Thankfully I keep an emergency stash of soup in a drawer at my desk so I have something to eat should a food emergency surface. (Apparently I keep lots of fun stuff in my desk drawers!)
Also in the drawer: A crap-ton of tea, honey, jelly, hot chocolate, utensils, lady products 😉 and miscellaneous personal papers. Things not in the drawer: peanut butter. I tried this once and the whole jar was gone in three days. Three days. And it wasn’t even specialty flavored peanut butter. I’m a mess.
Around lunchtime today I rummaged through the drawer and selected a can of Progresso chicken barley soup.
I also purchased a pack of honey roasted peanuts for $.50 from the little café on the second floor of our building to add some healthy fats and protein to my meal.
Fat: Check! Protein: Check!
This makeshift meal was surprisingly pretty darn good. Drawer food to the rescue!
Before moving on to some giveaway fun, I just wanted to let you know that the Fashion page was updated!
Now let’s get to it.

Oh man, where do I even begin in terms of favorite fruit? I love so many of them, for such different reasons. I guess in the grand scheme of things, should I only be allowed to eat one fruit for the rest of my life, it would be watermelon.
So. So. Good.

Oh my gosh, all-time favorite? I don’t know that I could choose. I love all fruit. If I REALLY had to pick one, I’d probably go for strawberries – the best way I’ve ever had them was drizzled with a 25 year aged balsamic vinegar and then torched with a creme brulee torch. They were pretty amazing.
