Has anyone started reading this month’s book club selection?
I ended up staying up entirely too late reading last night.
For some reason this book makes me incredibly antsy and uneasy. I keep waiting for something awful to happen as I read each page which makes me read it for an inordinate amount of time every time I sit down with the book. I only have 30 pages or so left, so I’m assuming I’ll finish it at bedtime tonight. It definitely draws me in!
Speaking of reading, are any of you guys on Goodreads?
The website is pretty darn cool and allows you to keep track of the books you’ve read, browse books your friends are reading and receive recommendations for books you may like based on the ratings you give to other books you’ve read.
That’s a little glimpse of my Goodreads ratings page.
You may find me on Goodreads here. Let’s be friends!
Workout
This morning’s workout was the same as last Monday’s boot camp workout, but the tempo of every exercise changed, making it even harder. I actually had to decrease my weights on several of the exercises to make it through the workout without compromising my form.
Just like last week, the Bosu lunges kicked my butt. One day lunges won’t make me want to keel over. One day.
Breakfast
I think I may have a muesli obsession. After eating muesli overnight oats several times last week and making muesli almond date bars yesterday, you’d think I’d be muesli-ed out.
Not so!
I actually made granola with the muesli over the weekend as well and could not stop eating it by the handful. Something about all of the nuts, seeds and dried fruits simply calls to me!
Question of the Morning
- What food can you currently not get enough of every day?
clare @ fittingitallin says
SALMON. I’m on such a huge salmon kick.
Brandi says
Bananas! If I don’t have one with breakfast I feel off! 🙂
I have been craving cottage cheese the past few days, so I picked some up yesterday. This might be a new craving!
Daina says
Do you know where you can buy that muesli? Oh, I also did some of your incline walking interval workouts – they were great! Thanks
peanutbutterfingers says
here’s a link to their store locator: http://www.mueslifusion.com/stores i’m also trying to get them to do a giveaway!
Khushboo says
Greek yogurt is my current obsession…I’m currently my second pot of the day!
Stacy says
I finished the book. Was SO good. I’m a mother of two and it was kind of hard to believe though…. But, overall good. 😉
Also, have you read any of Emily Giffins books? She’s coming out with a new one in a couple of months. ALL of them are sooo good!
peanutbutterfingers says
i have!
Ruthie Hart says
I have been using Goodreads for a long time! I used to just have a google doc of books I wanted to read but I love their site and how you can track books you’ve read and rate them too 🙂
Katie M. says
I finished the book in about 7 hours. I couldn’t put it down!!!
Becki says
I’m loving Greek Yogurt right now. I could bathe in the stuff.
Whitney @ The Adventures of Now says
I’ve been eating even more greek yogurt than normal …and always have at least one apple a day.
I’m on Goodreads and always adding books, new goal is to start moving them to the “have read” shelf!
MigraineMe says
I get into phases where I can’t live without a food, but the one that I can never get enough of is simply bananas! I can’t live without them. ever.
Natasha says
For now I am obsessed with granola and sunflower seed butter. Oh, and avocado!
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
I want to try out goodreads – I’ve been meaning to so maybe I finally will 🙂
Carrie @ Lift Eat Repeat says
I can’t get enough Sweet Potatoes lately- I want them for every meal, besides maybe breakfast. Although I’ve heard sweet potato oats da bomb!
Claire says
I’ve always wanted to try Museli; I just may have to do that! I am currently obsessed with protein rich foods like eggs, nuts, nut butters, and *gasp* meat. Since trying to become vegetarian/vegan, I have been craving meat and protein. Perhaps this is a sign I need more of something I’m not getting??
nicole says
peanut butter straight from the jar…
peanutbutterfingers says
a girl after my own heart!
Lina says
There are two things I just can’t get enough of at this moment; Almonds (regular, no salt) & hot chocolate made of 100% cocoa and oatmilk. I drink litres every day…
Chelsea says
Ah yay I’m glad you hoped on the goodreads bandwagon! That website is amazing for book lovers haha. I’m adding you now!
Melissa @ Some Sugar Added says
I am totally joining Goodreads…I feel like I’m always struggling to find good books and figure out what to read next, so this looks perfect!
Ellie@Fit for the Soul says
I bet it’s even better with muesli! I can’t get enough of some “date bites” i made the other day flavored with cran/orange! 😀 And coconut butter, and veggies!
Raquel @ Toned, Tan, Fit & Techie says
Isn’t it great when you get a food obsession! Mine currently is beets! I love them! In cottage cheese, in Salads, on their own, I buy them fresh and boil them, roast them, or even just grate them raw into my salads. I never eat them out of a can, I just will not, Sam I am. 🙂
peanutbutterfingers says
i LOVE beets! i need to try making my own.
Nicole says
yogurt – any kind! and always PB and fruit 🙂
Amber K says
I love GoodReads! It helps me keep track of my to-read list. I used to write down various books I wanted to read on whatever paper was closest to me. GoodReads makes the whole process a looot less messy.
Emily @ Glitz Glam Granola says
Ohh I need to join Goodreads! I usually just use Amazon Wish List to keep track of books but I like that you can review and compare with others! And museli granola sounds fabulous! Not a food, but I cannot get enough sparkling water- I’m on a total kick right now!
Gemma says
This has just reminded me to update my Goodreads page. I love that site, especially the tailored recommendations. I’ve added you as a friend too.
Jasper @ crunchylittlebites says
how is it that granola or muesli is ever-more-appealing than fruits or vegetable — i can always overeat granola but do not usually find myself accidentally eating too many veggies 🙂
Abby says
I stayed up waaaay too late reading last night too! That book makes me really antsy and almost scared, but I just have to keep reading!
Emily says
Grapefruits. Its so strange…. just now as I sit in my office during lunch, a co-worker opened the door to tell me that he can always smell ‘citrus’ wafting through the door!
I eat them like oranges! Oh and about 6 spoonfulls of almond butter… originally peanut butter, but I FINALLY got bored. lol
Ashley says
It is refreshing to hear about having to decrease your weights for the first bootcamp workout this week. I had to do the same – my butt and thighs are still sore from last week. I considered myself really fit, but sometimes exercises that you aren’t use to doing can really get you!
Michele says
I love Goodreads! I sent you a Friend request!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Peanut butter, of course! 😉
That and granola, bananas and hummus! YUM! (not together!)
Serena says
Granola! Got some from whole foods that is so dang good.
Lauren says
I love goodreads! I am, unfortunately, a bit behind your book club… (I am still reading The Paris Wife)
Maria aka Lil Mys Ninja says
I love goodreads! 🙂 I added you. Unfortunately I havent started reading the book club selection because I’ve got about 3 books going on at the same time right now. I’m hoping to jump in for next month though!
Allie {teaspoon of LIFE} says
