Typically when we go to the dog park, we spend half the time playing fetch with Sadie and the other half of the time walking the trails at the park.
Not today! Today our time at the park was dominated by round after round of fetch!
Sadie spent a lot of time in the water today, swimming around after her slobbery tennis ball. I think she’ll sleep well tonight!
Dinner
When we arrived home, dinner came together quickly thanks to some two-ingredient crock pot chicken we had waiting for us.
After adding a bit of taco seasoning to the mix, I used the seasoned chicken in a pseudo-quesadilla that I made by warming up a FlatOut flatbread on the griddle, sprinkling it with cheese and leftover steamed broccoli and cauliflower, and topping it with another FlatOut flatbread.
This was so good! I blame the cheese… and the chicken… and the flatbread. Okay, everything but the vegetables, though they added a nutritional punch, so they were pivotal in their own right.
Foodzie Steals My Heart
After dinner it was time to break into a box of goodies from Foodzie that I received through the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program.
According to the Foodzie website, Foodzie is an online marketplace where you can discover and buy food directly from small passionate food producers and growers. Foodzie believes that instead of a small number of large food companies, there should be a large number of small food companies. I love that!
This box was a Foodzie Tasting Box, a neat package full of new and delicious food products to try that people can subscribe to receive from the company monthly.
In the box:
If I had a Foodzie subscription, I can assure you I’d start salivating the minute I saw their package on my doorstep!
Since I am a curious person by nature, I tore into quite a few of the goodies in the box after dinner.
I started with the freeze dried pineapple from Peeled Snacks.
I loved that the only ingredient in the bag was dried pineapple! Very tasty! I bet this would be fantastic stirred into Greek yogurt or sprinkled on top of a smoothie bowl.
Up next was an almond biscotti by Biscotti Bari.
On my gosh! This biscotti tasted so good that I figured it was probably extremely calorie-dense, but the entire biscotti had only 90 calories and tasted perfectly buttery and slightly sweet. I’m not sure how they do it, but I am a fan.
Now that I am adequately full, please excuse me while I entertain my husband.
We’re testing out hiking gear for Ryan’s big guy’s hiking trip that he’ll be going on soon.
Tonight is test-the-sleeping-bag night!
We’re so special.

random suggestion, but maybe you should let Sadie do a guest post…It seems she has a lot to say 😉

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and extremely broad for
me. I am looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
