get cold extremely easily!

I have a feeling I will be rocking many hoodie sweatshirts this fall/early winter. They have room for the growing belly. LOL

I’ve never been so happy to see fall in my life… this weekend Molly and I went walking and running and it as the same thing, she finally wasn’t panting like crazy. (Me either actually, lol.) She doesn’t do well when it’s really cold out though, so I’m thinking I may need to get her a little sweater or something for runs and walks in the winter. I wonder if they make clothes like that for big dogs..

I love this cool weather. I’ve been wearing uggs since this weekend. I’m loving this. Honeycrisp apples are my favorite! They are so expensive around me though. 🙁
