I am actually typing up this blog post over the weekend because I know my week will be a little crazy thanks to my NYC travels. (I hope to share a recap of my trip on Thursday.) I still wanted to keep things fresh on the ol’ blog and share something with you today though, so I must thank Kristin for bringing the fun Currently survey that’s been floating around the blog world for years to the forefront of my mind.

Frittatas. You guys probably already know this by now, but I’ve been on a HUGE frittata kick for months. I make a frittata or egg muffins almost every Sunday night for an easy reheat-and-eat breakfast during the week.

Reuniting with all of my best friends from college at the end of the month! We are getting together in Clearwater, Florida to celebrate my friend Leah’s son Theo’s first birthday! (Theo was in Leah’s belly in the above pic… And Chase was in mine, but I was only around 14 weeks pregnant at the time!) I cannot wait to celebrate such a special little boy and get Theo and Chase together for the first time. I’m counting down the days!

Adele’s latest album. You guys, I just can’t stop. Every time I take her CD out of our kitchen CD player (yes, we still own a CD player), I find myself missing Adele. So I put the CD back in again. Ryan thinks her whole CD is wildly depressing but I think he’s wildly wrong. It’s perfect.

Ben & Jerry’s Oatmeal Cookie Chunk ice cream. Oh how I wish the people over at Ben & Jerry’s would bring my favorite ice cream flavor EVER back from the Ice Cream Flavor Graveyard.
And just because I’m a psycho about this flavor, I actually did some research a while ago to try to figure out WHY Ben & Jerry’s would get rid of such a phenomenal flavor and apparently the supplier who used to make the cookies in oatmeal cookie chunk stopped making them and they couldn’t find oatmeal cookies delicious enough to replace them, so the flavor was discontinued. I kind of wish they would let me go on an oatmeal cookie tasting spree for them to find a proper oatmeal cookie replacement. I think I am up to the challenge.

A pair of peep-toe wedge booties. I found the exact pair I wanted three different places (White Plum + Nordstrom + Amazon), but they were ALL sold out of my size, so now I’m on the hunt! I also really like the above pair that I found on Pinterest, but there is NO image source and I have no idea how to find them! So, if you happen to see a pair of peep-toe nude booties that look like either of the ones pictured above, please let me know.

Being a mom. Cheesy but true. And also awesome since I had a lot of anxiety surrounding whether or not I’d honestly enjoy being a mother since I’ve never been a huge baby person. I never really saw myself loving all the baby stuff as much as I have, but oh my goodness Chase has flipped my whole world upside down for the better. I’m a hot mess, I forget things left and right and I have basically zero time to myself, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin. I love the way Gretchen’s books encourage me to think and become more self aware. I’m not too far into this one – only about a third of the way through – but I am really enjoying the way Gretchen focuses on habits as a way to foster happiness in our lives. (For those who have read it, I am totally an “Obliger.”)

The Bachelor is the only show I’m currently watching, though Ryan and I are hoping to start the latest season of House of Cards soon! I think Ben and Lauren B. are adorable together and seem very compatible. I’m also beginning to wonder who they will pick for the next Bachelorette. I feel like Caila must be in the running since she was in the top three but there’s something about her that seems forced and almost Britt-ish to me. (Britt as in Britt from Farmer Chris’ season of The Bachelor.) I can’t put my finger on it, but I’m hoping they go in another direction… Maybe one of the final two? Bachelor fans, who do you think Ben is going to choose? Who do you want to be the next Bachelorette?

Oh and I have (assuming they’re lucky brand?) the top picture of those two pairs of nude peep toe wedges! I bought them on sale at the Nordstrom Rack last summer… Funny side story about them; the rack website had the shoes on sale for $40 but the actual rack store had them for $80, so I mentioned it and they matched the lower price! Hope you find a pair – the lucky brand ones are soooo comfy!
Ohhhh the bachelor 🙂 I think he will pick Lauren, and if he does, I would LOVE Jojo to be the next bachelorette. I love her. I also agree that something seems “off” about Caila and am hoping she isn’t the next bachelorette…we will see!
I absolutely adore the Better Than Before book. I’m totally a Questioner and now that I realize that so many things make sense to me! Have you listened to her Happier podcast that she does with her sister?

I’ve been watching The Bachelor for the first time ever this season, and I realized how terribly addictive it is 🙂 I love Jojo, but I agree that I think he’ll probably pick Lauren…so I hope Jojo ends up the next Bachelorette!
I am currently watching the Bachelor too. I think he is going to pick Lauren B. I totally agree with you that I hope they go a different direction for the Bachelorette. Caila is nice enough but I feel like she will be kind of boring… I am hoping for one of the top 2!

Those nude booties are adorable! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of nude wedge sandals and I have the same problem as you. As soon as I find one I like they either don’t have my size or they’re like $500.
I think Ben will pick Lauren B and then I hope they make Jo Jo the next Bachelorette. I totally agree that Caila seems forced. I think she’s just trying really hard to get the part.

There is a link to them on that page for a site called yesstyle.com but when you click on them, they say sold out or not available in your area. The look to be from a European site. The Bachelor: Caila actually went to my high school for freshman and sophomore year and she is super sweet. I really liked her the few times I was around her and got to chat with her! She is not fake, in my opinion. And I am pretty sure they already announced online that she was going to be the next Bachelorette…which I’m excited about!

I feel pretty confident that Ben is going to choose Lauren, even though I like JoJo better. I think JoJo would be a great Bachelorette (fun fact – JoJo’s brother Ben was on the reality dating show Ready For Love a few years ago, so kinda funny that he was so hard on Bachelor Ben!). Something about Caila rubs me the wrong way, not that I think she’s a bad person at all, I think she’s super sweet, just a little too happy ALL.THE.TIME. I just feel like I want her to just be real and open up all the time. Honestly, I feel like all of their options are SO YOUNG to be the Bachelorette! Or possibly I’m just getting old. 🙂
I’ve loved all of Gretchen Rubin’s books but I didn’t care for Better Than Before. I get the point of the book and I did like parts of it, but there were times when it felt like she was just judging and trying to change all of her friends, family, etc. I’d still read any books she comes out with, but that one wasn’t my favorite!
This isn’t one of your categories but I’m currently reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin! I keep hearing such amazing reviews that I couldn’t avoid it any longer. I’m not usually a nonfiction girl, but I’m making an exception for her.
Also, currently loving my two new tunics from White Plum. I finally tried their clothes and I can’t stop wearing them. At 5’10”, it’s super hard to find tunics long enough to wear with just leggings. Theirs are perfect!!

I thought on the “women tell all” that the producers were gunning SO hard for Jubilee to be the next bachelorette. Caila is a snoozer. I would like the next bachelorette to be Jojo but who knows! I am currently loving putting a teaspoon of coconut oil in my morning coffee! I guess it’s a form of bulletproof coffee which I was never a fan of because the thought of putting butter in my coffee skeeved me out, but the coconut oil and a little coconut milk is so delicious! give it a try! (just put it in as soon as your pour your cup so it’s hot enough to melt the oil quickly. Also, currently trying to update my running playlist – Dreaming (The Chainsmokers Remix) has been a good addition so far 🙂
