When booking our trip to St. Lucia, Ryan and I decided not to leave until Friday to give us a couple of days to decompress after a whirlwind wedding. I am so glad we opted to do this because I would’ve been seriously overwhelmed trying to pack and get ready for a vacation this weekend.
This also means we are back at work today! Phew!
We’re feeling pretty exhausted, but we’re also riding the wedding high after such a wonderful weekend.
Our pastor was kind enough to send us some pictures of our big day which were fun to look through. Here are a couple of sneak peaks from our pastor’s pictures until I get our photographer’s pictures to share with you.
My dad and I were pretty emotional. Like father, like daughter.
(Side note: For anyone getting married in the St. Pete/ Tampa area, our pastor, Rev. Dean Ryder was absolutely amazing. He and his wife, Donna, were so loving and kind and made our ceremony so special.)
I also have a few more pictured to share from my camera:
It feels kind of funny to be back to normalcy today. I still feel like the wedding should be taking precedence over everything.
Workout
Today began with a workout! Since the last time I worked out was Thursday, I was happy to get in the gym this morning. I definitely felt a little weak during BodyPump.
After sweatin’ it out, I took Sadie on a quick walk. She was pretty tired after all of the attention she received at yesterday’s post-wedding brunch at my parent’s house. She was asleep again by the time I got out of the shower!
Breakfast
Today’s breakfast was a healthified Egg McMuffin, prepared on a whole wheat English muffin with Morningstar Farms veggie bacon, a wedge of Laughing Cow light original Swiss cheese and an egg white.
Now I’m off to catch up on work! 😀
Congratulations!! You look so beautiful- I love your dress! Now- countdown to honeymoon!! 🙂
We did the same and it was the BEST idea ever! I didn’t want to pick up and leave right after the wedding. The pictures are incredible. You know I’m waiting to see the cake!
Aww Julie you were such a beautiful bride! Your bridesmaids dresses are gorgeous too. I think it’s great you took a few days to go back to work in between. It will give you something to look forward to when you get to go to St. Lucia in a few days. I’m sure Sadie loves it. Congrats Wifey! Oh and if you need any advice on how to change your last name, I’ve got lots of tricks to make it easier.
Julie! I’ve been sick all weekend with a terrible cold…& these adorable pictures just made my day 🙂 I hope you keep riding that wedding high all week! Love to you guys!
Congratulations! You all look so happy and in peace. To many wonderful years to come.
You looked gorgeous! And of course, Ryan looked handsome as well. The bridesmaid dresses look great with your dress – good choice!
Wow! I love your dress – worth the wait – haha! I can’t wait to see more wedding pictures! 🙂
Oh my goodness! You were/are such a beautiful bride! Congratulations!
I was totally thinking about you this morning when I saw @ the gym because I saw on the tv that there was the tropical storm near St. Lucia- or some big storm (Tomas, I think) & I was sure hoping you two were ok.
And, good thing is that you will be able to escape to the nice tropical weather when the cold front comes thru here @ the end of this week 🙂
Never even thought to kind of wait for a honeymoon- such a good idea!
BEAUTIFUL pictures, GORGEOUS bride! Congrats again, Julie, you look like the happiest bride ever & Ryan looks like the happiest groom 😀
I love the photo of you and Ryan cracking up! Love the bridesmaid dresses and YOUR dress turned out absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to see the other photos and see how your etsy veil turned out….or is it still sitting in your car? 🙂
AHHHHHHH!!!!!
You’re dress is so beautiful and those are the prettiest bridesmaid dresses I have ever seen.
Beautiful! Congrats!
you guys are the cutest couple i swear. 🙂
BEAUTIFUL, Julie!! I love your dress, the bridesmaids’ dresses, Ryan’s tux, everything! Thanks for sharing your pictures!
I wholeheartedly agree with your choice to leave a bit of time between the wedding and honeymoon departure. Gives you time to breathe, PLUS you get to re-experience the newlywed high again a separate time! My hubs and I got married this past summer but aren’t going on our honeymoon until January for these very reasons. I’m sure it would be fun to leave the day after your wedding, but that just sounds stressful to me!
I love your dress! Simple but still special with the lace details! It suits you perfectly!
I actually like that idea so it gives you the time to decompress! WOW! You looked absolutely stunning! I am beyond happy for you! Ride the high girl! lol
Everything is gorgeous! I especially love the shot of you two facing each other and you laughing. Candid wedding photos are the best. I’m glad you have some time to unwind before you leave for your honeymoon – that will make it all the more relaxing!!
Congrats!! Everything looks beautiful!!!! Your wedding came together just the way you wanted it to. You and Ryan make a beautiful couple. Enjoy married life. 🙂 I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures!
What a gorgeous couple! Looks like the bay area weather really was perfect for y’all’s day :o)
Breakfast question: how did you get your egg whites tiny and round like that? Did you just use a tiny skillet, or did you do them in the microwave? I make the same “healthy (and WAY cheaper!!!) “Egg McMuffin” most mornings, but my eggs are always falling out all over the place!
Your sandwich looks good — I had something similar this morning!
I just read your last post — I love seeing the ring on Jason’s finger — it just makes me all gushy and lovey dovey. I sometimes can’t believe we got married — I feel so lucky.
Congratulations 🙂
If you hadn’t mentioned you had pink eye and food poisoning, I’d never know – you (and your hubs and your family) look like a million bucks!
Your dress is gorgeous, and you and Ryan are gorgeous!! So glad you had a special weekend 🙂 I
Absolutely beautiful!

Congratulations, Julie! I totally teared up & got goosebumps when I saw the picture of you & your dad! You made a stunning bride! YAY!!! So happy for you & Ryan. 🙂
Congratulations! Looks like a beautiful day!
Your dress looks gorgeous. I can’t wait to see more details of it. 🙂
And great thinking on taking a few days to decompress. Although I bet it does feel a little weird to go from such a high weekend back to normalcy for a few days. How fun to have the honeymoon to look forward to together this week too.
Love the pictures. Your dress is so gorgeous!
When my husband and I got married, we did the same thing you did. Our wedding was on a Sunday and we didn’t leave for our honeymoon until Thursday. That was the best decision ever. We went on a week long vacation to Europe (London and Paris), so we would have been crazy with the packing and details if we had left earlier.
You are the most beautiful bride ever! You can totally see how genuinely happy everyone is!
Everything looked so beautiful! 🙂 I love your dress and you look beautiful, as usual! I loved the photo of you laughing during the ceremony! 🙂 That was such a great idea about waiting for the honeymoon; wish we had done that. We were so dead tired by all the wedding planning for the first few days on our honeymoon. 🙂
Congrats MRS Peanut Butter Fingers! 🙂
You looked GORGEOUS!
You and your Mom and your Sis look so pretty! Excellent choice on the dress, btw!
You looked so beautiful!! Congrats on being a Mrs.!!
i think ive said this 5 times before, but you look absolutely gorgeous!
Congratulations ! so beautiful!!! What I did not see is the very famous veil we all learned about on your blog-Did you end up no wearing it?
i wore it during the ceremony. it was tucked under my up-do.
You look absolutely beautiful! Waiting to see all of the pictures was so hard, but it is well worth the wait!
You look beautiful, congrats!
I really love how you did your hair! I want to do my hair to look like that, it’s so classy 🙂
I can’t wait to see all your beautiful pictures, I know they will look amazing!
You looked amazing!!! I love your dress and the bridesmaids dresses were so elegant and fashionable. Congrats again!
Congrats girl, you are a gorgeous couple!!! 🙂 And enjoy your honeymoon — taking a couple of days to decompress was a fabulous idea!
