Day two at FitBoggin’ started out airborne!
Everybody in the club at FitBloggin’ was jumpin’, jumpin’! (I still love that Destiny’s Child song. So catchy!)
After breakfast, FitBloggin’ Day Two began with a trampoline workout presented by JumpSport.
Oh my gosh, it was so much fun!!! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the workout was ridiculously sweaty, challenging and incredibly entertaining.
Gina and I partnered up for the workout and while one of us jumped around on the trampoline, the other did some sort of body weight strength or core exercise such as lunges with a front kick or side crunches. It was tough but the music was totally rockin’ and I felt like I was a 10 year old playing around at recess. It was such a unique and fun workout. I’d gladly do it again if it was ever offered somewhere near me in Ocala!
Workout number two for the day was a CrossFit class presented by Reebok.
I was pretty pumped for the CrossFit workout going into the day, but after the JumpSport workout, I found myself feeling a little relieved when the CrossFit workout was nice and short.
After a short informational session about CrossFit and a quick rundown of proper form, we completed as many rounds of the following exercises as possible in four minutes:
- 5 push ups
- 7 sit ups
- 9 air squats
It was short but sweet!
After CrossFit, there was a three hour break in the FitBloggin’ schedule that allowed attendees to get outside and explore Portland. You better believe I took advantage of this time and headed out into the city.
First up was a trip to Kure Juice Bar!
This place was so delicious! It smelled like my kitchen whenever I make a green lemonade smoothie.
I’ve never had juice made with beets before and since I think beets are the jam, I was immediately intrigued by the Farmer’s Favorite.
Carrot + Kale + Beet + Ginger + Lemon
All juice I’ve previously tried has included some kind of fruit, so I wasn’t sure what I would think, but I thought it was fabulous.
I also bought a peanut butter bar from Kure that was fabulous!
Everyone seemed to rave about their juice and smoothie bowls.
From left to right: Kasey, Katie, Charissa, Bobbi and Ericka
While we sipped our juice, our group walked around Portland before popping into a random hotel to ask for directions to the farmer’s market that we heard so much about from the locals we talked to while we were in the city. The farmer’s market was buzzing with energy and the produce and flowers were stunning!
I tried the white raspberries and they were a bit sweeter than traditional raspberries. So tasty!
Eventually we decided it was time to head back so we could quickly shower before the afternoon sessions. Plus, the Bachelor fan in me was a little too excited to meet one of the afternoon presenters…
Tenley Molzahn!
My fellow Bachelor fans might remember her from the season with Jake and Vienna. (<—Yeesh!) Tenley was such a genuine and sweet person. She was happy to chat with us for a while and made everyone feel at ease around her. I can’t wait to check out her blog!
Tenley attended FitBloggin’ as a presenter with SoyJoy and I enjoyed her discussion about healthy snacking on the go and her gluten-free lifestyle.
After Tenley’s talk, we had a brief snack break sponsored by The Laughing Cow.
I had fun chatting with two new blogging friends, Sarah and Kimberly.
The next session I attended was “Getting Paid vs. Paying Your Dues” led by Leah Segedie of Bookieboo. The topic was addressed in a discussion format, with bloggers posing various questions for other bloggers to weigh in on during the two hours we had together. It was interesting!
Happy Hour + Dinner
Once the final session was over, it was time for happy hour!
Tina, Ericka, Anne, Heather, Gina and I headed out to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar at our hotel.
A glass of red wine hit the spot after a long day!
We had dinner plans at 8 p.m. at The Picnic House, a local restaurant that came highly recommended by a few of you.
Thank you for always giving me the best restaurant recommendations! I feel like every time I travel anywhere, I always follow your recommendations and you guys never steer me wrong. The Picnic House was fabulous!
Our group shared a bunch of appetizers and I ordered the rock fish as my entree and ate every bite. It was fantastic!
I absolutely loved my time in Portland. FitBloggin’ was an incredible experience!
Now I’m back in Ocala and am about to head out the door to work. I hope you all had a great weekend!
Question of the Morning
- Have you ever met or seen someone from a reality TV show in person?
Shel@PeachyPalate says
Sounds like an amazing trip! Great workouts, even better company and amazing food! Would love to try a trampoline workout!
Leigh @ beach and back runner says
Looks like a great city. That trampoline workout looks like so much fun!
Laura says
Oh my gosh! You FitBloggin’ ladies look amazing during workouts. I don’t see a drop of sweat!
Really quick – do you know it that type of trampoline workout is something you can find at a gym? Or would someone have to go to a specialty studio to take a class?
Thanks!
Sara @ sarasmiles says
I haven’t personally, but my best friend met Vicki from The Real Housewives and had a picture with her on her phone. She looked SO different when not on TV.
Gah, Tenley really dodged a bullet with Jake not picking her. He seemed like a weirdo
Jana @ Happy Wife Healthy Life says
Ahh I love Tenley and follow her on twitter and Instagram and adore her blog. It was so funny seeing her posing for pictures with some of my favorite bloggers. It felt like two worlds colliding lol!
Tiff @ Love Sweat and Beers says
You look so pretty! Great pics. This sounds like a really great time, especially the trampoline workout and the rooftop relaxing.
Caitlyn @ City and the Cubicle says
So fun! Especially that trampoline work-out. Love that Destiny’s Child song. It’s still on my i-pod 🙂 I met Sheree from Real Housewives of Atlanta. It was in Philadelphia, and I’d had a few glasses of wine so I thought I might be hallucinating, haha. She was very polite and nice. Then I met Joe and Melissa Gorga from Real Housewives of NJ, who aren’t my favorites, when they hosted at a club in AC, but they were fun and danced in the crowd!
Jenn says
Tenley’s blog = ZzzZzzzZzzZzz
Tracey says
Ahh, love the pic of you and Gina. You’re my two favorite bloggers, so it’s fun to see you girls hangin’ out together. Jealous! 😉
Beth @ Mangoes and Miles says
So jealous that you got to meet Tenley Molzahn–she seems like such a sweet girl. That smoothie bowl looks so impressive. I don’t know how I feel about all these juices, but I guess I’ll have to take your word that they’re good. 🙂 I really want to run the Portland Marathon one year, so I’ll decide for myself then!
Erin says
Back in March I went on a cruise and just as we were leaving port, I look over to my left and see Heather from Real Housewives of NYC. Real Housewives is my guilty pleasure, so I was way too excited. She was so sweet and looked just like she does on television.
Courtney says
As an avid Bachelor watcher, I think it’s so fun you met Tenley! It looks like an amazing conference and I so hope I’m able to go next year!

