If you’re a healthy living blogger, you’ve likely heard about various blogging conferences that take place all over the nation at various times of the year. Since I started blogging in September 2009, I’ve watched several conferences come and go and a little piece of me always regrets not attending at least one of these amazing events!
I absolutely love blogging.
It has unearthed a passion in me. It allows me to write, share, laugh and live with you guys and feel supported, challenged and vibrant. My blog is me and I would love to continue to learn about how to improve my blog and make it something you guys enjoy. I want my blog to be a place that you can come to for an escape from a hectic day. A place where you can smile and feel excited and inspired. A place where you can be you and I can be me and that’s enough.
When I first learned about FitBloggin’ last year, I didn’t feel ready to learn the ins and outs of blogging. I was still getting my feet wet and figuring out who I was as a blogger. This year, I’m ready. I’m ready to immerse myself in the various sessions and gain all the knowledge I can about my passion from others who do it so well.
The agenda for the conference offers tracks for beginning bloggers and advanced bloggers. There’s something for every blogger out there and just thinking about learning more about social media (I’m such a Twitter novice!), SEO and better blog photography excites me to no end.
What excites me most about FitBloggin’?
Learning from the experts. The speakers at the conference are people I deeply respect and admire for their passion for blogging and the success they’ve seen in the blogging world. They touch people, move people and inspire people daily. I have so much to learn by simply talking with them and listening to their experience and advice.
I hope I am able to attend FitBloggin’ and apply the knowledge I gain there to this blog. I want to continue to make positive changes to Peanut Butter Fingers and I hope that the evolution of this blog is a journey that we can all enjoy together.
I definitely hope to attend a blogging conference this year! I can’t wait to hear how you like this one!! 🙂
Woooo I hope you win, I’d love to see you there!!

I hope you get to attend, Julie! In my eyes, you are an inspirational blogger just like the others. 🙂

I love how you described your passion for blogging. As a novice myself who is also looking to grow, it’s great to read about another bloggers’ journey. Fingers crossed for you – hope you get to attend FitBloggin’!

I read soooo many blogs like yours, but PBFingers is my favorite. I never comment on blogs (aside from giveaways), but I felt compelled to tell you how great your blog is! PB Fingers is “an escape from a hectic day. A place where you can smile and feel excited and inspired.” I want to wish you good luck and I hope you get to attend!!
thank you so much, danielle. i really appreciate it!
If you wint his, PUHLEASE come to DC!! i used to maintain a health blog too but have recently let it go for various reasons. Regardless, I still am passionate about health and really enjoy checking your blog SEVERAL times a day for updates. It’s blogs like yours that help me continue my weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey (I’ve lost 100lbs so far!) and if you EVER come up my way I’d love to treat you to coffee (or froyo after lent? lol) as a big thanku!! please keep doing what you do – it’s so inspiring =)
your success is so wonderful! congrats to you! you’re amazing!
Hope you get to attend the conference!! I’d love to be able to go to them but they usually conflict with schedule/money issues. Oh well, someday!
I’d love to attend a conference. I’m all for self improvement. Our blogs are a direct reflection of who we are. I hope you dedicate a few posts about what you’ve learned from the sessions.

You go girl!
I love how you didn’t rush things. You weren’t ready last year but now you are…goodluck!
Ahh! Good Luck!! I hope you win! I just signed up for the conference earlier this week. I live in Baltimore so I figured there was no way I could pass up the chance to attend when it’s so close to home (as in pretty much across the street). I’m so excited!!! Hopefully we get to meet there! 🙂
I can’t even tell you how much you have inspired me and how much I look forward to reading your blog each day. You make a healthy lifestyle (cooking especially) something that is obtainable for me in my crazy life and I really thank you for that. You have also inspired me to consider starting a blog of my own with my mom. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing blog!!! 🙂
Good luck girl!! I hope you can attend! I am a new follower of your blog and so far absolutely love it! 🙂
You know I would LOVE if you could go!!!! If this one doesn’t work out, you simply must make it to HLS!
I am totally impressed with your bloggin’ passion! I hope you get to attend it!
Good luck Julie! Your blog is my favorite, the only blog that I check multiple times on a daily basis, and you are truly an inspiration to me!
That sounds like so much fun! I would love to go but my whole month of may is booked up:( I really would like to attend a conference soon though since I’m still relatively new to blogging..now I’m going to go look for some!
Love your blog! I like you, love healthy living blogs and I think your blog accurately depicts a healthy lifestyle. Every day I look forward to refreshing one of my favorite websites 3 times so I can keep up with your posts – Good luck 🙂
I really hope you get to go! I bet it’s going to be a great experience!!
Great entry Julie!! I hope you get to attend the conference. I’d love to go to FitBloggin and have got my eyes set on at least 2 conferences this year so that I can learn more about it. Like you, it motivates and excites me to no end!
Your entry for the conference looks great! Best of luck and I hope you are chosen to attend. I like that you included that while you’ve been blogging for a bit, that you’re ready to immerse yourself into the world of blogging to learn even more. I started blogging about a year ago and it is an ever-changing adventure that requires thoughtfulness, fearlessness, and creativity. Keep up the good work!
yeah, Baltimore!!
The entry is great..good luck!
I love it!! Hope you win 🙂
Hi!
I just found your blog a few days ago thanks to the Woman’s Day article…and I love it!! I just started blogging “seriously” a few months ago and also love it. My boyfriend just last night told me that I am kind of obsessed now… :-/ but in a good way!! Mine is more of a food blog, but I’m not limiting myself to anything, because there are no rules!! Anyways, I just wanted to say HIIII and good luck!!!!!
Stephanie
Fabulous entry, I hope you win, you certainly deserve to be there!

http://vizslathing.blogspot.com/ came across this site today and thought of you…didnt know if it was on your radar 😉
Great entry!

You definitely have my vote Julie! I hope you get to go, although I enjoy your blog just the way it is!
GOOD LUCK!
I totally get the need for continuous improvement. 😉
Aw, that’s such a thoughtful entry!!
Right now, I feel like how you did last year.. still getting my “feet wet” and trying to understand this whole blogging thing. I obviously don’t post nearly as much as all of the big bloggers (working and going to school part time EATS up my time… esp this week with my huge biostats test, yick!…. annnnnd I have puppy training and marathon training on top of that…!!) So yes, I am most definitely still trying to figure out how to balance it all. I do want to attend a bloggy conference at some point, though. Are you attending HLS in the fall?
Julie that is exactly what your blog is- an escape. I check this blog every day, sometimes twice a day as a happy escape from college. It is such a treat and I am so happy I found it!
ps- i have also given up sweets and I figure if you can do it, i can do it too!
I’ve been a little intimidated to go to a blogger conference (and cash strapped) but I really want to try and make it to the Foodbuzz Fest this year. 🙂
Good luck on getting to FitBloggin’!
Your blog is my favorite! I always read it first. I guess this entry does not involve voting, but if it does, you know your readers would be glad to help.
Thank you! 🙂
Yes! I really really hope you win because I live in Baltimore and would love to meet you in person 🙂 And of course, because you deserve to win 😉
“I want my blog to be a place that you can come to for an escape from a hectic day. A place where you can smile and feel excited and inspired.”….your blog is EXACTLY that, Julie! Thanks so much! 🙂
I hope you win & i hope you get to go! I would love to meet you!
Are you going Julie?!!!!!
