Tonight’s dinner was such a fun one… and one I think kids would absolutely love.
Flatbread pizza buffet!
My mom, sister and I had the idea to make various flatbread pizzas for dinner. When I suggested that we all take one pizza to top the way we wanted and then have my dad judge the best tasting pizza winner, everyone was game.
I made a BBQ chicken pizza…
My mom’s entry into the pizza competition was a Hawaiian pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple…
And my sister made a caprese pizza with mozzarella, basil and cherry tomatoes.
I think my sister should win on appearance alone! Dang.
We all gobbled up the pizza and some rotisserie chicken while my dad debated the winner.
The first one he ruled out?
Mine! 
When my dad wants pizza, he wants pizza, pizza with cheese and marinara… not BBQ sauce as a base. He said he really liked mine, but didn’t realize the sauce was BBQ sauce and that threw him for a loop.
I imagine biting into a pizza topped with BBQ sauce when you’re expecting marinara sauce is a bit like taking a big gulp of milk when you think it’s water. Bleh.
In the end my mom’s Hawaiian pizza took first prize.
It was a brutal blow, but I nursed my bruised ego with some cherry vanilla ice cream.
Ice cream makes everything better. That is a fact.

When I was little, I took a big gulp of a (non alcoholic) pina colada thinking it was milk. It took forever to like coconut after that!
Props to you for keeping us updated on our Bachelor news! I think Ben F will in fact be better than Ashley’s season, but I agree, he seemed like a down to earth guy that will might get changed by the show. Nevertheless, think he isn’t quite my type, but hopefully he makes it more interesting than the last Bachelorette!
What a fun idea! I made a bbq pizza the other night and it was LOVE. But yes, if you’re not expecting that, it might be a little off 😉

I am so excited for Ben F. to be the next bachelor. I was a big William fan but once he left I fell for Ben F. He is so hot and seems so nice and funny and silly. I look forward to seeing more of him!

oooh i loved constantine! He seemed like the most real, down-to-earth guy on the show. Constantine probably didn’t want to be the next bachelor because “falling in love” on a reality tv show is not authentic enough for him.
I’m not sure Ben F is in a good emotional place to be the next bachelor?

I don’t think that I like that Ben was chosen. He seems too normal and I am not going to lie…most of the female contestants that go after the Bachelor are a bunch of crazies! I will still be watching, of course, but it just doesn’t seem like the right fit. Plus, I think he’ll be sorta awkward!
I absolutely loved BEN! He was my all time favorite. Definitely excited but the Bachelor Pad is my entertainment for now.
He TOTALLY looks like Rafael Nadal (Spanish tennis player)! He was so sweet on the show, so I hope he finds love this time around!

mmm bbq chicken pizza…almost as good as buffalo wing pizza. mmm.
i’ve never seen any seasons of the bachelor/ette except for one episode while on a cruise-dont ask-when the one young lady got engaged to a snowboarder(i dont remember their names). it was hilarious to me but probably not to anyone else. that being said-whoever ben f. is, he’s pretty freaking gorgeous.
Ben F was nice, but not made out for that show—i think Kasey should be the bachelor- ha NOT. (kasey scares me if you’ve been watching bachelor pad)

The pizza contest sounds like fun. I think I would’ve gone with your sisters for my fav. BBQ pizza is good but not the same as regular marinara sauce 😉 I’m also not a fan of Hawaiian pizza. Pineapple on pizza just seems (and tastes) weird in my opinion.

My favorite pizza topping is peso + mozzarella. Really simple but seriously delicious!

That’s really cool!!! We had pita pizzas last night!!!!!! I had one with tons of veggies and mozzarella, some people had chicken, and others had some sausage!
I really liked Ben F. last season and thought he seemed so genuine. I don’t often think that about the person they choose to be the Bachelor, because they’re making out with girls left and right … I’m afraid I’ll stop liking him! That said, I will definitely be watching 🙂

I don’t partake in The Bachelor watching. I stick with the more classy reality shows, you know, like Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Bahahaha. (;
We do pizza competitions with friends a lot and it is a ton of fun. Instead of flat bread we either get the pre-made dough from the bakery or a friend will make the dough with her bread maker. We are all super competitive so it is a lot of fun.
Aw, I loved Ben F. He didn’t stick out to me at first, but when he painted the mural at the kids home he won me over! I thought he was so genuine and sweet (once he got over his whole “I dont do serious relationships” thing). I can’t wait to watch…it’s always so dramatic when it’s a bunch of women in the house!

I don’t know how I feel about Ben F as the Bachelor. Of course I am going to watch. I am just not a huge fan of him. I think the is too whiny for me.
We LOVE making flatbread pizzas at home!! Did you use Flat Outs?? Yum!! Also, if you’re up for it, try using Naan! DELICOUS!! Way more calories but sooo good!!

Oh I love making pizza on the flatout wraps!! The last one I made was a BBQ chicken one, so I would have voted yours 1st place 🙂 They all look so yummy though! And I do love a good Hawaiian pizza.
I’m not sure how I feel about Ben being the next Bachelor. I would have liked for it to be someone new. I’m kind of tired of the show recycling people. I liked Ben well enough, but I thought he was a tad boring, I dunno, I’ll have to wait and see how he is when he’s the Bachelor.

Great idea with the flatbreads. I had my dad over a while ago and made a few pizzas and had lots of toppings chopped up- it was awesome, kinda like a make your own pizza bar!
I definitely would have picked your pizza, I love BBQ chicken pizza, I tried it for the first time in Calzone form at Mellow Mushroom in college. So good! And I’m all for Ben being the bachelor! Haha and I always get him confused with Constantine.