Your trampoline workout pictures seriously made me want to take one of those classes! I remember my mom having an old workout trampoline that me and my sister used to play on when we were little.
For your question, I met Rick and Corey from Pawn Stars! It was at a local casino… I’m a huge dork but I was really excited to meet them!
Jennifer says
OMG, sounds like a blast! You would think trampolines are just for kids, who knew?!! I really love the workout tank you are wearing while doing the trampoline workout, is it from Reebok?

Those flowers at the farmer’s market are absolutely beautiful! Sounds like you guys had a great time at Fitbloggin.
Jamie @ Sometimes Healthy Living Blog says
Wow, I would LOVE to try a trampoline workout! Looks like so much fun and the pic of you is adorable.
ACTUALLY, the last time I went to the Healthy Living Summit (in Philly), we ran into Ashley from the Bachelorette with her adorable now-husband, JP. They were every bit as sweet in person. It was nice to see that tv actually portrayed them pretty accurately 🙂 I know you were at the convention, but not sure if you were with us. I think Courtney was!
Linz @ Itz Linz says
omg i totally want to do a jumping workout! that looks like SO MUCH FUN!

That trampoline has my 10 year old self ridiculously jealous!! That looks like so much fun! I think where I live needs one of those smoothies places 🙂 Never met someone from TV in real life, I’d probably be way to nervous to say hi lol.

CT from MTV’s Real World, and the Challenges (?) in Boston. He was a complete jerk….even worse than he is on TV. Not a nice human being.

I too am a huge Bachelor/Bachelorette fan. I live on Cape Cod and work in the courthouse, one day Chris Lambton from Ali’s season of the Bachelorette came in for jury duty. Everyone I work with knows that Chris was my all time favorite. Once he was done with jury duty one of the on duty court officers lead him to my office. was caught off guard and my face was completely red but I had my picture taken with him and now it’s up on my office wall.
joelle (on a pink typewriter) says
Looks like it was such a fun trip!! And it kind of looks like the Laughing Cow is going to eat your head haha.

I’m so jealous of your trampoline workout I LOVE trampolines! I asked for one for Christmas every year but something about “safety” kept my parents from getting it haha. I’ve never met anyone from a reality show but since I’m from Chicagoland I did meet Michael Jordan once at his son’s basketball game.
Miranda @ Miranda Runs says
I want to try a trampoline workout SO badly! That would be so, SO much fun!
